EXTENSION AND MODIFICATION OF RUNWAY CONTROLLER HUT AT TECHNICAL AREA AND ROOF TREATMENT AND CONSTRUCTION OF MONSOON DRAIN AT AIR FORCE STATION KALAIKUNDA UNDER GE (AF) KALAIKUNDA

Amount

Excavating in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth; for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. or for cable laying or not exceeding 10 sqm on plan and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth and getting out hard/dense soil or any type of soil, complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for cement concrete in foundation, filling and mass concrete in M7.5(Nominal Mix) using 40 mm nominal size graded crushed stone aggregate complete all as specified and as directed.

Materials and Labour for reinforced cement concrete M-25 design mix in foundations, including rafts, footings, foundation beams; plinth beams; bases for columns, etc.; basement slabs, under-reamed piles and mass concrete ,complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for reinforced cement concrete M-25 design mix in walls, retaining walls, basement walls, ballast walls and the like; any thickness; above top of footings; including attached pilasters and buttresses complete as specified and as directed.

M & L for reinforced cement concrete M-25 design mix in slabs supported on walls, beams and columns in floors, roofs, landings, balconies, canopies, deck slabs and in shelves and the like ,complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for precast cement concrete M15 (Nominal Mix) using 20 mm nominal size graded crushed stone aggregate in landings, cover slabs (for man holes etc.) chullah hoods, chajjas, water troughs, mangers, shelves and similar articles with plain faces fair faces, including chamfers, weatherings, throating etc. and setting in cement mortar (1:4) complete with joints to match complete all as specified and as directed

Supply and fix mild steel TMT bars 10 mm dia. and over, cut to length, bend to shape required including cranking, bending spirally for hopping for columns, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia. or securing with clips and including welding has to be done with minimum 20 cm over lap for new and old of any height. Complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning filling in soft/loose soil, including, spreading levelling watering and well ramming in layers not exc. 25 cm complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated soils to a distance not exceeding 50 Metres and depositing where directed at a level n. exc. 1.5 M above the starting point complete all asspecified and directed.

M & L for cement concrete M15 (Nominal Mix) using 20 mm nominal size graded crushed stone aggregate in lintels upto 1.5 m clear span, cills, steps; seismic and other similar bands, plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, parapets and railings upto 60 cm in height, copings, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, kerbs, water troughs, slab staging for water tanks and the like including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating including necessary formworks complete all as specified and directed by Engineer- in-charge.

M & L for extra for forming fair finished drain or channel 30 cm inner girth in cement concrete, using extra cement, including forms, moulds, mitred/ stopped ends etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

Materials and Labour for rendering 10 mm thick, cement plaster, in cement mortar (1:4) on surface fair face of brickwork in walls and finishing surface even and smooth without using extra cement, complete all as specified and directed.

Cutting/Drilling of existing concrete/rocks etc.at a depth of upto 02 mtr from the existing ground level and maintain proper slope with adjoining drain with help of Horizontal directional drilling method so as to drill a bore hole of 550mm dia and insert (500 to 550)mm carbon steel pipe (Sch-20) of length 30 mtr without damaging the existing top bituminious/concrete surface,maintaining proper surface texture and surface condition remains intact without leaving any FOD,so that runway is available for operation immediately.Excavated materials/soil should be removed to a distance not exceeding 100 mtrs and deposited where directed by Engr-in-charge. Note:- (i) Flexible/rigid surfaces of runway should not get any kind of damage during the process of digging and inserting casing pipe through entire length of drain or to any adjoining drains etc.damages made if any shall be made good by the contractor without any extra cost,complete all as specified and as directed. (ii) Slope of drain will be tested by the contractot prior and after of work.All the expenses in this regard shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (iii) Carbon steel pipe (Sch -20) will be measured and paid separately and handling,transporation,fabrication lying aliging,welding with root run on TIG process and subsequent runs by electrodes (3 Runs minium)laying by HDD method charges included in the quoted rate. (iv) The work shall be executed through specialist firm who have sufficient experienced on scope of work and shall be approved by GE before commencement of work.(v) Contractor has to submit detailed Design of HDD profile with data of hydrological and geo-technical surveys furnished including detailed engineering, preparation of all necessary construction drawings and installation process drawing of carbon steel pipe as mentioned herein after across the runway by 'Horizontal Directional Drilling' method as per latest specification and applicable drawing or as directed by Engineer -in–charge and same shall be approved before commencement of work. (vi)Defect liability Period:-Defect liability period shall be sixty calendar months after works have been handed over to Government.Accordingly condition 46 of GCC (IAFW-2249) shall be amended to extent mention above

Supply only ERW type CS pipes Sch-20(coated and bare) conforming to API 5L "Gr"B" PSL -1 with level ends of nominal dia 500mm with external and internal coating with Epoxy based paint over a coat of suitable primer as per manufacture's instruction. Make:Jindal/Sail/Electrosteel or equivalent make as approved all as specified and directed

Surface excavation in hard/dense soil not exceeding 30cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out complete including removal to distance exceeding 250m but not exceeding 1000m all as specified and directed.

Materials and Labour for, broken stone or boulder hardcore of gauge not exceeding 63 mm, deposited, spread and levelled in layers not exceeding 15 cm thick, watered and rammed to a true surface , complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for 100 mm thick plain cement concrete M10 (Nominal Mix) using 40 mm nominal size graded stone aggregates in floors and pavings as in sub-base laying in panel including necessary steel formwork complete all as specified and as directed.

Materials and Labour for 25 mm thick plain cement concrete M15 (Nominal Mix), using 12.5 mm graded aggregate as sub base /paving/hardstanding, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and Labour for chequered ceramic tiles, coloured, 10-12 mm thick (square/rectangular) area of each tile exceeding 0.06 Sq M but not exceeding 0.11 Sq M, conforming to IS 4457-2007, on floors, set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in white cement mixed with pigment to match colour,complete all as specified and directed. MAKE:- (Johnson ‘Endura’/ Somany ‘Durastone’/ Regency ‘Duro’)

M & L for formwork to sides of concrete foundations, footings, bases of columns, raft and raft beams, sides and soffits (if any) of foundation and plinth beams; and similar work; vertical or to batter for rough finished flat surfaces of concrete complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Formwork to faces of walls, retaining walls, abutments, parapets & staircase railing and similar work including attached pillasters, buttresses, etc.; vertical or to better Fair finished surfaces of concrete flat complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Formwork to soffits of suspended slabs such as roof slabs, floor slabs, landings & similar work; not exc. 200m thick (Horizontal or sloping) Fair finished surfaces of concrete flat

Materials and Labour for plain cement concrete (1:2:4) type B1 using 20 mm graded aggregate as in surface channels and drains complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix mild steel TMT bars 5 mm dia. and over up to and including 10 mm dia. in stirrups, spacers, binders etc. cut to length, bend to shape required including cranking, hooking ends and binding with and including mild steel wire (annealed) not less than 0.9 mm dia. or securing with clips complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Reinforced concrete pipes 500mm dia, class NP2, laid & jointed complete with collars complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of lime concrete/ cement concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for including taking out of old damaged unserviceable tarfelt or membrane of any description and removing of debris from premises and cleaning roof surfaces by brushing etc and washing down with water and removing dirt, dust etc complete for preparation of roof treatment complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for 40 mm thick (Average) cement concrete type B-I, 1:2:4 (using 20 mm graded aggregate) as in roof padding in order to maintain proper slope and finished fair surfaces to receive cement screed bed complete all as specified & as directed.

M & L for brushing neat cement slurry with 3.0 kg of cement per sq meter complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & labour for screed bed or bedding layer 15 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 over RCC Roof mixed with water proofing compound @ 3% by weight of cement or manufacturer instruction on roof surface for maintained proper slope to receive priming coat for roof treatment all as specified and as directed.. (Note;- water proofing compound will be measured and paid separately as supply only)

M&L for water proofing treatment to RCC roof slab including parapet comprising with the following course of treatment/ specifications from bottom to top up to 10 mtr height including necessary scalfolding and safety :- (a) Applying bituminous primer @ 0.40 litre/sqm by the same membrane manufacture of density at 25° C, 0.87-0.89 kg/ litre and viscosity 70-160 cps over the primer coat the layer of membrane shall be laid using Butane Torch over prepared surfaces of roof including parapet surfaces confirming to IS : 3384. (b) One layer applying APP modified bituminous water proofing membrane with polyester reinforcement and mineral top finish of 03 mm thick (not less than 3.8 kg/ sqm ± 5 % per sqm shall be taken to cover the thickness of slab and shall be finished by a membrane flushing. Note: (i) Laying of APP based membranes shall be done by using Butane Torch application or as per manufacturer's instructions. (ii) Side overlaps shall be minimum 75mm and the end laps shall be minimum 100mm and sealing of all overlaps & joints as per manufacturer instruction. (iii) For parapets, membranes shall be taken to a height of minimum 60 Cm and then inserted to the parapet in a groove. The same shall be finished by a membrane flashing. 3. APP membrane shall be laid and tested by the manufacturer deploying their own team under strict supervisionand Leak proof testing with ponding with water shall be done for 72 hours in presence of user representative and report shall be sumitted. Requisite 10 years guarantee certificate from manufacturer along with contractor’s certificate required to be furnished after successfully completion of testing. The submission of both certificate is mandatory before issue of completion certificate.

All as per item ser No 11.00 herein before above but add or deduct for each 25mm girth or part there of over or under 30 cm all as specified & as directed.

Taking down and refixing the aluminium/copper earthing strips in same position with and including all new fittings and fixtures complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply only Liquid water proofing compound conforming to IS: 2645 - 1975 specification complete all as specified and as directed (Make : CICO No- 1/SIKA/ACCO PROOF).
