PAINTING OF 4 DYKE WALLS AT MCI

1. Mangalore Coastal Installation (MCI) located at Baikampady, near APMC yard, Mangalore of Karnataka. MCI caters to different sales areas of Mangalore Retail Territory, Gulbarga Territory, Calicut territory, Rescue loads to Belgaum Territory and I&C. MCI is the first certified NANO location on 30.09.2014, has 08 bay top loading TLF for dispatches & maintains 100 % NANO consistently. MCI being a coastal location is receiving rainfall for more than 6 months per year. MCI has 13 above ground tanks inside 4 impervious dykes. Due to heavy rains, there is high vegetation growth on dyke walls which eventually will affect the imperviousness and overall strength of the dyke. View above it is proposed to paint these so that imperviousness of the dyke is maintained. This will also maintain the overall health of the facility in an aesthetic manner in line with the BPCL Policy and procedures. Verified.
