Pre-Engineered Building

Design, Engineering, Supply, fabrication, transporting, assembling & erecting in place, the Pre-designed, Pre-Engineered Prefabricated Structure including all columns, rafters, purlins, portals, trusses, beams, plates, sag rods, canopy etc., with all primary & secondary structural members, etc complete for PEB shed having dimension of 16m x 30m and canopies as per drawing. All fasteners to be used for fitting the roof and holding surface should be of non rusting coated. This item also includes Design, Preparation and submission of design details, detailed fabrication drawings for Pre Engineered Building. The design and drawings to be provided as per the IS norms in applicable zone and shall be submitted to KPL for their approval. The job also includes providing monkey ladder in approved design, section thickness for safe access to roof. Primary members shall be of High grade steel plate fabricated from plate shall have flanges and webs joined on one side of the web by a continuous welding process and shall conform to the physical specification of ASTM A 570 (Grade – 50)/ASTM A 572 or equivalent and having a minimum yield strength of 345 MPa (50KSI). Secondary members shall be of High grade steel plate conforming to the physical specification of ASTM A or equivalent having minimum yield strength of 345 MPa (50000 PSI). All members shall be galvanized to 120 GSM. Secondary members shall include the purlins, grits, eave struts, wind bracing, flange bracing, base angles, clips and other miscellaneous parts. Rod and Angle shall conform to the physical specification of ASTM A 36 or equivalent and having minimum yield strength of 250 MPa (36000 PSI). All field connections shall be bolted (Unless otherwise specified). Primary bolted connections shall be furnished with high strength bolts conforming to the physical specifications of ASTM A 325 (or equivalent). Secondary bolted connections shall be furnished with machine bolts conforming to the physical specifications of ASTM A 307 (or equivalent). Roof cladding sheets shall conform to the physical specification of ASTM A 792 – 150 (150g/m2) or its equivalent and having minimum yield strength of 550 MPa (50000 PSI) Gutters and downspouts shall confirm to the physical specification of ASTM A 792 – 150 (150 g/m2) or its equivalent and having minimum yield strength of 550 MPa. All hot rolled sections shall conform to the physical specifications of ASTM A 36 or equivalent having minimum yield strength of 250 MPa (36KSI). All other miscellaneous members shall have minimum yield strength of 350 MPa (36000 PSI). All cold formed steel members shall have a minimum yield strength of 345 MPa (50000 PSI) and shall conform to the physical specifications of ASTM 572 (Grade – 50) or ASTM A –653 (Grade – 50) or equivalent. Only connection/ fittings shall be permitted at site as directed by KPL. The rate includes welding weights, site connection, nut & bolts, required dia anchor / foundation bolts with templates as per structure design. The PEB structural members should be grouted for the size of the Base plate to a average thickness of 30mm to the pile cap and as directed at site by KPL. All structure to be painted with approved painting scheme as given below. Rates are inclusive of painting. a) Surface preparation by shot blasting conforming to SA 2.5 (to be done at shop) b) Prime coat of Epoxy Based Zinc Ethyle Silicate Primer (min. 60% vol. solids), one coat of 75 - 80 micron DFT. (to be done at shop) c) Intermediate coat of TWO PACK EPOXY HIGH BUILD MIO COATING (min. 60% vol. solids). one coat of 100 -125 micron DFT (to be done at shop after touch up primer on welded surfaces). d) Final coats of TWO PACK ALIPHATIC ACRYLIC POLYURETHANE (min. 52% vol. solids), Two coats of combined 60 -70 micron DFT (to be done at field/Shop). Total DFT shall be min. 225 micron. Painting shall be done strictly as per the instruction of KPL. Intermediate/Final Coat may be required to provide at Shop/field as directed by KPL engineer in charge. (Rate shall include cost of supply of paint, primer, surface preparation, scaffolding, painting complete in all respect as per instructions of KPL Engineer-in-Charge). Primer & paint shall be of approved make as specified by KPL. The rate also include designing the pile foundations, PEB shed, and vetting of complete structural design by two govt. approved structural design engineers or consultants (preferably govt institutes like IIT /NIT etc.) and submission of structural stability certificate as per the requirement of KPL & Local statutory authority.

Colour Coated Profile Sheet for roofing/wall cladding/canopy Providing & fixing colour coated Galvalume steel profile sheets (size, shape and pitch of corrugation as approved by Engineer-in-charge) of bare metal thickness 0.50mm as per ASTM A446 having yield stress of 550mpa, surface shall have hot dip metallic coating of Aluminium Zinc alloy comprising of 55% aluminium, 43.5% zinc & 1.5% silicon, with 5-7 micron epoxy primer and polyester top coat of 15-18 micron on both sides,total coated thickness(TCT) of 0.58mm. Sheet shall have protective guard film of 25 microns minimum to avoid scratches while transportation & should be supplied in single length up to 8.6 m or as desired by Engineer-in-charge. The fixing of sheet shall be complete as per manufacturer's specification including provision of Clip, washer, bolts, nuts, self drilling high grip screws with integral washeras necessary for fixing all complete as directed & instructed by KPL Engineer. The item also includes supply and fixing of Polycarbonate Translucent sheet of 2 mm thk having top surface plain & bottom surface textured and profile compatible with Zincalume /galvalume sheet with all accessories. The area of Polycarbonate Translucent sheet will be approx. @ of 5% of total covered area for lighting in both roofing & Cladding in matching profile of galvalume sheet as decided by KPL.

Providing & fixing mineral wool insulation of min 50mm thick under roof sheeting with density of 60 to 75kg/cq.m and fore class Euro 11 with required mesh and accessories and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. The fixing of insulation shall be complete as per manufacturer's specification & instructed by KPL Engineer.

Supplying, erection and fixing in position plain sheet 600 mm wide Colour coated galvalume ridge cap and corner flushing rolled, near rolling shutters from 0.58 mm TCT BHP Zincalume AZ-150 High tensile steel (Minimum yield strength of 550 Mpa) including fixing to Sheets stiched by (4.8 x 16 mm) Hex head stitch screws with metal bounded EPDM washers complete in all respects inclusive of cost of all labour, materials, tool, tackles etc. as per specification and direction of Site Engineer/ Engineer-in-Charge. The specification of plain sheet for Ridge shall be the same as of clip-on sheet.

Supplying, erection and fixing in position plain sheet (600 mm over all girth) with all the necessary accessories required including brackets, welding clamps, bolts, nuts galvanised iron and bituminious washers, drop ends, nozzles, stop ends etc. laid to required slopes making joints water tight, testing etc.complete as specified and directed. The specification of plain sheet for Ridge shall be the same as of clip-on sheet.

Providing, supplying, clamping and fixing 110mm Dia (6 kg/sqcm) UPVC rain water down take pipes from roof/canopy to the ground level including fittings & providing of all required accessories etc complete as per drawings

Rolling Shutters (Motor operated) Gear operated type-rolling shutters with gear box and crank handle at waist level on inside as well as outside Providing & fixing rolling shutter made out of 18 gauge steel sheets for laths, including bottom rail, guide channels, lock plates, locking arrangement, fixing bolts, pulling handles, hood, rolling arrangement, standard make springs in brackets, necessary bearings, etc. including fixing of frames with rag bolts, grouting of parts in position etc. and also including two coats of red oxide zinc chromate primer and two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved colour, shade & brand etc. complete as per relevant IS standard or as per manufacturer's requirements or as directed by KPL. All fitted & fixed complete as per the drawings and instructions of KPL Engineer In charge.

Pile Boring and installation excluding concrete and reinforcement: Boring, providing and installing bored cast-in-situ reinforced cement concrete piles of 450mm diameter and length (approx. 10 M). The cost specified includes the cost of boring with, bentonite solution and temporary casing of appropriate length for setting out and removal of same and the length of the pile to be embedded in the pile cap etc all complete, including removal of excavated earth with all lifts & leads (Length of pile for payment shall be measured upto bottom of pile cap). The item rates are inclusive of completion of Test piles & allied works and submission of reports to KPL for approval.

Excavation & Backfilling in All Types of Ordinary soil including filled soil, clayey silt, etc from existing Ground level 0 m to 3.0 m and more depth below FGL/NGL: Excavation and backfilling around foundation and trenches/pits in all types of soil viz. earth, sand,gravel, clay, soft & hard murum, Asphalt, WBM etc. (excluding soft/hard rock) for footings, steps, plinth beams, foundations, basements, drains, walls, trenches, manholes, underground tanks/pits, culvert crossway etc etc including shoring strutting, dewatering wherever required (until foundation work is complete). Item also includes carting, stacking if required,filling, Spreading, levelling and compacting/ consolidating, disposal of surplus materials outside with a lead of 5km within the Port premises as directed by KPL Engineer In Charge (Rate includes removal of any vegetation, small shrubs etc.).

Filling with good quality available earth (Excavation excluded) below Grade Slab, basement etc. and wherever required with approved quality of earth laid in layers not exceeding 300 mm in loose thickness including levelling, watering, ramming, rolling, compacting with 10-12MT mechanical roller / hand compactor/ mechanical rammer to 95% Modified Proctor Density etc as per specification in Earthwork in Filling. complete with any lead within 1 KM from KPL premises as directed and instructed by KPL Engineer In charge. The item includes cost of dewatering if required including payment of Royalty to Owner of borrow pit, if applicable; payment of applicable royalties, taxes, etc to Statutory Authority.

150mm thk. Rubble Soling with manual compaction Providing, supplying and placing 150 mm thick dry rubble stone packing/soling under floor and ramp & other similar locations as per drawing, handset vertically in rectangular lines, interstices filled in with smaller stone chips including watering, compacting/consolidating & finishing to the required levels and lines etc with manual compaction etc complete as directed by CONSULTANT/KPL Engineer-In- Charge. (Blinding layer shall be of metal, sand or murrum supplied by contractor)

PCC (1:4:8) Providing and laying Plain Cement Concrete of nominal volumetric mix 1:4:8 (1 Cement: 4 Sand: 8 Crushed stone aggregates) with 40 mm and down size graded aggregates below RCC foundations and grade slab & any other work as per requirement including any required permanent brick /stone masonry including shuttering, dewatering, tamping, ramming, curing, etc with all leads & lifts, Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form work and all complete as per instructions of KPL Engineer-in- Charge.

RCC M30 (according to IS 456) - Providing and laying in position ready mixed concrete of M30 grade, manufactured in fully automatic batching plant and transported to site of work in transit mixer for piles, pile cap, foundations, walls, pedestals, columns, beams, ramp, retaining walls, staircases, copings, projections, column/ beam encasings, floor slabs etc. all leads having continuous agitated mixer, manufactured as per mix design of specified grade for reinforced cement concrete work including pumping of R.M.C. from transit mixer to site of laying , including the cost of Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form work, finishing but excluding the reinforcement including cost of admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS : 9103 to accelerate/ retard setting of concrete, improve workability without impairing strength and durability as per direction of the Engineer - in - charge. (Note :- Minimum Cement content considered in this item is @ 340 kg/cum).

HYSD Bars of Grade Fe 500D TMT for reinforcement Supplying and placing in position High Yield Strength deformed TMT Bars conforming to IS: 1786, Fe500D for piles, pile cap, column, pedestals, retaining walls, beams, slabs, columns, etc at all levels and locations of RCC work with all leads & lifts. including transporting the steel, straightening, cleaning, decoiling, cutting, bending to required shapes and lengths as per specifications, binding with Contractor's own 16 gauge SWG binding wire at every intersection, supplying and placing with proper cover blocks, supports, chairs, overlaps, spacers, etc. all complete as per Bar bending schedule approved by CONSULTANT/KPL Engineer-in-Charge includes all testing requirement'. The weight of reinforcement shall be calculated as per theoretical weight given in standard steel table and wastage/ unauthorized overlaps/binding wires shall not be payable extra.

Reinforced Cement concrete flooring M25 grade 150mm thk laid over PCC & rubble soling ( exlcuding cost of PCC and rubble soling) and finish with ironite hardener @ 15 kg/Sqm. The floor slab shall be cast in size not more than 3.5m wide with shuttering of size 150mm MS channel (provide 3mm saw cut at every 6m along length and to provide polysulphide filling in the groove of size 6mmx12mm). Vacuum dewatering method shall be adopted for the complete floor with neat cement finish, including cement slurry, including the cost of nosing of steps etc. complete. (Note :-Minimum Cement considered in this item is @ 330 kg/cum).

Providing and applying external sand faced plaster 20mm thk consists of 12 mm thk in C.M. 1:6 first coat and 8 mm thk in CM 1 : 2 second coat to all RCC and masonry works at all locations and levels including required grain finishing, curing etc. complete as per specification and as directed and instructed by KPL Engineer in charge. NOTE: The rates includes the cost of the base coat of not less than 12mm thk., external patta, drip moulds, curing and providing and fixing 200mm wide G.I. chicken mesh 26g thk. & 15mm mesh size at junctions of brick and RCC/PCC work etc. as well as providing and mixing waterproofing compound of approved make in both coats as per manufacturers specifications.

Exterior Paint: Providing and applying one coat of approved primer & two coats of Exterior Emulsion paint of Asian make (ACE Paint) or equivalent of approved shade to all external surfaces of cement plastered work or concrete including scaffolding, preparation of the surfaces as per manufacturers requirements, crack filling with approved filler material, curing etc. complete as per manufacturers specifications & as directed by KPL Engineer in charge

Handrail - Supply and fixing of MS handrail along the length of the ramp for height of 600mm above the kerb wall TOC level with 32NB pipe spaced at 1m interval and top rail, middle rail (Two rows of pipe) along the full length with all required fittings and all complete as desired by the Engineer in charge

Supplying, installing, tesing and commissioning of "DOCK LEVELLER" of size "2.50m x 2.20m" or nearest size available in the market to suit in the opening with a loading capacity of 6Tonnes to 9Tonnes complete as per relevant IS standard or as per manufacturer's requirements or as directed by KPL. All fitted & fixed complete as per the drawings and instructions of KPL Engineer In charge.

Clearing jungle including uprooting of rank vegetation, grass, brush wood, trees and saplings of girth upto 30 cm measured at a height of 1 m above ground level and whereever required and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge and removal of rubbish upto a distance of 50 m outside the periphery of the area cleared and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge including all labour, materials ,tools etc., all complete

Site grading by cutting the soil heaps and filling the earth in low level areas mechanically by using excavator and loader /tipper within a lead of 1km all complete and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge including all labour, tools etc., all complete. Note: The Site grading area will be measured excluding the area of the building.

Container Yard

Earth work excavation up to 1.50m depth in ordinary soil, sand, clay mixed with roots, boulders weighing individually less than 250 Kg, debris, rubbish etc., as existing at site of work for all foundations, LLR and other such works as directed including dressing of sides ramming of bottom all as per relevant specification, drawings and as directed, stacking the excavated earth within a lead of 50 m for transportation/ refilling including shoring, strutting, including all labour, tools, tackles, equipments, fuel etc., complete.

Providing and laying plain cement concrete of mix 1:4:8 (1 Cement: 4 coarse river sand: 8 hard granite graded stone aggregate of 40 mm nominal size) in volumetric proportions for levelling course in foundations for footing, basement and other such works wherever required all as per relevant specification, drawings and as directed including mixing, transporting, placing, shuttering, ramming, consolidating, curing etc., including all materials, labour, tools, plants, equipments, fuel, etc. complete.

Providing and laying M25 grade concrete in volumetric proportions for the retaining kerb wall/ isolated block foundation for fence post around the yard areas and all as per relevant specifications as directed as site including plastering in CM 1:4 including mixing, transporting, placing, centering & shuttering, vibrating, curing etc., including all materials, labour, tools, equipment, machinery, fuel etc., complete. Note: Steel reinforcement shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item of this schedule. (Note :- Minimum Cement considered in this item is @ 330 kg/cum).

Providing and laying Granular Sub – base (GSB) layer of 250 mm compacted thickness on the prepared sub grade with approved granular materials of minimum CBR value 30 grading conforming to Table 400 – 1 of MOST including screening, spreading in uniform layer with Motor grader, watering and premixing at optimum moisture content, compacting with Power and Vibratory Rollers of 80 to 100KN static weight to not less than 98% of the maximum laboratory dry density as per IS: 2720 (part 8) and fine dressing to required grade and cross slope as shown on the Drawing or as directed by the Engineer, including obtaining and transporting all materials from approved quarry site to work site with all lifts and lead by Mechanical Transport, head load or any other mode of transportation, including labour, tools, equipment, safety measures, testing and incidentals necessary to complete the work as per Technical Specification Clause 401of MoRT&H and as directed at Site including all materials, labour, tools, equipment, machinery, fuel etc., complete.

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate (size range 53mm to 0.075mm) to Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) of 200mm Thick specification incluidng premixing the materilas with water at OMC for all leads & lifts, laying in unform layers with mechanical paver finishers in sub-base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller of 8 to 10 tonne capacity to achieve the desired densit, complete all as per drawing and specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge including all materials, tools, etc. all complete

Supplying and laying Interlocking 100mm thick paver block of M40 grade in position as approved over sand of average 50mm thickness including filling the gaps with existing sand as per direction of Engineer-in - charge at site and whereever required and as directed at site including all labour, materials ,tools etc., all complete

Providing impregnated bituminuous pad of 20mm thick in Expansion joint at an interval not more than 30m as per drawing and/or as directed at site including cost of all materials, labour, formwork, tools and plants including all other incidental charges etc; complete as per relevant standard specifications and as directed at Site including all materials, labour, tools, equipment, machinery, fuel etc., complete.

Supplying and providing Reinforcement for R.C.C. work including straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position and binding all complete. Thermo-Mechanically Treated bars (FE-500) as per drawing and releveant IS all complete. and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge including all labour, materials ,tools etc., and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge including all labour, materials ,tools etc., all complete

Supplying, fabricating and fixing MS Strucutural members of angle 65x65x6 for fence post of 2.75m length above FGL and 0.75m below FGL embedded into the concrete which is spaced at 2.50m c/c along the length of the fence. Diagonal post at 25m spacing (11th post from each bracing bay) and at all the corners including accessoreies like MS Angle, MS Plate, fasteners etc., required for fencing post, incluing all labour, materials, tools, plants, scaffolding, etc. complete.

Providing and fixing PVC coated GI chain link fencing of 2.0m high with PVC coated sleeve of mesh size 50x50mm made out of 3mm dia G.I wire having total thickness not less than 5mm, including tying chain link fencing with MS members, 3nos of high tensile wires provided one at top, botttom and middle along with 2 nos of 50x6mm flat at the top and bottom and tied using PVC coated binding wire of total thickness 4mm to the required level and alignment all as directed at site including all labour, equipments, transport, fuel, materials, tools, plants, scaffolding etc., complete. Note: Payment for MS members will be measured and paid separately relevant item of this schedule

Supplying, fabricating and fixing in position M.S. Grill gate ( 4 nos) of approved design to suit the size of the door opening in the fencing, made out of MS members with necessary MS Spindle clamps to fix the gate to the existing MS / Structrual frame arrangement in the fencing by Welding including painting one coat of Zinc Chromate primer and 2 coats of epoxy paint all as directed at site of work including all labour, materials, tools, equipments,scaffolding, transport, fuel etc. complete. Note: 1. The weighment of the MS Grill and accessories will be done at site using the approved weighing scale in the presence of Engineer’s representative. Necessary chargesfor transport, weighment etc., will be borne by the contractors. In case the specified MS section is not available in the market , the nearest alternative section may be used after approval of Engineer’s In-Charge.
