REPAIR/ REPLACEMENT OF EXTERNAL ELECTRIFICATION SYSTEM ALONGWITH STREET LIGHTS AT EAST OF MALL ROAD UNDER GE (EAST) JALANDHAR CANTT

Repair/ rectification for street/ security light/ perimeter light/ flood light any type, any make and any capacity against complaints of received through telephone or in person to make the security/ street lights in serviceable & functional condition as intimated by JE in-charge by rectification/ trace out the fault which includes disconnecting connection wire, removing/ taking down of street/ security light fitting from wall/ bldg/ plinth/ LT/ HT PCC/ steel tubular/ swan neck poles/ octagonal poles upto 11 mtr height from ground level or any other location, bring to MES workshop, opening the screws, step opening, diagnosing the fault, replacing the defective spare parts/ connection wire or any other part in presence of JE (E/M) or deptt rep etc, cleaning of light fitting/ glass/ acrylic cover, re-assembling, testing for functioning, shifting back to site and re-fixing on GI pipe bracket/ wall/ pole after repair, making necessary connections or tightening of loose connection on ACSR conductor/ in bar chamber/ in DB, including any type of repair in timer switch box as required to make the light fitting functional. The replacement of parts i.e. driver, SPD, LED lamp, LED panel, MCB contactor, or any other part if required shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item of BOQ.

Notes : (a) Light fittings, flexible wire and LED driver, street light timer, MCBs, contactors, junction boxes or any other item etc if required to be replaced in repair shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of BOQ for supply only in-replacement. The quoted rate include cost of minor parts i.e. screws, thimble, insulation tape etc required. (b) Complaints shall be attended and rectified within 04 hrs of receipt of complaint. (c) Repair of one light shall be measured as one unit for measurement. (d) Contractor will get make and sample approval of items required to be replaced mentioned at Srl No. 13.00 to 20.00 here-in-after and will hand over to JE in-charge with all PV & TC to ensure repair of street light any time when required during currency of contract and these items/ material will be issued by JE (E/M) daily on actual assessment of complaints to replace the defective part and for accounting of items. The contractor will maintain register regarding details of daily complaints received, pending, rectified, items replaced on daily basis duly signed by contractor, JE etc.

(e) Old retrieved material shall be deposited to JE (E/M) in AGE (E/M) yard/ E/M workshop on same day and will be given to contractor at the time of RAR after necessary recovery under Sch of Credit. (f) The contractor or his rep will get complaints from JE/ Engineer-in-Charge on daily basis in morning to repair lights. The contractor/ his authorised representative will receive the instruction/ complaints from JE (E/M) regarding detail of security light to be repaired daily at 0900 Hrs. In case contractor/ his rep do not receive complaint in morning, a recovery as per relevant PS clause shall be recovered which remains pending due to non-availability of contractor manpower. (g) Contractor will provide vehicle, ladder, any other tools & plants required at site at his own costs nothing extra will be admissible on account of this. (h) If a number of lights found unserviceable due to non-availability/ any defect in electric supply, then making of all lights functional rectification of electric supply be measured as one unit. (j) The contractor/ his rep will report back to JE as same day for feedback of complaints done/ rectified.

Supplying, erecting and fixing pre-stressed concrete pole 9.0 metre long having x-sectional area 102 x 172mm at top and 102 x 279mm at bottom, class 10, complete all as specified including painting of poles with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of primer, black & white strips upto 1.5mtr height from top of PCC coping and numbering of poles fixed in repairs of old broken pole complete all as specified and directed. (PCC and earth work shall be measured & paid for separately)

Material and labour for swaged steel tubular poles complete with cast iron base plate, finial taper plug, bolts, nuts & screws type 410 SP-31 (9 mtr long) including painting of poles upto 1.5m height from coping with two coats of synthetic enamel paint black & white strips and numbering of poles complete all as specified and directed (PCC and earth work shall be measured & paid for separately)

Material and labour for PCC (1:4:8) type D-2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in foundation of electric pole, etc. including necessary form work and fair finish to exposed surface without using extra cement complete all as specified & directed.

Material and labour for stay assembly complete with accessories as shown in electrical plate No. 1 including loop type insulator large size, stay clamps, stay plate 230 x 230 x 6mm, galvanized stay rod 16mm dia, 14mm dia stay bow, galvanized stay stranded wire 7/3.15mm, necessary excavation and any type of earth work complete all as specified an directed. Laying only serviceable bricks retrieved during taken out of cable from excavation, laid flat in trenches over the cable with the length of brick perpendicular to the direction of cable of length, adjacent/ abutting each other complete all as specified.

Material and labour for locating fault of LT underground cables of size 10 Sqmm to 35 Sqmm 3.5 core/4 core laid in trenches by excavating and visually (upto 10 mtr of length) the faulty portion of cable, taking out to protection bricks or cover, sand and faulty cable and making of joints or repair to existing joint including all jointing material such as LT joint, ferrule and relaying after repair including refiling of sand and relaying of brick protection cover complete all as specified and directed. Note : (a) LT joint will be measured and paid separately.

Material and labour for locating fault of LT underground cables of size 50 Sqmm to 70 Sqmm 3.5 core/4 core laid in trenches by locating fault with fault locator machine with machine operator and excavating the faulty portion of cable (upto 10 mtr of length) taking out the protected bricks or cover, sand, faulty cable and making of joints or repair to existing joint including all jointing material such as LT joint, ferrule and relaying after repair including refiling of sand and relaying of brick/ protection cover complete all as specified and directed. Notes : (a) LT joint will be measured and paid separately. (b) The contractor will have to arrange the fault locating machine. A penalty of Rs. 300 per hour will be imposed/ levied, if contractor fails to arrange the machine within 6 hours of fault intimation. The quoted rate includes cost of arranging, shifting of fault locator machine, any operating charges at site. T&P required, number of times as and when required during the currency of contract. Nothing extra will be paid on the account. (c) The qty catered will be executed different times during currency of work whenever fault occurs/ develops, hence fault locating machine may be required numbers of times during currency of work as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Hence contractor shall quote his rate accordingly considering this aspect.

Material and labour preparation of old painted surface of PCC LT poles and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint in alternate black & white strips of 30cm each upto 1.5 mtr height from top of PCC coping and numbering of poles including painting of two coats of aluminium paint on street light brackets, clamps, nut bolts, cross arm etc complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour for cutting/pruning of tree branches 1.5mtr all around the Lt overhead lines of span (not exceeding 50 mtr) and around the pole obstructing the overhead line & removing the branches to a distance not exceeding 200 mtr to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge. Note:- The rate quoted include any type of T&P i.e ladder, cutting machine, cutter, axe etc required at site.

Re-stretching of existing loose OH, LT ACSR conductor wire any type/ any supply including GI wire along the span of pole 4 to 6 lines for sagging within the permissible limit, including disconnecting cable connections, opening of binding wire, winding/ rewinding/ joining with aluminium winding wire in case of breakage of conductor and re-stringing at same place as same phase or changing the location to use as neutral or other phase complete all as directed and again fixing to insulators with binding wire and making outgoing electric cable connections. the size of binding wire of same size as made up of conductor complete all as specified and directed. Notes : (a) Nothing extra is admissible on account of jointing material and labour in case the conductor breaks during stretching. (b) Cutting trimming of hanging/ extended branches of trees upto a distance 2 m from the overhead HT/LT line and making the line clear upto the entire length of the re-stretched ACSR feeder including removal and disposing of the cut tree/ branches 200 m away for the site as directed is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (c) Piece of conductor of suitable size required for connecting the broken conductor included in the rates quoted by the contractor. (d) Each span will be consist of 3 to 5 ACSR conductor. Which will be measured as one unit only. Hence contractor shall quote his rate accordingly.

Material and Labour for removing of fallen/ broken pole due to any climatic/ mis-happening condition with help of crane by disconnecting all conductor, jumpers, cross arms, street light fitting and fixing the new pole with re-stretching the existing overhead line and making good complete all as specified and directed Note : PCC pole and re-stretching will be measured and paid against other items of BOQ

Notes : 1. If result is not satisfactory then contractor will do 2nd earthing on his own cost. 2. Contractor will give 2 years warranty of earthing in writing. 3.
