Supply, Installation, Commissioning and Testing of air terminal system of Collection Volume Method (CVM) with the following accessories complete all as specified and as directed :

Dynasphere lightning conductor stainless steel as per IEC 61024. The Air terminal shall be placed using the " Collection Volume Method / Field Intensification Method" placement methodology as specified in IEEE‐998 complete all as specified and as directed. Make: ERICO, Cat Part No: D/SMKIVSS or techno-commercially equivalent of SEIMENS/ HARGER.

Brief features/ specifications of the same is as follows: (i) Impulse Tested, atleast for 40 KA both +ve and -ve , 8/20 micro-second, resistance between the terminal tip and the sphere should be minimum 10 MΩ before and after the test. (ii) Free from Corona effect. (iii) Trigger an upward streamer when there is a downward stream. (iv) The dome must be insulated from the rod but connected to ground via a dynamic variable impedance. (v) The center grounded electrode tip shall be at least 20mm diameter. (vi) The terminal must be isolated from the structure using an insulated support mast making an isolated lightning protection system. (vii) Air terminal should not be dependent upon batteries or external power supplies for any part of its operation. (viii) Streamer Emission should not be ESE type.

S & F 2 runs of 8 mm Copper Bonded Steel Round Conductor, minimum copper bonding shall be 254 microns having continuous coin form, the conductor core shall consist of low-carbon steel grade for improved flexibility. The copper surface of the conductor should provide high conductivity and corrosion resistance properties, well‐suited as a lightning protection conductor in accordance with IEC 62305‐3 Edition 2.0 standard complete all as specified and as directed. S & F Clamp Holder made up of 304 grade SS with SS bolt and nut at every 1 m distance of round conductor. The clamp should be suitable for double run of Copper bonded Steel round conductor size of 8-mm complete all as specified and as directed. Supply, Installation, Commissioning and Testing of Maintenance Free Radial Earthing system comprising of the following complete all as specified and as directed:

Copper Bonded Steel Earth Rod of size 5 feet x 5/8 inch diameter of 3 Nos, earthing system required excavation of 300 mm width x 450 mm depth x 5000 mm length in two different directions, 2 radials should be 10 meters apart, Auger 3 Nos hole of diameter 4 inch and 4 feet depth in the soil, Placing the Earth rods in to the augured hole, hammering the rods to 1 feet depth, Readymade PVC Heavy duty earth chamber (250 mm Dia , 260 mm Height) two numbers per one earthing system with minimum 5 ton load bearing capacity, removing excavated material complete all as specified and as directed. Brief features/ specifications of CBSE Rod is as follows: (i) The outer surface must be molecularly bonded with uniform layer of 250 micron Copper, 99.9% pure electrolytic copper coating. (ii) Nickel interface must be provided between the copper and steel to avoid the galvanic corrosion. (iii) Must be capable of withstanding fusing current of 20 KA. (iv) Earth rod must be in compliance with IEC 62305- 2. (v) Tensile strength greater than 80000 PSI on 12 mm. (vi) High resistance to corrosion.

Ground Enhancement Material (GEM) , Per Bag -11.33 Kgs ,Conforming to IEC 62561-7 Standard, , Premixing the GEM into slurry form using water( not more than 5 L to 6 L per bag), Pouring the GEM mixture in the augured hole and filling complete all as specified and as directed. Brief features/ specifications of the same is as follows: (i) Must be carbon based superior conductive material. (ii) Resistivity must be less than 2 Ω-cm. (iii) Must not cause corrosion to copper when in contact. (iv) Must not expand or experience any shrinkage once set. (v) Must not depend on the continuous presence of water / moisture / salt to maintain its conductivity (vi) Must not decompose or leach out with time. (vii) Must not contain hazardous chemicals as per IEC 62561-7 standard. viii) Flexural and possess compressive strength as per relevant standard. (ix) Sulphur content must be less than 2%.

Cadweld Materials for Connections between Ground Rod with CBSC conductor by Exothermic reaction. Connections to be made with a semi-permanent graphite mould, which shall hold the conductors to be welded. S & F Lightning Event Counter, Installed on down conductor, Non resettable mechanical counter, Non electronic without battery or external power source, IP67 enclosure, Triggering impulse < 2 KA, 8/20 micro second, Warning sticker should be provided near to the Down conductor in a visible place complete all as specified and as directed. Notes for Sl Item Nos 1 to 5 : (i) The complete work of the lightning protection system is to be got done from the OEM or their authorized sister concern/ channel partner only. (ii) Any items missed out in the technical specification, but technically required for efficient working of the system is deemed to be included in the unit quote rates. (iii) The approximate height of installation/fixing of the 5/7 Mtr elevation pole will be varying from 3 to 10 Mtrs from Ground/FFL. Contr is required to take all the safety precautions incl any type of ladders/scaffolding work & cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rates. (iv) The contractor/firm is required to visit the site prior to quoting of the subject items/ work so as to ascertain the actual ground requirements. Any further query at a later date shall not be entertained & responsibility of the same shall rest on the contractor/ firm. (v) Comparative analysis in respect of the items wherever techno-commercially equivalent w.r.t the given Cat/Part/Model ref concerned is to be submitted to the Engr-in-Charge & GE for approval. (vi) The cost of making good the disturbed surfaces (Walls, Roofs, Pavement etc) is deemed to be included in the unit quoted rate of relevant items.

(vii) Purchase Vouchers & Manufacturers test certificates to be submitted in original to the Engr-in-Charge. (viii) Design/Drawing/BOM/Technical Specifications of the complete lightning protection system showing the layout including dimensions is to be obtained from OEM strictly keeping in view the actual ground requirements & the same is to be got approved from Engr-in-Charge & GE before placing final order to the OEM. (ix) The contractor should submit a detailed Report of Test results (Air terminal, Lightning Event Counter and Grounding ) from OEM after completion of work and same is to be certified from Engr-in-Charge & GE. (x) Repair/ Servicing / Preventive & Breakdown maintenance of the complete lightning protection system is to be got done from the OEM/ Sister Concern/ Channel partner only by the contractor for the entire defect liability period i.e two years from the certified date of completion & the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quote rates. (xi) Testing at an interval of 6 months of the entire lightning protection system is to be got done from the OEM/ Sister Concern/ Channel Partner only by the contractor & report submitted accordingly to the Engr-in-Charge for the entire defect liability period & and the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the unit quote rates.
