After plastering the sunken surface, sunken portion to be filled with water and tested for 72 hrs (after required peirod of curing) to observe leakage/seepages, leakge/seapage if any shall be arrested by pressure grouting and re-tested till leakages/seapages completely stopped. after ponding test, the surface shall be dried and bottom and sides of the sunken slab shall be treated, priming the plastered surface with bituminous primer conforming to IS-3384 @ 0.3 kg per Sqm and applying a tack coat of industrial butiumen 85/25 @ 1.2 kg per Sqm over which applying using glass fibre base bituminous felt type II and grade 2 (conforming to IS-7193 1994) and applying one coat of hot blown bitumen of grade 85/25 @ 1.2 kg per Sqm including 450mm long 25mm dia medium grade GI pipe shall be provided at the lowest portion Spout pipe should be 200mm from the external face of wall for draining out water in case of leakage.
