SPECIAL REPAIR/REPLACEMENT OF AIR FIELD LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFLS) AND ASSOCIATED WORK SERVICES AT NORTHERN RUNWAY AT AF STATION GWALIOR

Installation of existing Elevated AFL Runway light fitting (any type) with base at location that is at centre of new paved shoulder of Runway including making good the existing surface also include transport to the Runway site from stores and submission of complete drawing for approval of user and precise alignment of AFLS lights as per Runway lighting norms all as specified and directed including reassembling parts of Omni/ Uni lights for Runway edge and connecting lights with isolation transformers fixed in vicinity of lights. Note :- The lights and bases will be issued by concerned section of user. Collection and necessary transportation shall deemed to be included in the rate. (a) List of parts for omani light (i) Lens (symmetrical or asymmetrical) (ii) Neoprene seal (iii) Spring lock (iv) Bulb 45 w ( tungsten type) (v) Two pin plug assembly (vi) Top & lower part of light (vii) Knureled head screw nut, tilting screw & tube (viii) Breakable coupling . (b) List of parts for UNI Lights (i)Reflector (ii)Aluminium Housing (iii) Socket P28/25 (iv) Cylindrical surface with rectangular slot (v) Tube (vi) Reflector attaching spring (vii) Two pin plug assembly (vii) Two pin plug assembly. (viii) Bulb 65 W (Tungsten type). (ix) Breakable coupling. (c)Tools, consumables and additional parts as required for assembling/finishing of the light points/assembling will have to be provided by the contractor. (d) Necessary precuations are to be taken by the contractor to avoid Scratch/damage to the subassemblies during the process of assembly. Any damage/scratch in the lens/or other part of the light point has to be borne by the contractor. (e) All the connections during assembling of the sub parts have to be made proper by the contractor so as to avoid moisture/dust ingress. No loose connection/joints are to be left. The electrical joints/points are also to be masked by proper masking material like heat shrinkable sheaths.sleeves and insulation setting/flexible material to avoid dust/moisture ingress. (f) Each light point has to be permanently marked with data i.e. Circuit name-Light Point No/Total number of lights in the circuit, using stencil cut writing. (g) Necessary Bolt of size 10mm in dia and 25mm length (06 Nos per lamp) along with nut, washers 01 No Rubber gasket is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (g) The Contractor is required to be qualified to under take such works and should have completed such worl of installation of AFLS at two different locations.

Laying, jointing and testing of single core high tension AFLS cables (size up to 10 sqmm), laid in trenches/ duct/ floor including jointing with AFLS light isolation transformer placed across in RCC chambers @60m c/c distance towards Runway at centre of paved shoulder (minimum 1.5m away from cables being laid) complete all as specified and directed for existing Northern Runway and November Link. Note :- AFLS cable with connector will be issued by concerned section of user. Collection and necessary transportation shall deemed to be included in the rate.

Removing the old unserviceacle GI wire 4mm dia and M & L for earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit or pipe or fixed to pole or any other indicated situations for loop earthing etc as required of size 25x3 mm galvanised iron strip complete all as specified and directed. Note: Earth work for removal of GI wire is deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

Material and labour in repair for Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60×60cm.× 6mm thick, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 metres deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less'than 1.5 metres below normal ground level, connected to galvanised earth lead wire 4.0mm dia by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 connected to earthing test point all as specified or indicated including testing on completion complete all as specified and directed . NOTE : (i) The cost of earth lead and its protection pipe upto and including 7.5 mtr only from the top of earth electrode are deemed to be included under this item and additional earth lead , if any, required at site shall be measured and paid for separately under appropriate item of Schedule `A’. (ii) Necessary excavation return refilling is deemed to be included in the quoted rate (iii) Any joint in earth lead from earth electrode to test point shall not be allowed/permitted.

M&L for cutting 500mm dia core(150mm deep in DLC + 150mm deep in PQC) and removing 150mm deep GSB and fixing of CI Transformer housing box, round shape of outside dia 450mm and 6 nos. M10 tapped holes to receive light fitting base plate and bolt along with grouting with cement mortar 1:2 on bottom and around housing complete. Note:- 1.CI Housing box will be supplied by User/ SE (L). Collection and necessary transportation shall deemed to be included in the rate. 2. 06 Nos SS bolt of Size 10 mm dia and 25mm length, nuts, washers and one No rubber gasket of size 450 mm dia and minimum 3mm thick for each housing is deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

Excavation in trenches n exc 1.5 mtr wide and n exc 1.5 mtr depth for foundation and laying of cable and getting out in any type soil etc complete all as specified and directed.

Sand cushioning and spreading clean, dry, fine river sand for UG electric cable in two layers (8 cm thick before laying the cable & 15 cm thick after laying cable) total 23 cm thick including gentle punning the sand upto 18 cm (total thickness) and consolidated around cable for protection of under ground cable complete all as specified and directed. (Note :- Only punned down thickness shall be measured for payment).

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling watering and well ramming in layers n.exc 25cm in soft/loose soil etc complete as specified and directed.

Removing of surplus excavated soil not exceeding 50 M distance and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Supply & Laying Bricks; common burnt clay building bricks, sub-class ‘A’ designation 75 for protection of AFLS cable complete all as specified and as directed

M&L boring of holes under road, pavement, hard standing by manually depth not less than 75 cm for insertion of GI Pipe of size 80 mm bore light grade for short length complete all as specified and directed. Note :- GI pipe 80 mm dia light grade shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item of Schedule 'A' complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in repair Copper strip 20 x 3.15mm with saddles and fixing screws etc.for roof conductors and down conductors above ground or concealed in ground complete all as specified and as directed

Supply and fix in repairs Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75x75x25mm drilled and screwed including 3 nos. 8mm dia 25mm long hex. head screw complete All as specified and as directed

M&L for tubes, 'light grade', galvanised 80mm dia, with all fitting; laid in trenches complete all as specified and as directed

Demolition of cement concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for concrete chamber and the like complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing precast cement concrete type B1 (1:2:4) using 20mm graded stone aggregate, set in CM 1:4, in landings, cover slabs (for man holesetc.) chullah hoods, chajjas, water toughs, mangers, shelves and similar articles i.e. concrete chambers for housing of AFLS circuit connections with plain faces complete all as specified and directed.

S&F 1mm thick mild steel plain black sheet in hearths in chullah hoods; water tanks; water troughs; ducts; urinal toughs and funnels, etc i.e.chamber for housing of AFLS circuit connections, cut to size edges if directed, holes punched; screws, clout nails or rivets and fixed to wood or steel members, etc., with plain 40 mm lap joints or welded/riveted seams including bending, turning up, mitred angles, stopped ends, outlets, etc. as required complete all as specified and directed.

M&L two coat synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer including preparation of new steel surface complete all as specified and directed.
