Surface excavation n.exc (not exceeding) 30 cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Excavating over areas, n exc 1.5 m deep and getting out soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

M & L Cement concrete 1:4:8 type D2 using 40mm graded crushed aggregate in foundations, filling and mass concretecomplete all as specified and directed.

M & L for returning filling in including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers n.exc 25cm in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.(Note:-Measurements shall be those of the borrow pits,trenches, etc. from which the material is obtained. If this is found difficult or impracticable, measurements of the finished embankment, traverse of earth filling shall be taken after consolidation and 10% deducted to allow for increase in bulk after excavation. No deduction shall however be made in case of consolidated fills in confined places such as floors. Where the consolidation is done by heavy mechanical machinery or to the specified standard proctor density under optimum moisture conditions, deduction shall be 5 percent).

M & L for Removing of excavated materials of soils n.exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.(Note:-(a) The removal of spoil resulting from excavation performed by the Contractor shall be paid for, on the basis of solid contents measured before excavation. If measuring of the solid contents is found difficult or impracticable, the following percentage deductions shall be made to arrive at equivalent solid contents :- (i) 10 per cent deduction in all cases of consolidated fills except where the consolidation is done by heavy mechanical machinery or to the specified standard proctor density not less than 95 per cent under optimum moisture conditions, in which case the deduction shall be 5 per cent.(ii) No deduction shall be made in the case of consolidated fills in confined situations like floors.(iii) 20 per cent deduction when spoil excavated from soft/loose soil or hard/dense soil is measured in loose stacks or in carts or lorries. (iv) No deduction shall be made when spoil excavated is sand.(v) 50 per cent deduction when spoil excavated from soft/disintegrated rock or hard rock is measured in loose stacks or in carts or lorries. (b) In working out lead for large areas of excavation, the excavated areas shall be divided into suitable blocks and for each block the distance from the centre of block to the centre of placed earth pertaining to the corresponding block shall be taken as lead.(c) Theunit rates for removal of spoil include for loading into and unloading from barrows, carts, baskets, etc., or mechnical transport vehicles. In the case of spoil heaps which, in the opinion of the GE, have consolidated and require loosening before removal half the rate for rough excavation in soft soil shall be allowed in addition. However, this additional payment shall not be permitted for spoil heaps requiring loosening due to Contractor’s default. Decision of GE whether a spoil heap needs loosening or not, shall be final and binding.(d) Removal shall be assumed to be done by the shortest practicable route, and payment shall not necessarily be made for the route actually taken. No additional payment shall be allowed for roads in bad repair,gradients, or carting over consolidated ground .(e) In case excavated materials are removed to the place of use or disposed directly without being first placed clear of the edge of excavation, no adjustment shall be made in the unit rates for removal of spoil.).

M&L Walling of random rubble, uncoursed, well bonded, bedded and solidly hearted, built in cement mortar (1:6) complete all as specified and directed.

Extra over stone walling for hammer dressing to face stones and dressing of face beds and joints,as specified, of random rubble walling,uncoursed or brought upto courses for hammer dressing with maximum depression on face from straight edge held against the dressed surface n exc. 40mm granite or trap stone complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for providing cement concrete(CAST-IN-SITU) Type C1 1:3:6 (20 mm graded crushed aggregate) in bond stone and coping complete all as specified and as directed.

Suuply only PVC (SWR) pipes, single socketed, in any length , with rubber rings 110mm dia as in weep hole complete all as specified and directed.

Forming embankments (Solids) including raising (or lowering) earth, spreading in layers n exc. 30 cm thick; watering, ramming/rolling and finishing to required size, shape, etc., exc. 1.5 m high but n exc 3m high from base complete all as specified and directed.

M & L Raised pointing to random or polygonal rubble, uncoursed or brought upto courses in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparing newly plastered surfaces of walls and applying two coats of White wash on walls complete all as specified and directed.
