Subhead - I Operation and Maintenance

Operation, Monitoring and Maintenance of Fire hydrant, Sprinkler Systems & Operation and Monitoring of Fire Alarm system on round the clock basis including maintaining records/ reports/ Supervision of the total system at Coimbatore Airport as per specifications & directions of Engineer-In-Charge. The scope of work includes carrying out monthly preventive maintenance as per OEM standards as per inventory, attending breakdown maintenance within 24 hours of intimation through telephone/mail. (Refer Annexure-A1 for inventory of equipments, Annexure-B1 for monitoring & maintenance activities, Annexure-C Man power details)

Comprehensive maintenance of fire alarm & smoke detection system ( comprises Conventional & addressable system) installed at Coimbatore International Airport comprising of installations in terminal building, NAV-AID building (DVOR, LLZ, NDB, GP, MT section, cargo etc..) as detailed in annexure of equipments. This item is for supply/repair of the fauly/failure componenets, correcting/ up-dating the software with original software according to the requirement, relevant accessories, tools and any specialized man power resources required to complete the works. (Manpower provided in Item No. 1 shal be used for maintenance)

Dismantling of existing split case/ radially split case type Centrifugal pump sets of following make/ models for necessary overhauling/ repairing i/c supply and replacement of both side bearings, mechanical seal, petty materials like stud bolts, gland packing, gasket, rubber bush for coupling, greasing of bearings, reassembling, realignment of the pump with motor, testing, commissioning and painting etc. complete as required. (Once in a year)

Dismantling of following valves from the existing fire fighting water pipe line, Complete removal of scale deposits by acid dipping, scrapping and overhauling, replacement of packings, nut & bolts and gaskets etc. as required & reinstalling the same in its original postion i/c. testing and commissioing complete as required. For 0.5 inch to 1 inch Gate/Non Return/Globe/Foot valves

Providing laying, testing & commissioning of 'C' class heavy duty MS Pipe conforming to IS 1239/3589 i/c fittings like elbows, tees, flanges, tapers, nuts bolts, gaskets etc. and fixing the pipe on the wall/ceiling with suitable clamp/support frame and painting with two or more coats of synthetic enamel paint of required shade complete as required. The scope of work includes dismantling of old pipe lines if required.

Providing, laying, testing & commissioning of 'C' class heavy duty MS pipe conforming to IS 3589/IS 1239 including Welding, fittings like elbows, tees, flanges, tapers, nuts bolts, gaskets etc. and fixing the pipe which are under the ground, under all types of flooring/ bituminous surface/ concrete surface, supplying and installing new MS Heavy class pipes with suitable 4mm thick insulation wrapping tar sheet etc., complete with flanges, bends, tees, supports etc., by welding with approved make & specifications as required. The scope of work includes dismantling of old pipe lines if required.

Dismantling of old/unserviceable Butterfly valves. Supplying, fixing, testing and commissioning of wafer type butterfly valve of PN 1.6 rating with SS disc nitrile liner with flow control lever duly ISI marked complete with nuts, bolts, washers, gaskets conforming to IS 13095 of following sizes as required :

Providing, fixing, testing & commissioning of installation control valve of cast iron body, brass/bronze working parts comprising of water motor alarm, bronze seat clapper, clapper arm and hydraulically driven mechanical gong bell to sound continuous alarm when the wet riser/sprinkler system activates, pressure gauges, emergency releases, strainer, pressure switch, cock valve complete with drain valve and bypass, test control box, ball valves, MS pipe of required size, flanges, orifice plate, gasket etc of follwing sizes as required :

Supplying and fixing the following size of Gate valve of approved make after dismantling the existing damaged one i/c replacement of the gasket, nut, bolts etc. as required.

Supply and fixing of 25mm GM Air release valve (Screwed type)

Suppy & fixing of hose reel drum set with hose 20mm x 30 mtr, hose reel nozzle with nut, bolt, clamp etc. complete as required.

Supplying & fixing of hose reel nozzle with exisiting suitable nut and bolt etc. complete as required.

Supplying & fixing of cotton linen hose with length of 15 meters with suitable couplings etc, complete as required.

Providing & fixing of suitable glass with screws and nuts with fire box etc. complete as required.

Supplying/ Providing & fixing of single headed fire hydrant landing valve with suitable bolt nuts and gaskets, etc., complete as required.

Providing & Fixing of Repeater Panel complete as required.

Fabrication, Supply and Fixing of M.S work by welding, providing lifting hook, painting etc., as required.

Providing one welder and one Khalasi along with Electric welding/ gas cutting machine and welding rods/ Oxygen Acetlyne gas for carrrying out leak arresting/ welding of fire fighting lines or other welding works during any urgent Preventive Maintenance/Breakdown Maintenance/ Emergency work as and when required.

Disconnecting and dismantling of burnt out Induction motor from the system. Complete dismantling of burntout stator winding and thorough cleaning of stator slots. Rewinding the stator with equivalent Class copper wire and insulating materials i/c. baking, varnishing, finishing and refixing the stator in the motor frame & re-installation in Fire pump room including transportation to and fro from Pump room etc as required.

Painting of metals surfaces/pipes/strucutres with Synthetic enamel paint of approved shade and colour in two or more coats to give an even shade including cleaning/ scrapping and remarking the existing indications/numbers/details with white paint/sticker etc., as required.

Providing Minor Civil Repair Works as required as detailed below:

Earth work (all types of soil) in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) /manual means including disposal of excavated earth, disposed earth to be levelled and neatly dressed.

Demolishing cement concrete manually/mechanical means including disposal of material within 50 metres lead as per direction of Engineer - in - Charge.

Dismantling manually/ by mechanical means including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable material within 50 metres lead as per direction of Engineer-in-charge - bituminous road

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means in foundation trenches or drains (not exceeding 1.5 m in width or 10 sqm on plan), including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms, lift upto 1.5 m, including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed, within a lead of 50 m. Brick work with common burnt clay F.P.S. (non modular) bricks of class designation 7.5 in foundation and plinth in: Cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand)

Cement plaster 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand) finished with a floating coat of neat cement. 12 mm cement plaster

Reinforced cement concrete work in beams, suspended floors, roofs having slope up to 15° landings, balconies, shelves, chajjas, lintels, bands, plain window sills, staircases and spiral stair cases above plinth level up to floor five level, excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement, with 1:1.5:3 (1 cement : 1.5 coarse sand (zone-III) derived from natural sources : 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size derived from natural sources).

Steel reinforcement for R.C.C. work including straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position and binding all complete upto plinth level. Mild steel and Medium Tensile steel bars

Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form for all heights : Suspended floors, roofs, landings, balconies and access platform

Supply of concrete closing lid for the constructed chamber & it shall withstand the load needs according to the location usage

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of UL / EN listed (latest version) loop powered addressable Hooter-cum- strobe with inbuilt fault isolator with termination etc. as required and as per enclosed specification.

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of UL / EN listed (latest version) loop powered addressable isolator module with termination etc. as required and as per enclosed specification.

Supply of 2 core 1.5 Sq.mm Copper conductor overall PVC sheathed GI wire Braided (flexible Armoured) FRLS grade cable complete as required.

Laying of 2 x 1.5 sqmm FRLS armoured cable, 600 / 1000V rated with annealed copper conductor as per applicable IS standared complete as required.
