Excavation in earthwork in hilly area all hights and depth, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil , ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution , etc. and to protect stability of hill side . Rock shall be excavated with chiselling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting / excavation , including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines grades , side slopes, width, camber, super elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in - Charges, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road, August 2004 ( Two thousand four ) and clause 16.2 ( Sixteen point two )of General Conditions for Contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut material in specified manner,tremming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in -Charge for smooth riding. The recovery of useful stone whether useful or not for 2342.69 cubic meter ( two thousand three hundred forty two point six Nine Cubic Metre) in al cases falling which recovery @ Rupees 170/- only (Rupees one hundered Seventy only) per cubic metre shall be effected on prorata basis. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of execution shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases,including all leads and lifts or as per the direction of Engineer - in Charge

Excavation in soil in Hilly area by manual means including cutting and trimming of side slopes and disposing of excavated earth with a lift upto 1.50 m and a lead upto 20 m as per technical specification clause 1603.1 including all leads and lifts or as per the direction of Engineer - in Charge

Earthwork in excavation for structures as per drawing and technical specification clause 305.1 including setting out construction of shoring and bracing ,removal of stumps and other deleterious materials and disposal upto all leads and lifts dressing of sides and bottom and backfilling in trenches with excaveted suitable materials as per MORD Specification directed by Engineer-In- Charge.
