Short Term Maintenance Contract STMC work from Km 164.00 to Km 194.555 on NH73 pertaining to Executive Engineer National Highway Division Hassan in the state of Karnataka

BILL NO:1 ROAD MAINTENANCE Maintenance of Earthen Shoulder (filling with fresh soil) Making up loss of material / irregularities on shoulder to the design level by adding fresh approved soil and compacting it with appropriate equipment. (Average filling depth 150 mm), including all labour, usage charges of machinery, lead, lifts, loading, unloading transporting etc., complete as per specifications and as per directions of Engineer-in-charge of work.

Cleaning of Slab/box Culverts: Maintenance of Hume pipe Culvert by way of Clearing, Cleaning, Erosion repair, repairs to cracks, parapet wall and protection work as per drawing and technical specification including all lead, lifts, loading, unloading, all labour, usage charges of machinery etc., complete as per specifications and as per directions of Engineer-in-charge of work.

Cleaning of Pipe Culverts: Maintenance of Slab type Culverts by way of clearing, Cleaning, Erosion repair, repairs to cracks, parapet walls and Protection works as per drawing and technical pecification including all lead, lifts, loading, unloading, all labour, usage charges of machinery, etc., complete as per specifications and as per directions of Engineer-in-charge of work.

Clearing and grubbing road land including uprooting rank vegetation, grass, bushes, shrubs, saplings and trees girth up to 300 mm, removal of stumps of trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials and stacking of serviceable material to be used or auctioned upto a lead of 1000 meters including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150 mm in thickness including all labour, hire charges of all machineries etc., complete as per specifications and as per directions of Engineer-in-charge of work. (For new road) - In area of light jungle by Mechanical means using Motor Grader.

Surface Drains in Soil (New): Construction of unlined surface drains of average cross sectional area 0.40 sqm in soil to specified lines, grades, levels and dimensions to the requirement of clause 301 and 309. Excavated material to be used in embankment within a lead of 1000 metres including all lead, lifts, all labour, usage charges of all machinery etc., complete as per specifications and as per directions of Engineer-in-charge of work.

Filling Pot-holes and Patch Repairs with Bituminous concrete, 40mm thick. Removal of all failed material, trimming of completed excavation to provide firm vertical faces, cleaning of surface, painting of tack coat on the sides and base of excavation as per clause 503, back filling the pot holes with hot bituminous material as per clause 504, compacting, trimming and finishing the surface to form a smooth continuous surface, all as per clause 3004.2, including cost of all materials, all labour, usage charges of machinery, lead, lifts, loading, unloading stacking, transporting etc., complete and as per directions of Engineer-in-charge of work Grading II 13mm (Nominal size) (Initial Repair)

Road Marking with Hot Applied Thermoplastic Compound with Reflectorising Glass Beads on Bituminous surface providing and laying of hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.5 mm thick including reflectorising glass beads at 250 gms per sqm area, thickness of 2.5mm is exclusive of surface applied glass beads as per IRC :35. The finished surface to be level, uniform and free from streaks and holes, including, barricading, traffic diversion as per IRC-35, cleaning the surface of dirt, dust and other foriegn matter, demarcation at site, traffic control, cost of all materials all labour, lead, lifts, loading, unloading transporting etc., complete. as per specifications and as per directions of Engineer-in-charge of work. 2.5mm thick

Supplying and Fixing of Molded Shank Raised Pavement Markers / Cat's eye made of polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 16000 kg tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H and complying to Specifications of Category A of MORTH Circular No RW/NH/33023/10-97 DO III Dt 11.06.1997. The height, width and length shall not exceed 50 mm, 100 mm and 102 +/- 2 mm and with minimum reflective area of 13 cm2 on each side and the slope to the base shall be 35 +/- 5 degree. The strength of detachment of the integrated cylindrical shanks, (of diameter not less than 19 +/- 2 mm and height not less than 30+/- 2 mm) from the body is to be a minimum value of 500 Kg. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer's recommendation and complete as directed by the Engineer-in-charge of work. The contractor shall submit a two year warranty for satisfactory field performance including stipulated retro-reflectance of the reflecting panel, to the Engineer.

BILL NO:2 ROAD PROPERTY MAINTENANCE "W" Metal Beam Crash Barrier: Providing and erecting a "W" metal beam crash barrier comprising of 3 mm thick corrugated sheet metal beam rail, 70 cm above road/ ground level, fixed on ISMC series channel vertical post, 150 x 75 x 5 mm spaced 2 m centre to centre, 1.8 m high, 1.1 m below ground/road level, all steel parts and fitments to be galvanised by hot dip process, all fittings to conform to IS:1367 and IS:1364, metal beam rail to be fixed on the vertical post with a spacer of channel section 150 x 75 x 5 mm, 330 mm long complete as per clause 811 including cost of all materials all labour, lead, lifts, loading, unloading transporting etc., complete as per specifications and as per directions of Engineer-in-charge of work. Retro-Reflectorised Traffic Signs Providing and fixing of retro- reflectorised cautionary, mandatory and informatory sign as per IRC :67 made of Class-B Type IV retro reflective sheeting fixed over 2 mm thick aluminium sheeting vide clause 801.3, 4mm thick Aluminium composite material sheet including lettering depending on the size of the sign fixed over back support frame of min 25 x 25 x 3mm Angle mounted on a mild steel circular pipe 65 NB 3.60mtrs high (min effective height 1.30 mtrs), 3.2 mm thickness. firmly fixed to the ground by means of properly designed foundation with M25 grade cement concrete 45 cm x 45 cm x 60 cm, 60 cm below ground level as per approved drawing.
