M&L for testing of existing earthing in E/M installation using four point method (wenner method) or three terminal methods (fall of potential method) with appropriate earth resitance tester, spike and wire, recording of earth test results in register as per format given by Engr-in-charge and submitting the same to Engr-in-charge after test complete all as directed at site.

M&L for reviving of old unserviceable earthing by excavating the existing earthing, checking the condition of earth electrode of any type, Water pipe, earthing strip of any type, providing of charcoal, salt in alternate layer all arround the GI Pipe/ earth electrode after cleaning it throughly if found serviceable, re- fixing of existing protection pipe, earthing strip, watering pipe, funnel etc and returning, filling in excavated soil, making of earth pit chamber PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 and earth pit chamber cover reinforced with hard drawn steel wire fabric weighing not less than 4 Kg/sqm in liew of CI cover as per earth plate No 3 of SSR complete all as specifed and directed at site.

ITEM NO. 2.00 CONTD... Note :- 1. After excavation of existing earth, if the condition of earth electrode, GI protection pipe, watering pipe, funnel, earth strip is not satisfactory, the same shall be provided under relevent item as supply and fixing, 2. If the condition of earth electrode, GI protection pipe, earth strip, funnel, GI watering pipe is serviceable, then earth shall be revived using necessary quantity of charcoal and salt, cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in unit quoted rates, 3. Cost of excvation, R&F, removal, making of new earth pit chamber of PCC, PCC chamber cover, charcoal and salt, nuts, bolts, washers shall be deemed to be included in unit quoted rates

Supply and fixing in repair of Galvanised iron earth electrode plate of size 600x600x6mm complete all as specified and directed at site.

Supply and fixing in repair of watering funnel as per existing for earthing complete all as specified at site complete all as specified and directed by Engineer -in- charge.

M&L in repair galvaniased iron (GI) strip 32mm x 6 mm buried in ground/ Passed through pipe incuding connected by means of exothermic brazing, nuts and bolts where required complete all as specified and directed by Engineer -in- charge.

M&L in repair galvaniased iron (GI) strip 50mm x 6 mm buried in ground/ Passed through pipe incuding connected by means of exothermic brazing, nuts and bolts where required complete all as specified and directed by Engineer -in- charge.

M&L for refixing of serviceable GI earth strip of any size retrived from site complete all as specified and directed by Engineer -in- charge.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60 cm x60 cm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground ,(Earth pit not less than 2.25 meter deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 meter below normal ground level ,connected to and including galvanised iron earth wire 32 X 6 mm by means of nut, bolts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel and provision of charcoal dust and common salt packed all around the earth plate including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil and testing complete all as specified and directed and shown in electrical plate number 3 of MES SSR part-I (1991) in and including dismantling of old earthing

ITEM No. 8.00 CONTD... (a) Excavation and earth work for drilling hole for electrode in any type of Soil. (b) PCC pit in cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1, Pre cast RCC cover with suitable handle 40 mm thick in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric weighing not less than1.87 Kg/ Sq meter. (c) Funnel with watering pipe of GI 20 mm nominal bore light grade and lugs etc complete all as specified and directed (d) 40 mm nominal bore medium grade GI protection pipe 5 meter long for protection of earthing lead complete all as specified and directed. (e) Requisite quantity of common salt and charcoal. (f) Testing of earthing.

M & L bore earthing not less than 250 mm dia 16 feet deep filled with black soil up to 7 feet from bottom complete with galvanized iron pipe 40 mm bore medium grade 3 meter long tapers at bottom & provided 12 mm holes (staggered) at 75 mm centre to centre up to 2.5 meter of length from bottom , burried directly in ground filled with 45 cm alternate layer of chemical magnisium sulphate & salt up to ground level connected to galvanized iron wire 4mm dia as earthing lead up to Cross arms by means of bolt and nut, check nuts and washer of galvanized iron or steel including brazing work and 15 mm dia light grade pipe for earth lead protection including all necessary earth work, excavation, earth chamber with PCC 1:3:6, type C1 and RCC chamber cover of PCC 1:2:4 with handle and 20mm dia GI watering pipe with funnel and wire mesh etc and testing on complete and including dismantling of old existiing earthing of any description complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

M & L bore earthing not less than 250 mm dia 16 feet deep filled with black soil up to 7 feet from bottom complete with galvanized iron pipe 40 mm bore medium grade 3 meter long tapers at bottom & provided 12 mm holes (staggered) at 75 mm centre to centre up to 2.5 meter of length from bottom , burried directly in ground filled with 45 cm alternate layer of chemical magnisium sulphate & salt up to ground level connected to galvanized iron strip 32 x 6 mm as earthing lead by means of bolt and nut, check nuts and washer of galvanized iron or steel including brazing work and 40mm dia light grade pipe for earth lead protection including all necessary earth work, excavation, earth chamber with PCC 1:3:6, type C1 and RCC chamber cover of PCC 1:2:4 with handle and 20mm dia GI watering pipe with funnel and wire mesh etc and testing on complete and including dismantling of old existiing earthing of any description complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L bore earthing not less than 200 mm dia 300 feet deep filled with black soil up to 50 feet from bottom complete with galvanized iron pipe 100 mm bore medium grade 6 meter long flanged at bottom & boltted/nuts & provided 12 mm holes (staggered) at centre to centre upto 250 feet complete length, burried directly in ground filled with 10 mtr alternate layer of chemical magnisium sulphate & salt up to ground level duly clamped on ground connected to galvanized iron strip 50x6 mm as earthing lead by means of bolt and nut, check nuts and brazing/welding, check nuts and washer of galvanized iron or steel including brazing work and 100mm dia light grade pipe for earth lead protection and testing on completion upto transformer neutral complete with funnel, earthing chamber and earthing lid cover and including taking down existing earthing of any description complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

NOTE FOR ITEM No. 9 TO 11.00 [i]. Excavation & earth work in any type of soil including removing of surplus material upto 100M [ii]. PCC (1:3:6) type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate in pit & 40mm thick precast RCC (1:2:4) type B1 cover 50x50 cm with 8mm round bar @ 15 cm C/C both ways. [iii]. Main earthing strip from earth electrode to test point upto 7.5 mtr. [iv]. Funnel with watering pipe [GI pipe] 20mm bore [ISI marked] medium grade & copper lugs and charcoal & salt as reqd. [v]. S&F GI Pipe light grade, 40mm dia bore, galvanized, with all fittings including taking down old existing GI pipe of any description complete all as specified and directed by Engineer -in- charge.

S&F GI Pipe medium grade, 40mm dia bore, galvanized, with all fittings including taking down old existing GI pipe of any description complete all as specified and directed by Engineer -in- charge.

S&F in repair Bib taps, cast copper alloy with crutch or butterfly handle, screwed down, screwed for iron pipe or for brass ferrule and fixed complete all as specified and directed by Engineer -in- charge.

M&L 40mm thick plain cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-1 (using 20 mm graded stone aggregate), earth pit chamber including Pre cast RCC cover with suitable handle, reinforced with welded steel wire fabric weighing not less than1.87 Kg/ Sq meter including demolition of existing unserviceable chamber complete all as specified and directed by Engineer -in- charge.

Supply and fixing in replacement of earth resistance marking plate fabricated from MS plate not less than 3mm thick, in square shape of size 200x200mm, fixed to equal angle of size 20x20x3mm of length 0.75 mtr, 0.30 mtr shall be embedded in PCC of (1:2:4), type B-1, (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) of size 200x200x300mm below ground level in and including necessary earth work duly writing of earthing No and details of earth, painted with applicable colour code for conventional/ chemical earthing complete all as specified and directed by Engineer -in- charge.
