REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF EARTHING AND OTHER ALLIED SERVICES AT AFS HAKIMPET UNDER GE (AF) HAKIMPET

Note:- 1. The contractor should visit the site before quoting the tender to know the working condition of the station. 2. All requisite safely measures are to be adopted by contractor on site. 3. The contractor shall provide and deploy sufficient electrician (as approved by GE / Engineer in charge) shall report at 9:00 hrs to JE E/M / Engineer in Charge to collect the complaints job card in working days and complete the same completed within 24 Hrs. 4. The complaints shall be rectified within 24 Hrs if the complaints is/are not attended / not completed within 24 Hrs (Except repair/replacement of major items) recovery will be done at Rs 500 per complaint per day. 5. After completion of job work complaint, the contractor has to produce job card duly signed by user & JE / Engineer in Charge. 6. If contractor failed to provide their electrician to attend the complains then recovery will be done at Rs 1000 per day. 7. The contractor should procure minimum 50% of the materials for all items as per BOQ (Other than paints) mentioned in this CA, within 20 days after getting sample approval and kept in safe custody so that no delay in work due to non-availability of materials will be faced. Contractor should ensure during the cause of work that he has minimum 25% of materials with him till the completion of work. If contractor fail to complete the work within contract due to lack of fittings a penalty of 20% shall be applicable on quoted rates by the contractor. 8. In repair works, rate quoted for demolition /dismantling /taking down is deemed to be inclusive of removing the same from site and station. 9. In maintenance works, the contractor should maintain separate registers for repair works. Day to day complaints should be noted in those registers with SI nos of complaints, location qty of work, status of complaints and signature of in charge and stamp of the office. Formal will be given from concern AGE office. The contractor should obtain the signature of in charge on the same day of work. These register to be submitted to JE (E/M) on every weekend without fail. 10. The contracts involving working at elevated locations of buildings, contractor should ensure proper safety arrangements as per norms. Wearing safety belts and helmets are mandatory. After completion of work, no stores/debris/ loose items be kept at work site or dumped inside station . Entire area to be cleared and waste material be taken outside from the station .

M&L for Maintenance free earthing all as per following specification and as directed by Engineer-in-charge:- a) Copper bonded MS rod with Low carbon steel, high tensile strength ,min 250 microns of copper plating, UL listed, Diameter- 17.2 mm, Length- 3 meters, Approvals- Tested acc. IEC / EN 62561-2, UL 467.Make: Marconite/ DEHN/JEF TECHNO (b) 20 kg backfilled compound, - Material Carbon based backfill/earthing compound, Fulgurite formation test at direct lightning (10/350 μm), lightning long duration test at- 100C No fulgurites/Pass, Environmentally Friendly ROHS certified, Resistivity- < 0.12 ΩM, Complying Standard- IEC 62561-7 , Testing Approvals Certified from- NABL accredited Laboratories. (c) SS 316 grade Termination clamp to terminate the load on earth electrode for termination, Material of construction - 316 grade stainless steel, Dimension - 160x35x3 mm

Note : a) Quoted rate includes testing of earthings and earth results should be less than 1 Ohm. The contractor will be responsible to submit the result sheets to the department along with the locations. b) The GI strip shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item of this BoQ.The electrode and GI strip shall be welded using exothermic welding. c) The quoted rate is deemed to include boring, all necessary earth work, excavation, refilling and making good the excavated surface. d) The contractor must give guarantee for earth resistance of less than 1ohms for a minimum period of 5 years from certified date of completion. e) Alll necessary test certificates and OEM certificate must be submitted within 15days of acceptance.

All as per item No. 1 above but tripod earthing- 3 electrodes connected to form a grid complete all as directed by Engineer-in-charge

M&L for Earth continuity Hot dip GI strip 32X6 mm with saddles and fixing screws etc fixed to wall on batten/porcelain insulator or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing including breazing at each necesasry joints etc.

M&L for Earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 600x600x6mm thick buried directly in ground earth pit not less than 2.25mtr deep below normal ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 mtr below ground level connected to galvanized iron or steel earth lead strip 32x6 mm size upto 7.5 mtr long in single length by mean of nut/bolt and washer of galvanized iron or steel as shown in electrical plate no 5 of SSR part I including necessary excavation in hard/dense soil and earth work GI pipe 20mm dia medium grade for watering and GI 15mm dia light grade pipe for protection of GI earth wire etc, PCC chamber with PCC cover in cement concrete 1:2:4 Type B1(20mm graded aggregate), funnel, wire mesh, charcoal dust, salt etc, connected to LT panel board as indicated including testing complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour for earthing pit display boards made out of 3mm thick MS sheet of size 30 x 35cm welded to 75cm long 25 x 25 x 5 mm thick MS angle iron grouted in PCC 1:3:6 (with 20mm stone aggregate) to a depth of 20 cm and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved color over a coat of red oxide primer and writing the letters on plate for showing the following details: 1. For repair of earth pit by using liquid chemical earthing solution (not less than 10 Kg) and mixing with water and filling into the chemical earth pit to achieve the result less than 01 to 05 Ohm as required at site all as directed.

S & F single pointed Air termination rod made of Aluminium Dia 12mm, Height 300mm size over existing RCC roof/AC sheet roof/GI sheet roof etc all as specified and directed.

M&L for porcelain vitreous white seperators and fixing screws etc . to be refixing along with the pole and wall with existing copper strip all as directed by Engr in Charge.

M&L for dismantling of of old damaged /cracked PCC of earth pit and prepare the new Earth pit using PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 with 20 mm graded stone aggregate along with the cover with handle complete all as specified and directed .

M&L in replacement for Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75x75x25mm drilled and screwed including 3 nos. 8mm dia 25mm long hex. head screw, including taking down unserviceable test point terminal blocks, complete all as specified and directed

Measurement of earth resistance in presence of user, recording the values in Earth resistance test register, obtaining signature from user at locations and as per timelines prescibed by Engineer-incharge. Note: The necessary T&P shall be provided by the contractor to the person carrying out the job.
