Taking down defective centrifugal pump set 25 HP by disconnecting the pump from motor after unscrewing nuts/ bolts of coupling, foundation, suction pipe delivery pipes and shifting of pump to workshop for repair/ servicing, comprising strip opening of pump, replacement of any defective parts, carrying out necessary lathe work, re-assembling and shifting from workshop to site, re-installation at location as directed by Engr-in-Charge, testing on full load capacity at least for 8 hrs, complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (a) The spares shall be measured and paid seperately in the relevent items given below. (b) Cost of labour for replacement of spares and transportation are deemed to be incl in the quoted rate. (c) The pumpset shall be spared for one week for repair from the date of complaint given by AGE/ JE E/M regarding breakdown. The Contractor is responsible for making alternate arrangement of pump set in case of time required more than one week. (d) In case services affected due to delay in repair of pump set, a penalty of Rs 500 per day will be levied from the contractor. (e) Please note that this penalty is exclusively other then the condition 67 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract. (f) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.

M&L for rewinding of induction electrical motor , 3 phase, 415 volts with suitable size of copper enameled winding wire and insulating materials incl disconnecting all electrical connections ,decoupling from pump,taking down the motor from foundation , cleaning and varnishing the stator & rotor winding, heating and drying, replacement of burnt terminals, greasing to bearings, re-assembling the motor and refixing of motor on the foundation by using new nut, bolts and washers, coupling with pump,checking alignment connecting all electrical connections,checking the vibrations, RPM and testing on full load all as directed and specified for the 25 HP motor capacity.

Note :- (a) In case of laying of CI/GI/DI pipe line is to be executed in civil area, it will be the responsibility of the contractor to obtain necessary permission for cutting of road & berm from BWSSB.

(b) For this purpose any charges/ amount to be paid online to BWSSB, shall deemed to be included in unit quoted rate by the bidder and nothing extra shall be admissible on this account.

(c) The T&P like JCB, Drill Machine, Moveable Generator etc required for cutting of road shall be arranged by the contractor & no extra cost shall be paid by MES for the same.

(d) After execution of work, the contractor shall make good disturbed portion of road with bitumen or PCC complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Cost of the same is deemed to be included in unit quoted rate.

Material and labour for Making arrangement to flush out the existing pipe line of any type of size 63 to 150 mm bore and upto 100m length, applying 4.5 N/sqmm pressure kg/sq cm pressure to remove scalings/ sludges/ other blocking materials to make smooth flow of water including testing all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Making arrangement to flush out the existing pipe line of any type upto 50 mm bore and upto 100m length, applying 4.5 N/sqmm pressure kg/sq cm pressure to remove scalings/ sludges/ other blocking materials to make smooth flow of water including testing all as specified and directed.

Note for item 80 & 81 :- (i) The Contractor is deemed to arrange necessary tools and equipments, removing or alteration of fittings from existing pipe lines, arragement of plugging devices, etc to build up specified pressure required to wash out the pipes. This shall be inclusive in quoted rate. (ii) Excavation and earth work required shall be measured and paid seperately. (iii) The flushing out shall be carried out with fresh filled water of well only duly chlorinated with specified sodium hypochlorite solution to disinfect the pipe lines from all pathogens and Coliform organisms.This shall be inclusive in quoted rate.

S&F in replacement Gun-metal, globe or gate valves, with iron wheel head, screwed both ends for iron pipe and fixed of size 50mm complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair Gun-metal, globe or gate valves, with iron wheel head, screwed both ends for iron pipe and fixed of size 40 mm complete all as specified and directed

Material and labour for Attending day to day water supply service related complaints like choking of rising main pipes of buildings, blockage in control valves/ float valves/ pipe fittings, etc, applying necessary engineering efforts like dismantle of pipes and fittings to clean and remove blocking objects, descaling of pipes, re-fixing of pipes on wall, etc to restore the proper flow of water to service tanks all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Note :- (a) The contractor has to attend above mentioned job in any location of entire CQAE (WE) Area

(b) The service tanks are positioned on roof top of multi storied buildings upto three storey. Contractor is responsible to ensure that the labour employed should be equipped with safety items like industrial helmet, safety belt, extensible ladder of 40 feet length, plumbing and cuttings tools, etc.

(c) The cost of rethreading of GI pipes of 25mm dia and adding of new GI nipple of suitable length after rethreading is deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(d) Due to shortage of water in the station, the repair work and testing required under this item need to be carried out during water supply distribution hours i.e. 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM. Nothing extra shall be permitted in this regard.

(e) The cost of repair to the damages of cemented surfaces/ external finishes/ metal clamps of rising pipes are also deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(f) In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 6 hrs after handing over routine/urgent complaints, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty clause given here as under.

(g) If the delay is more then 06 hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 100/- per job shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively other then the condition 67 of IAFW - 2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job is noticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt.

(h) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding.

Material and labour for Painting of steel tubular pole 7/9.0 metre long, by applying one coat of aluminium paint after scraping / brushing and cleaning the rust on pole and street light bracket. Aluminium painting will be done on pole above 1.5 metre height from ground level and balance 1.5 mtr from ground level will be painted by alternate layer of black and white with synthetic enamel paint (30 Cms Each). Pole Nos shall be written on pole with black paint in yellow circle of 150mm dia, complete all as specified and directed.

M &L for PCC (1:3:6) type C1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) as in copping to pole including necessary form work slightly rounding or squaring, complete all as specified and as directed.

(I) The parameters of input and output shall be maintained as under :-

(II) The following daily maintenance to be carried out :- (a) Bar screen chamber should be cleaned every day to ensure that it’s not choked. (b) Cleaning of Oil & Grease trap. (c) Once in every two hours pumps should be changed between working and standby i.e, Sewage feed pump, blower and Filter feed pump. (d) Maintain disinfection liquid in chlorine dozing tank. (e) MGF and AGF back wash & rinse – Once in every 8 hours simultaneously. (f) Settling tank – Sludge should be disposed from settling tank to sludge drying bed. Once every 8 hours based on MLSS growth. (g) Monitoring and maintenance of log books periodically. (h) Treated water tank – chlorine content should be analysed to ensure that chlorine % is below 0.2 ppm. (j) MLSS growth – to be checked in aeration tank and equalization .

(III) The following weekly maintenance to be carried out :- A NGP ETP system is inspected weekly and the following points attended to :- i) Inspect Equalisation Tank/ Entry to system for blockages, plastics etc and remove. ii) Inspect Aerator and note biomass growth, recirculation and any malodour. iii) Inspect Secondary clarifier (Humus, Tank) and note visual appearance of final effluent and absence (or otherwise) of sludge build up. iv) Check the outlet of the system for blockage etc. v) Check grease trap empty and if required top up with clean cold water. vi) Grease the bearings

(IV) The following monthly maintenance to be carried out :- Refer the following below mentioned instructions for weekly maintenance schedule. i) Check motor for overheating (by touch) and remove dust etc. from air fins. ii) Grease all bearings through nipples. iii) Grease all chain couplings through casing nipples. iv) Check oil level in gearbox and top up if necessary. v) Check sludge return system from Humus Tank for function. vi) Apply light lubricating oil in small quantities to locks and hinges. vii) Empty and clean out grease trap and fill with clean cold water

(V) The following items for routine maintenance shall be provided in plant :- (a) Liquid chlorine - 25 ltrs per month (b) Urea - 20 kg per month (c) DAB - 12 kg per month (d) Bio culture - 6 kg per month (e) Cow dung - 10 kg per month (f) Deforming chemical - 2.5 ltr per month (g) INDI foam 3000 - 4 ltr per month (h) Sercon 203 - 2.5 ltr per month

(VI) The following items shall be replaced as and when required or as directed by the Engr-in-Charge :- (a) Gaskets, Gland Packing. (b) O rings. (c) Drive belts for air blower and clarifier. (d) Minor electrical accessories viz Indication lamps, fuses etc. (e) Blades (f) Pasting materials (g) Consumables like gloves, safety jackets, helmets, respirators etc (h) Cleaning Chemicals, reagents, Lubricants etc.

The existing ETP plant is MBBR type and Original Equipment Manufacture is M/s V A Exergy Technologies Pvt Ltd.

(b) For technical support in comprehensive maintenance of ETP, the contractor shall enter into MOU with the OEMs. No additional payment on this account shall be made to the contractor by the department.

(c) The comprehensive maintenance of ETP plant of MBBR will be carried out through the OEM's personnel under the supervision of contractor and the Engineer-in-Charge. The OEM shall be responsible for all technical support for comprehensive maintenance and shall also be responsible for performance of the plant in terms of outlet parameters mentioned here-in-before.

(d) OEM or their authorised service centre shall employ technician having sound knowledge in ETP Plant to operate the plant, carryout water analysis checks through approved Laboratory and monitor the performance of the plant on a regular basis, interpret the results and suggest remedial measures in case of major deviations and one person for daily maintenance and cleaning of the plant.

(e) Visits of service Engineer of OEM at least once in every month and during break down or when urgently required for the Inspection, servicing repair, rectification of problem and submission of report.

(f) The maintenance supervisor shall be fully responsible for maintaining the ETP in operational condition in consultation with the Engineer-in-Charge.

(g) The cost of supply and replacement of worn out/ defective equipments, each and every type of repair, renewals, regular servicing for efficient and smooth functioning of ETP and connected equipment/ items shall be deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates of BOQ.

(h) Repair/ replacement of any equipment/ machinery or part thereof provided under this contract shall be got done only from the manufacturer's authorised dealer/ OEM.

(j) The contractor has to provide all consumable spares, oil & lubricants for greasing of various equipments, chemicals, consumables for electrical and mechanical plant & machinery.

(k) One month's consumables and required spares shall always be kept at site in advance.

(l) Major repairs/ overhauling etc. shall be notified to the GE immediately on occurrence. The cost of each part/ equipment replaced shall be deemed to be included in the unit rates quoted by the contractor. The rates quoted in BOQ shall be deemed to be included for all materials and labour reqd for comprehensive maintenance including repair/ replacement of all the component equipment for keeping the ETP in operational condition.

(m) The entire treated water will be reutilised for arboriculture purpose. The quality of treated water shall meet all the criteria given here in before.

(n) The contractor shall carry out various tests on treated effluent as per frequency mentioned here-in-before and record the same in registers. The tests shall be carried out from any Govt approved laboratories. Contractor shall also be at liberty to establish his own laboratories at site for same after prior approval of GE, however, GE can ask the contractor to get independent tests from any Govt lab/ Govt Engineering colleges/NABL lab.

(o) The Installation shall be frequently visited by the MES/ Air Force officers. It shall be contractor responsibility for proper upkeep of the area in a presentable state all the time. Surrounding area upto the fencing/ boundary of ETP shall be kept clean and cleared of bushes/ shrubs and grass all the time to give a neat and clean appearance of the area.

p) Repair to system in case of break down (due to normal wear & tear) shall be rectified by the contractor within 24 hrs. In case of failure noticed more than 24 hrs, recovery shall be effected @ Rs. 500/- per hour beyond 24 hrs.

(q) Disposal of all sludge at suitable frequency outside the defence land. Contractor is deemed to have identify the area suitable for disposal for sludge. The cost of disposal of all sludge shall deemed to have been included in the unit quoted rates.

Supply, installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free chemical earthing system comprising of 17mm dia copper bonded rod 3 mtr long horizontally pre welded T-terminal rod with provision for connection size of 50 x 150mm long, 6mm thickness with equal space either side, with 12mm dia hole of 02 numbers each on either side of the terminal clamp with 250 microns (average) coating thickness, tested and certified by CPRI India alongwith 50 Kg earth energizer compound and 10 litres earth resistance reducing liquid. The earthing energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be tested as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTM G57-06, CI 3.4 A by any NABL accredited lab. The above mentioned rod shall be installed in 4-6 inch bore, 12 feet depth with a distance of minimum 3 meters between each installation including taking down existing one, complete all as specified and directed.. The quoted rate shall also deemed to be included the following :- (i) Prior to installation of maintenance free chemical earthing, soil resistivity test to be carried out at the location where earthing work to be done in presence of Engr-in- Charge/JE (E/M),user and the report has to submit to Garrison Engineer with recommendation of manufacturer, if required additional interconnection of earthing (not more than 08 number of earthing) to achive earth result less then 1 Ohms. The arrangement done for soil resistivity testing and submission of report with recommendation deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(ii) The description/ size/ qty of items mentioned in above are for indicating only however qty/ size may vary at site condition to maintain the earth resistance 1 ohm. The contractor shall quote rate by considering all factors.

(iii) Rate of earth energizer compound of 25 Kg of 02 bags and earth resistance reducing liquid 10 litre per cane for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

(iv) Resistivity of earth energizer compound and resistance reducing earthing liquid shall be certified by any NABL accredited lab carried out as per IEC-62561-7 read with ASTMG57-06, CI-3.4A and the certificate of same shall be submitted by the contractor along with the sample approval

(v) Earth enhancing material should not leach into the adjacent soil or underground water channels and its PH value should be in neutral range complete all as specified and as directed. It should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete.

(vi) Copper strip of size 20 x 3 mm shall be fixed on proper post insulator at the instrument end (copper strip upto 7.5 RM shall be considered in unit quoted rate and extra will be measured and paid separately).

(vii) Testing of earth shall be carried out in presence of departmental and user representative and report shall be submitted to Garrison Engineer duly signed by all concerned.

(viii) Earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor. Tester should be calibrated from authorised company/ lab.

(ix) Earthing shall be tested after completion of work by the contractor in presence of Engr-in-charge, user and proper record shall be maintained duly signed by all concerned. After testing if the desired earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm is not obtained, the earthing will be redone at no extra cost to Govt. till desired result is obtained.

(x) The contractor shall give a written guarantee of minimum three years for maintaining the earth resistance less than 1 Ohm after certified date of completion.

(xi) No further maintenance or periodic watering or recharge shall be required in earthing during its guarantee period of over 03 years in all type of soil including soft/ disintegrated or hard rock.

(xii) During the guarantee period, if earth resistance is not maintained less than 1 ohm the contractor has to redo or rectify at no extra cost to Govt till desired result is maintained.

(xiii) A security deposit of value equal to 2.5 % of the rate quoted for chemical earthing for each earthing shall be retained from payment due to the contractor from final bill for the guarantee period.

(xiv) The electrode shall carry manufacturer's name .

(xv) The connection clamp shall be permanentlly welded to the copper bounded rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss,.The pre-welded copper bounded rod shall not need any additional clamp for termination.

(xvi) The acceptable earth resistance at earth busbar/ test point shall not be more than 0.1 ohm.

(xvii) Earth work such as auguring and making good the surrounding area shall carried out in any type of soil.

(xviii) The contractor shall submit CPRI India certified document for copper bounded rod to ensure genuineness of material.

(xix) Sign board of mild steel sheet 2 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide Zinc chrome primer showing result of earthing shall be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed by engr -in- charge.

Material and labour for Earth pit cover made of heavy duty poly plastic of high grade polypropylene tested and certified by any NABL accredited lab for load bearing capacity not less than 7.2 tonnes with top dia not less than 250mm, bottom dia not less than 330 mm and height not less than 260 mm for each electrode pit complete including taking down old one complete all as specified and directed. Make : Model SEPC 250 of SAFE TRODE or equivalent in Snaga/ Cubes 6 Global

S&F in repair copper strip 20 x 3mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc including taking down existing old unserviceable copper strip etc, complete all as specified and directed. Note : - All Joints should be joined by Exothermic Welding or Brazing.

The enclosures made of polycarbonate, should be weather/vermin proof, anti -acid, anti-corrossive, UV resistance in accordance with IEC 61439-1, fire retardant and self extingushing in accordance with IEC 60695-2-11, UL subject 94 for flammability V-0, should pass glow wire test for 960 degree in accoardance with 60695-2-11.Degree of protection against mechanical load should be IK08 (5 Joule) in accordance with IEC 62262,IP65 in accordance with IEC-60529 and IEC- 60439-1, should have dielectric properties, RoHS compliants & Halogen free. The manufacturer of boards/panels shall submit a copy of type test reports as per above mentioned norms either from UL/ERDA/CPRI/NABL labs in india.The panel should be modular and compartmentalized in construction with opaque and transparent doors, properly tightened to base with thermoplastic screws having sealing gaskets of extruded silicon rubber to withstand adverse weather effects.
