| 3.01 | Submission of design, drawing and supply of all material, labour T&P etc. to construction of as per tenderer's own seismic proof design and drawings (approved by the department) complete intz type R.C.C. Over Head Tank with following capacity and staging on raft or pile or pile cum raft foundation with columns and braces of staging from made up ground level at site to the top of bottom ring beam of tank, with a minimum free board of 15cm. The design of the tank shall be based on safe bearing capacity of soil at site i.e. 8.0 T/m2 (datum) and depth of foundation as 2.50m (datum) from existing ground level on pile/raft foundation. Made up level of OHT will be taken as 0.60 m above existing gound level. Extra earth for filling of made up level will be arranged by the contractor at his own cost. The height of staging will be considered from the made up ground level to the ring beam (Top Face) of bottom dom. B.C. above given is tentative, contractor will have to test the B.C. and design of O.H.T. will be on actual B.C. found. All other details of tank not covered here shall also be as per specifications enclosed. The specifications for O.H.T. will be as follows :- | - | - | - | - |
| 3.02 | The successful bidder will be required to investigate the soil bearing capacity. If net safe allowable bearing capacity is found to be equivalent or more than 8 t/m2, the design of OHT will be based on 8 t/m2 capacity. However, in case the net safe allowable bearing capacity is found to be below 8 t/m2, then the design of OHT will be based on the actual bearing capacity.
The contractor has to accommodate for the additional cost required, in the eventuality of net safe allowable bearing capacity falling below 8 t/m2. | - | - | - | - |
