SPECIAL REPAIR TO ROAD FROM MT GATE TO DHOBI GHAT AT CC WG AND RAD AROUND BLDG NO 173 AT CMP CENTRE AND SCHOOL UNDER GE(SOUTH) BANGALORE

M&L for repairs to pot holes of any depth not exc 1.00 sqm each in area including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring the sunken surfaces in roads etc cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth , making good by applying tack coat @ 5kg per 10 Sqm (using paving bitumen of VG-10 grade), putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings) depth of potholes exc 30mm complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and Labour for Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area n. exc 400 sqm and depth not exc 50mm etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Screening road metal, Chippings, etc. on the site of the work, when specially ordered, including removing screened materials clear of screen and stacking in separate heaps for measuring (Materials from both sides of screen measured) complete all as directed.

M &L Hardcore broken stone or boulders of gauge n exc. 63mm, deposited, spread and levelled in layers n exc. 15 cm thick, watered and rammed to a true surface complete all as specified and as directed.

Labour only for filling with hardcore of broken stone aggregates of gauge n exc 63 mm deposited ,spread, and levelled in layers no exc 15 cm thick ,watered and rammed to a true surface complete all as directed.( Note: Road metal obtained from screening shall be reused in the filling works).

M&L for Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen of VG-10 grade @ 5 Kg. Per 10 Sq. Metres.complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for labour for premix bituminous macadam(Design Mix) with minimum 40-60 TPH bach type HMP using crushed stone aggregates of specified grading, premixed with VG-30 bituminous binder @ 4% by weight of total mix and cement as a filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finished to the required grade, level and alighnment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tindem roller to achieve the dezire compaction as per MORTH specification clause no 505 complete in all respects, (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) etc, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete, 30 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix by using Paving bitumen (VG-30 grade) as in semi dense asphaltik concrete mixed in hot mix plant, rolled with 8 to 10tonne power roller and compacted to required camber and gradient all as specified and as directed.

M& L for preparing bituminous surface of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre line,stop lines,dashes,arrows etc. and the like not exceeding 10 cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS-3262-1989 with special applicator machine fitted with pufill shoe glass beads dispenser pupane tank heater and profile shoe heater with heating arrangement upto 160 degree C driven by experienced operator all as per manufacturer instruction complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- 1. Unit rate quoted by the contractor include for provision of red signals to keep off trafic from work. cleaning road surface and working during odd hours when trafic is light. 2. The line marking shall stand out boldly and solidly without showing any signs of scrach marks or suefaces underneath, if necessary the surface shall be remarked after removal of existing treatment untill the desired result is obtained.
