87635 APPLICATION OF POLYMER MODIFIED EMULSION (PME) ON FLEXIBLE SURFACE OF RUNWAY AND PTT FROM S1 TO C3 INCLUDING CRACK FILLING OF RUNWAY AT ARAKKONAM

Material and labour for preparing of old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface using air blower to remove all loose dirt etc., complete and applying cold Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) mopping of total cold liquid PME 1.00 Litre per Sqm (undiluted) for two coats of mineral filler as recommended by manufacturer of PME (after diluting with water), each coat diluted in the ratio 1:1 (PME:Water) and ensuring uniform finish of runway complete all as per manufacturer's instructions and all as specified and as directed.

Note: The tenderer shall take into consideration the following points while quoting this rate for this item :- (a) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicator of the manufacturer only. (b) A performance guarantee certificate for two year shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of the works as specified.

Material and labour for neatly cutting the cracks on flexible pavements by chiselling machine / diamond cutter including cleaning the cracks by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud and using air blowers for removing loose dirt, debris etc...and providing "RUNPHALT" bitumen tubing/ rope, elastomeric, liquefiable, self levelling sealent, by inserting the same into the cleaned cracks by suitable means like screw drivers and subsequently melting it using heating process/ torching it continiuously (without removing the plastic wraps) untill it liquifies and fills in the voids of cracks fully upto the pavement surface, complete all as per manufacturer's instructions and all as specified and as directed, for the following crack widths:- Make: M/s Sirijan Systems Pvt Ltd. Note: The application must be in the presence of the rep of the manufacturer and strictly as per manufacturers instructions

Width of crack 1/2 inch or 12.7 mm, Black colour

Width of crack 1/4 inch or 6.35 mm, Black colour

Material and labour for applying retro reflective road marking painting of specified shade/ colour, to runway, taxi way, center line, apron markings etc....., for obtaining minimum thickness of 375 micron (WTF), either continuous or broken lines, to the required width and length over the existing painted surface/ new bituminous surface/ newly applied PME surfaces, with water based road marking paint (Retro reflective paint), approved by MORTH, IRTC and AAI including supply of paint material at the rate of 0.67 Kg per Sqm (Minimum) and glass beads at the rate of 0.35 Kg per Sqm (Reflective Index minimum 1.5), applied using self propelled airless spray painting equipment with provision for glass bead dispenser , driven by experienced operator on road including all materials, labour, T&P and including cleaning the road surface of dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign materials etc., complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Thermoplastic Retro reflective paint shall be applied as per manufacturers instructions along with MORTH specifications and speciality Make of paint: M/s Asian Paints (Brand: APCOTRAK WBR) or equivalent brand in makes specified in the PS as approved by GE. Make of Airless spray paint equipment: model “LineLazer V 5900 Standard series gas airless line stripper, 2 Guns” from M/s Graco or “Wagner PP90 Standard” from M/s Wagner or equivalent as approved by GE.

Material and labour for applying two coats of aqua based painting of any tint approved by MORTH, IRTC and AAI as in lettering, dashes, arrows including preparation of old painted bituminous surfaces exc 10cm width, including cleaning the blacktop surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud and using air blowers for removing loose dirt, debris etc... complete all as specified and as directed. (Note: Aqua based paint shall be applied as per manufacturers instructions along with most technology and specially by using mechanical sprayer.)
