M&L for repairs to pot holes, depth not exceeding 30mm deep and area not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water , scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal (including supply of road metal) rolling and well ramming surface of road complete all as specified and as directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled exc 50mm deep but n exc 100 mm depth in macadam or bituminous macadam surface in area n exc 400 Sqm complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Rate quoted by contractor shall be deemed to incl for removal of rubble/ debris out MoD land.

M&L 75 mm thick or less consolidated thickness Premixed Bituminous macadam of grade VG-30 penetration and using 12 to 25 mm graded crushed preheated stone aggregate, laid with the help of mechanical paver and rolled compacted to required gradient and camber with VIBRATORY ROLLER COMPACTOR of 8-12 tonne using 4% binders by weight to mix to make good depression/ pot holes complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- (a) The job design formula shall be got down from The mix design tests shall be carried out only in SEMT wing/Govt approved lab/National test House/Engineering College as approved by the GE before commencement of work. (b) As a result of job mix formula, if quantity of binder content works out to be more than 4% than no extra payment shall be made to the contractor and in case its quantity works out be less than 4% than minimum binder content of 4% givne herein above shall be provided. (c) The Job design shall be got down from approved lab and shall be approved by GE before commencement of work.

M&L for preparing unsurfaced water bound macadam by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with compressed air to remove all loose dirt etc incl draining draining off water if any from pot holes and applying evenly priming tack coat with Bitumen Primer using paving bitumen of VG-10 @ 10 kg per 10 sqm with mechanical sprayer etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparing black top surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with mechanical air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc incl draing off water if any from pot holes and applying evenly priming tack coat with Bitumen Primer using paving bitumen of VG-10 @ 5 kg per 10 sqm complete all as specified and as directed .

M&L 30 mm thick consolidated thickness Bituminous Premixed semi dense ashphaltic concrete using combined graded aggregate ie crushed stone coarse aggregate, fine aggregate (sand) and fille (inherent filer/OPC 43 grade) of physical properties as specified and as per table given (refer SSR Part-I 2009), preheated mixed with 5.0% binder (VG-30) content by weight of total mix, laid and spread means of self propelling mechanical spreader/paver, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with VIBRATORY ROLLER COMPACTOR 8-12 tonn complete all as specified and as directed. Semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be laid in single layer with self propelled paver machine. The vintage of sensor paver shall not be more than 05 years. (e) Thickness of Semi dense Asphaltic concrete and quantities of materials as mentioned in Particular specicifications/SSR are the minimum. The quoted rate shall also be ddemed to include for provision of more materials in comparison to those mentioned/specified i the item, if required to acheive the required level, gradient, camber and shape all as directed by the GE.

M&L for applying 2 mm thick road marking paint with reflective thermoplastic fluorecent paint colour white or golden yellow or nay shade confirming to BS-3262(1986) with 20% glass beads (inter mixed) applied hot with automatic (commercial) machine drive in strips after preparation of surface as per Manufacturer's instructions & according to the specifications laid down by IRC & MOST (MInistry of Surface Transport) specification 2001 (4th revision), making lines, brocken lines/dashes, arrow etc on roads and other like surface exceeding 10cm but not exc 30 cm in width or girth complete all as specified and directed
