Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exceeding 400 sqm, exceeding 50mm but not exceeding 100mm deep including removing the materials to a distance not exceeding 50 metre and stacking, complete all as specified and directed.

150mm thick (Compacted thickness) WBM in two layer of 75mm each with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size) of granite, trap or basalt spreading and compaction with 8 to 12 tonne power roller and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed.

Continuous brick edging, with width equal to the width of the brick, laid dry on end vertically with burnt clay bricks of sub class 'B' bricks, complete all as specified and directed.

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with compressed air to remove all loose dirt etc., and applying evenly a tack coat on existing black top surfaces with cationic bitumen emulsion RS-1 grade conforming to IS:8887 @ 2.5 Kg per Ten Square Metre and including Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% paving bitumen using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50 -70 penetration) binder content by weight of total mix rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient, complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Preparing un-surfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with compressed air to remove all loose dirt etc., and applying evenly a prime coat on prepared surfaces with cationic bitumen emulsion SS-1 grade conforming to IS:8887 @ 7.5 Kg per Ten Square Metre and including Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% paving bitumen using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50 -70 penetration) binder content by weight of total mix rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient, complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. -in-Charge.

Premix bituminous macadam with 4% paving using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50 -70 penetration) bitumen binder, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness upto maximum 75mm), complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Repair to pot holes any depth not exc 1 sqm each and depression in patch over 50mm, shall also be carried out under this item and preparation to surfaces including removing the rubbish materials are deemed to be included under quoted rates.

Note for item No. 4 to 6 : (a) Preparation of mix in hot mix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the required temperature of mix under all conditions till it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these items shall include for carrying out the works with deployment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable on this account. (b) To achieve marshal stability of 1050 KN and all as per SSR Part-I Clause No. 20.B.4. (c) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 34.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.

Surface dressing not exceeding 15 cm deep a and getting out in any type of soil in road side berms including all necessary cutting/ filling and finish to require level complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

Shingle filling in floors or pavings, laid in layers n exc. 15 cm thick, spread, levelled, blinded with earth and rammed including watering, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) in ground floor and in paving not exceeding 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level), complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.
