SPECIAL REPAIR OF ROAD IN CERTAIN LOCATION 53 ENGR REGT UNDER GE NASIRABAD

M&L for scarifying or picking graveled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces area not exc 400 sqm and exc 50mm and n nexc 100 mm deep, complete all as specified and directed

Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good but making good by applying tack coat with bituminous primer @ 5 kg per 10 sq m, putting in premix as specified for thin bituminous carpet (2 cm thick) well rammed and sealed with premixed sand seal coat (6.8 kg of binder with 0.06 cu m of sand), again well rammed (including supply of premix binder and sand) depth of potholes in exc 30 mm, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparing old road surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bages to remove all loose dirt etc, complete all as spd and directed.

M&L, 75 mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM in one layers with coarse agg of broken metal of lime stone and sand stone of grading 3 (50mm to 20mm size) spread, rolled with 8 to 12 tonne roller and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed

M & L for preparing surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, swe-eping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc, Unsurfaced Water bound macadam, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for applying evenly a primer / tack coat with bituminous primer at 10 kg per 10 Sqm, using paving bitumen (VG-10), complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Premix bituminous macadam (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with VG-30 grade paving bitumen (4% by weight of total mix) to meet the desired requirement as mentioned in Particular Specification, mixing bituminous concrete in computerized hot mixing plant, laying and spreading uniformly by means of mechanical paver and rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber by 8 to 12 tonne vibratory road roller complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Bituminous macadam shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined as per IRC 27:2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced @ Rs. 46.49 per Kg.

M&L for preparing old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bages to remove all loose dirt etc, complete all as spd and directed.

M&L for applying evenly a primer / tack coat with bituminous primer at 5 kg per 10 Sqm, using paving bitumen, (VG-10), complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Bituminous premix semi dense asphatic concrete 30 mm consolidated thickness with 5.50% binder (paving bitumen VG-30) by weight of total mix, mixed in computrized hot mix plant, laid, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with the help of mechanical paver and power roller 8 to 12 ton capacity complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined following the Marshal Mix Design procedure contained in the Asphalt Manual MS-2 (Sixth edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC-111:2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced @ Rs. 75.30 per Kg.
