Excavation and Soling

Earth work excavation by manual / mechanical means(hydraulic excavator) in all type of soil in foundation for all depth, trenches etc. including shoring, shrutting wherever required bailing/pumping of water, leveling the bottom of excavation and disposing the surplus materials at places as directed within a lead of 3 Kms all as per drawings and specifications. Note: Dewatering will be paid in the relevent item.

Earth work excavation in all types of rocks (Highly weathered, Moderately weathered and Hard rock) for all depths and lifts by all mechanical means (Blasting prohibited) or hydraulic excavator in foundation, trenches , area grading , levelling and wherever required etc. including shoring, shrutting wherever required bailing/pumping of water, leveling the bottom of excavation and disposing the surplus materials at places as directed within a lead of 3 Kms all as per drawings and specifications. Note: Dewatering will be paid in the relevent item.

Providing and laying rubble soling/Pitching to a consolidated thickness of 150 mm, using 150mm thick random rubble spotless stone, murram (gravel) hand packed, well rammed and consolidated including watering, complying with specifications and drawings complete.

Filling and consolidating in layers not more than 300 mm thick to required slopes and grades as per drawing with available excavated soil /within the lead up to 3kms (including excavation soil as directed) to the specified areas, watering, consolidation with 10T power roller to achieve 95% Proctor density of the filled area etc all complete as directed by the Engineer. Note:The proctor density test shall be conducted in each layer for every 200 SqM.

Supplying and placing in-situ Screed & PCC of all grades and with aggregates of various type and grading, high range retarding water reducing admixture Type G -ASTM C-494 produced and transportation to site, pouring by manual and mechanical meansin various structures at all elevations and locations , providing chutes wherever required , scaffolding compacting, finishing, making grooves, providing openings/cut-outs, construction joints, green cutting, curing including all material, labour, tools / tackles, preparation of pour cards, maintaining records, preparation of post pour inspection report subsequent to deshuttering etc complete as per drawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer. Rate to include all tests to be conducted on materials, green and hardened concrete as per the approved QAP. Any upward or downward cement content to achieve the required design mix ,the variation in cement quantity shall be paid under relevant item.

Providing, Supplying and laying PCC of M20, W6 grade with maximum size of hard stone aggregate not exceeding 20 mm with a cement content 250 kg/Cum (Formwork will be paid in respective item separately).

Providing, Supplying and laying screed of M25, for required thickness of W6 grade with maximum size of hard stone aggregate not exceeding 6mm with a cement content up to 300 kg/Cum, including transportation to pouring point at all location and all elevation.( Formwork will be paid in respective item separately).

Providing and laying In -Situ RCC of M35,W8 Gade on left out part of existing building with maximum size of aggregate not exceeding 20mm and cement content of 350kg/Cum using 20mm and down graded stone aggregates, admixtures including Mixing ,Ramming, Compaction, leveling, curing, placing at all lifts, including scaffolding transportation to pouring point by manual means upto 10mtrelevation including curing cleaning of surrounding area and Finishing smooth all exposed faces complete as per specification.( Formwork and Reinforcement will be paid in respective item separately).

Providing and laying In -Situ RCC of M35,W8 Gade on left out part of existing building with maximum size of aggregate not exceeding 20mm and cement content of 350kg/Cum using 20mm and down graded stone aggregates, admixtures including Mixing, Compaction, leveling, curing, placing at all lifts, including scaffolding transportation to pouring point by manual means from10mtr to 20mtr elevation including curing cleaning of surrounding area and Finishing smooth all exposed faces complete as per specification. ( Formwork and Reinforcement will be paid in respective item separately).

Providing and laying In -Situ RCC of M35,W8 Gade on left out part of existing building with maximum size of aggregate not exceeding 20mm and cement content of 350kg/Cum using 20mm and down graded stone aggregates, admixtures including Mixing, Compaction, leveling, curing, placing at all lifts, including scaffolding transportation to pouring point by manual means for 20mtr and above elevation including curing cleaning of surrounding area and Finishing smooth all exposed faces complete as per specification. ( Formwork and Reinforcement will be paid in respective item separately).

Supplying and placing precast RCC members weighing up to 2MT made upto M35, W6 Grade with maximum size of aggregates not exceeding 20mm and cement content of 350kg per cum including all formwork,transporting to site,placing , and as per working document at all locations and elevations complete.( The rate will be paid in stages for casting 60% and 40% for erection.The Reinforcement will be paid under relevant item)

Providing cutting ,bending, placing and tying mild steel, high yield steel reinforcement of all diameter of Grade Fe 500D confirming to IS: 1786 in RCC works of new structures and left out portions of existing structures including providing cover blocks, binding wires etc.complete at all elevations as per drawings and specifications.

Providing and constructing cement concrete block masonry of M15 grade, using solid blocks of specified size, in cement mortar 1:4 by volume at all elevation and locations including scaffolding, racking out joints, curing etc complete as per specification , drawing and as directed by Engineer.

Providing and constructing 200mm thick cement concrete block masonry of M15 grade, using solid blocks , in cement mortar 1:4 by volume for closing of leftout openings of existing buildings / partitions at all elevation and locations including scaffolding, racking out joints, curing etc complete as per specification , drawing and directed by Engineer.

cement sand mortar M50 grade : Providing and laying Cement-sand mortar M50 grade for protection of the vertical waterproofing membrane and in other specified areas, including all manpower, equipment, scaffolding, materials, curing, tools, tackles and all consumables etc. complete all as per drawings, specifications and as directed by NPCIL.

Supply and application of two coats of ACRYLIC WATER EMULSION PAINT of approved make and shade to interior walls, columns, beams and ceiling at all elevations preparation of the surface to be painted by filling of tie rod holes with CM 1:3 and filling air holes on the concrete surfaces with CM 1:1.5 , making good of irregularities more than 3mm using grinders/corborandum stones etc complete and applying suitable priming coat, putty, and even application of 2 coats of paint . Rates shall include all labour, tools, tackles, consumables, scaffolding & staging etc. complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer.

Supply and application of Epoxy paint of approved make and shade colour of total dry film thickness 260 microns in multiple coats to interior walls , columns, beams and ceiling at all elevations, preparation of the surface to be painted by filling of tie rod holes with CM 1:3 and filling air holes on the concrete surfaces with CM 1:1.5 , making good of irregularities more than 3mm using grinders/corborandum stones, complete and applying suitable priming coat, putty and even application of paint with airless spray or brush till the required DFT is achieved. Rates shall include cost of all labour, tools, tackles, consumables, scaffolding & staging etc. complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer.

Supply and application of epoxy paint of approved make and as per technical specifications in multiple coat with zinc silicate primer (min 85% Zinc content) of 40-80 micron to a total coat thickness total 260 microns DFT to structural steel girder and platforms including preparation of surface to be painted by grid blasting , cleaning, necessary equipment, labour, scaffolding, tools , tackles etc . complete as per specification and as directed by the Engineer.

Supply and applying nuclear grade self levelling epoxy paint of approved make and shade over concrete floors for the dryflim thickness of 2mm over a coat of primer , base preparation , filling the undulation with suitable filler material to make uniform finish, mixing filler sand as per manufacturers specification all related materials, equipment, labour, tools & tackles, all consumables , etc complete as per drawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer .

Supply and applying self levelling epoxy paint of approved make and shade over concrete floors for the dryflim thickness of 1mm over a coat of primer , base preparation , filling the undulation with suitable filler material to make uniform finish, mixing filler sand as per manufacturers specification all related materials, equipment, labour, tools & tackles, all consumables , etc complete as per drawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer .

Supply and application of two coats of high performance aliphatic acrylate based protective coating of approved make and as per technical specifications over a coat of compatible primer to external / internal surface of concrete, plastered surface, walls , columns, beams and ceiling at all elevations, preparation of the surface to be painted by filling of tie rod holes and filling air holes with CM 1:3 and filling air holes on the concrete surfaces with CM 1:1.5 , making good of irregularities more than 3mm using grinders/corborandum stones, complete and applying putty and even application of paint with roller or brush . Rates shall include cost of all labour, tools, tackles, consumables, scaffolding & staging etc. complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer.

Providing and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint of approved make & colour and as per technical specifications on wood / steel work, including preparing the surface by scarping, rubbing applying filler etc., including cost of filler, all complete as per specifications and as per drawings and specifications

Supplying and applying 2 pack self leveling epoxy paint (Nuclear grade) of 500 micron thick with primer EPIREX 160A over concrete floors including base preparation by grinding , cleaning, leveling application of primer as per specifications inclusive of all equipment, labour, tools and tackles, etc complete.

Providing and laying 2mm thick vinyl flooring of approved make as per technical specifications, colour pattern and designs for flooring, skirting laid on existing flooring/ skirting with suitable adhesive as per drawings and manufacturers specifications

Providing and laying crushed stone aggregate bed of 60mm thick (compacted thickness) for preparation of base to lay interlocking precast concrete paver blocks using 12 mm down graded stone aggregate including, leveling, placing, to the required slope, compacting with roller etc as per drawings and specifications. (Payment shall be made only for compacted thickness)

Providing and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint of approved colour and make as per technical specifications on Concrete surface including preparing the surface by scarping, rubbing applying filler etc., including cost of filler, all complete as per specifications and as per drawings and specifications

Supply and laying 2 layers of 4.5mm thick SBS Modified Elastomeric bitumen based waterproofing membrane of approved make weighing minimum 4.5Kg/Sqm with materials, equipment, labour, tools & tackles, all consumables , base preparation by application of primer as per manufacturer's recommendation etc complete as per drawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer. The lower layer shall be thermo fusible PE finish on both sides and the upper layer shall be granular finish on upper side and thermo fusible PE finish on the other side . The minimum overlap of the joints shall be 150mm. The surface area covered by the waterproofing membrane shall be measured for payment.

Providing and grouting approved high strength cementations ready mix non-shrink grout of compressive strength 6 Kg/sqcm of approved make and as per technical specifications below equipment base plate, bearing plates, penetrations, embedded parts at all elevation and locations as per specification and as directed by the Engineer.

Supply and applying low viscosity expansive aqua-reactive water barrier and grouting system of approved make and as per technical specifications designed specially for arresting leakages for the underground structures , tunnels etc including drilling & fixing nozzle, dry packing , grouting, all related materials, equipment, labour, tools & tackles, scaffolding, all consumables etc complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer - In - charge. ( The actual quantity of grouting material consumed will be measured for payment )

Supply and fixing High density expanded polystyrene board of density not less than 30 kg/ cum covered with 2 layers of 0.4 mm thick polyethylene sheets of approved make properly secured in position using approved adhesives/masking tapes including tools and tackles required to carry out the work at expansion joints at all elevation and locations as per drawing and specification.

Dismantling the removable crane pad concrete blocks (panels of max size 5.2m x 5M and thickness of 350mm and 750mm) by cutting the reinforcement bars provided between the concrete blocks, lifting and shifting to specified area up to lead of 3km.

Cleaning of all the floors, circulating spaces, walls, ceiling by means of sweeping and removal of debris with all necessary cleaning aids like brooms, duster, buckets, collecting trays or any other appliances as required and as directed from time to time for the satisfactory execution of above mentioned work and disposal of debris, wastes dust etc. by any manual/ machinery means as directed with in a lead of 500mts distance. Buildings are inclusive of stair case & landings, Head Room etc. Note :- Floor area alone will be measured for payment.

Mopping of the floors using commercial scented phenol of approved make and as per technical specifications mixed in Water including providing necessary labour and materials and all cleaning aids for the satisfactory execution of the item.

UNSKILLED man power (helper) carrying out the given work ( Assisting fabrication, erection, modification, handling of material, shifting of material, assisting office activities ) as per the instructions given by NPCIL. Full filling the requirements for 8 Hrs a day is considered as one operation.

SEMI SKILLED man power (Rigger/kalasi) carrying out the given work (Assisting fabrication, erection, modification, handling of material, shifting of material, assisting the office activities) as per the instructions given by NPCIL. Supply and providing RE 500 chemical grout for anchorage of rebar and Embedded part legs in existing concrete up to 28 mm dia.

Providing Double Scaffolding (width up to 1.20m) for a height upto 5 m for buildings alongwith access ladder for repair works/any other type of works, using MS H-Frames, MS pipes, clamps etc as per requirement including required labour, tools and removing the same after completion of works etc complete as per drawings and specifications. (Area in elevation shall be measured for payment)

For M.S. / C.S. tubular penetrations using Hot -finished seamless (HFS) heavy grade Pipes as per IS:1239 / IS:1161 of various sizes & grade up to 150 NB dia of suitable size, shape and openings, fixing on Structural Steel platforms with or without flange plate and stiffeners.

For M.S. / C.S. tubular penetrations using Hot -finished seamless (HFS) heavy grade Pipes as per IS:1161/ IS: 3589 of various sizes above 150mm & up to 400mm dia of suitable size and shape with or without flange and stiffeners .

Supply, transportation, storage, fabrication, erection of stainless steel liners for floors and walls of 3mm ,5mm , 8mm thk confiming to ASTM A 240 Type 321 / equivalent to Russian grade 08X 18H 10T including plant & equipment, cleaning, cutting, bending, forming, edge preparation, grinding, making SS backing strip, welding using GTAW process with high purity argon gas with all other consumables (combination welding both SS to SS & SS to CS), inspection, and all other consumables, providing necessary scaffolding, platforms etc. at all levels as per specifications and drawings as directed by the Engineer complete and protecting the entire lined surface with suitable peel off coat after completing all the required NDT tests . The item also inclusive of preparation of detailed drawings, procedures etc., Note: (1) Supply, fabrication and erection of 50mm width backing strip required for SS Floor Liner work will be measured in this item. (2) the rates quoted shall exclude carrying out NDTs as per WD and application of Peel off Coat which will be measured and paid in relevant items.

Providing and applying external plaster in cement mortar 1:4, 20mm thick in two layers for walls, columns, beams, etc. at all elevations and locations including hacking of concrete surface, scaffolding, providing grooves, bands, copings, mouldings ,finishing, curing, etc. complete all as per specifications and as directed.

Providing Hot-dipped galvanized coating of 70 - 85 micron minimum for the fabricated Carbon Steel Gratings, clamps, hand rails of external metal structure platforms of different sizes or shapes as per the drawings and specifications including preparation of procedures, obtaining necessary approval for the same and submission of reports as directed by the Engineer -in-charge. Note: The rates quoted shall include the cost of de-galvanization of the structure at site if required for any hot work like cutting, welding and restoration of the coating after completion of all the erection work at site complete.

Dewatering outside or within excavated pits of main plant buildings/structures, deploying required dewatering pumps and flexible hose pipes including standby and skilled manpower, shifting & placing wherever required, deploying additional equipments to cater the urgent needs, providing and erection of support structures where ever necessary, installation of pumps and flexible hose pipes, setting it to work, commissioning, running and maintaining, maintaining day to day record in log book, dismantling and taking back on completion of dewatering requirement etc, complete.

Hire charges including repair and maintenance for the dewatering pumps fitted with energy meter including suction hose, foot valve and flexible delivery hose pipe laid up to discharge channel/drain, etc.complete. Note: The unit of Measurement is HP-days i.e. the HP of the pumps the no of days of deployment. (One day means 8hours)

Operational cost of the dewatering pumps based on energy consumption. Note: The payment shall be made based on energy meter reading of the pump.

Additional efforts for Closing the mount openings left in slab/ wall (for erection of equipment) for shifting of material like reinforcement ,scaffolding,EP's,formwork,concrete etc by manual means and by placing RCC M35, W6 grade at temperature not exceeding 27°C with maximum size of aggregate not exceeding 20mm with cement content 350 kg/Cum including supply of necesaary manpower , scaffolding ,shifting ,placing at different elevations at Main Plant buildings . ( Formwork,concrete and Reinforcement will be paid in respective item separately). size of opening will be considered for payment.

Supply, transportion to site, storage of Carbon Steel / M.S. members like ISMB, ISMC, ISNT, ISA, Plate/ Sheet, Chequered plate, heavy grade Hot finished seamless pipes , etc of Russian steel of grade C-235 and C-245 as per relevant GOST Standard / Indian equivalent confirming technical specification, preparation of detailed fabrication & erection drawings, work procedure, fabrication such as cutting, rolling, bending, grinding, drilling , machining, welding, making built up sections,surface preparation by grit blasting, supply and application of Inorganic Zinc Silicate Primer(85% Zinc Content) approved brand and shade as per technical specifications minimum dry film thickness of 75 microns, handling , transporting to site and erection in position with necessary stiffeners, gussets, base plates,torque tightening of the erected structural bolts, welding of anchor bars including all consumables, necessary scaffoldings / temporary platforms, preparation of reports etc complete, as per specification and as directed by Engineer . (Note: Anchor rebars supply shall be measured and paid separately under relevent BOQ item. )

Providing squre /circular shape handrails of M.S Yst 310 grade of various size thickness as per IS 4923 & IS 1161.

Testing Of Structural Steel Members by Approved external Lab (Chemical Analysis (Fe), Tensile Test, Tensile Machining, Bend Test, Bend Machining, Charpy impact Test (BS) and Impact Machining and any other test.

Providing and fixing full/half height 95 ± 5mm thickness double skin wall partition of approved pattern , size using 12mm thick calcium silicate board of approved make as per technical specifications with staggered joint using approved GI metal framing system of flanges as per drawing including providing the arrangement for cable management finishing the joints with approved special compound to have a seamless finish etc., complete all as per manufactures specification, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in charge.

Providing and fixing suspended ceiling of approved size ,design/pattern using 15mm thick mineral fibre board of square edge type of approved make as per technical specifications includes providing, fixing GI perimeter channels fixed to the masonry/concrete/partition with the help of rawl plug screws, suspending GI intermediate channels with GI adjustable hangers with fixing arrangement to soffit with GI cleat and steel expansion fasteners including ceiling sections having knurled wedge and flange system, connecting clips at suitable spacing including making necessary openings and cuttings for AC diffusers, fire alarm system, lighting and for other systems etc., making additional supporting system for this opening areas and tapering, finishing the square edge all as per drawings, manufactures specifications and as directed by the Engineer in charge.
