Dismantling & taking out old unserviceable earthing pits including connected materials all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 metre wide and not exceeding 1.5 metre in deep and getting out in hard/dense soil for laying underground cable, foundation etc all as specified and as directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600mm x 600mm x 6mm thick burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 M deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 M below normal ground level connected to galvanised earth lead wire of size 4.0mm dia up to a length of 7.5 mtr long by means of nuts, bolts, checknuts, washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part I of 2009 connected to earthing test point or disconnecting / testing link including excavation/ earth work in any strata, removal of surplus soil, GI pipe medium grade 20mm dia for watering and funnel, GI Pipe medium grade 15mm dia for earth lead protection, PCC 1:3:6 type C1 bed and chamber & chamber cover RCC 1:2:4 type B1 with hinge, etc. all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 600mm x 600mm x3.15mm thick burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 M deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 M below normal ground level connected to copper strip of 20x3 mm up to a length of 7.5 mtr long by means of nuts, bolts, checknuts, washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part I of 2009 connected to earthing test point or disconnecting / testing link including excavation/ earth work in any strata, removal of surplus soil, GI pipe medium grade 20mm dia for watering and funnel, GI Pipe medium grade 40mm dia for earth lead protection, PCC 1:3:6 type C1 bed and chamber & chamber cover RCC 1:2:4 type B1 with hinge, etc. all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. Note for item Nos 4 to 7 : (a) Earthing value should be less than 5 ohms forl Sl No 4 to 6 and less than 2 ohms for sl No 7.

Supply, lay and installation of 10 mm copper bonded Round steel solid Conductor for ring earthing meet the requirements of IS/ IEC 62305 and IEC 62561-2 for type B Earthing, laid in trenches or fixed on walls /floors etc including provision of one copper bus bar at termination end on building/near equipment/DB/Panel complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge. Make : JEF type JIDC05 or as approved by E-in-C Branch/CE Southern Command. Note : (i) Exothermic joints, Soil excavation & returning filling will be measured and paid separately. (ii) Copper bonding thickness test of item No 8 to be carried out before laying in presence of Engr-in-Charge.

Supply of exothermic welding set for ring earthing meet the requirements of IS/ IEC 62305 and IEC 62561-2. Type B Earthing complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

Supply and fix Cable with copper conductor size 16 Sqmm PVC round sheathed (flexible) industrial cable single core green colour as earth continuity conductor suitable to connect with item No 7 above with suitable copper lugs and accessories complete all specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fix in repairs earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required 25x4mm strip galvanised iron complete all as specified and directed.

All same as per item No11 here-in-before but 4mm dia galvanised iron wire.

Supply and fix in repairs aluminium strip 25 mm x 3 mm complete with saddles and fixing screws etc for roof conductors and down conductors above ground level and fixing upto 20 mtr height including removing u/s strips complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs copper strip 20mm x 3 mm complete with saddles and fixing screws etc for roof conductors and down conductors above ground level and fixing upto 20 mtr height including removing u/s strips complete all as specified and directed.

All same as per item No 14 here-in-before but Galvanised iron strip 32 x 6mm

Repairs to strip of any material and any size by removing from saddles/holders/wall/roof and strengening the strip and refixing complete all as directed.

Supply and fix in repairs single pointed air termination aluminium rod, 12 mm dia, 300 mm long and fixing upto 20 mtr height complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs single pointed air termination copper rod, 12 mm dia, 300 mm long and fixing upto 20 mtr height complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair porcelain strip holder on wall and roof of suitable size including removing broken u/s one complete all as specified and directed. Note for item Nos 10 to 19 : (a) Item Sl Nos 10 to 19 will be repaired/relaced/fixed upto 25 mtr height on hangars/tech buildings/Over Head Water Tanks. (b) The exenditure on Ladder/Crane will be borne by the contractor and all rates deemed to be included the same.

M&L for earth indicators made of 2 mm thick MS sheet of oval/Triangular/Rectangular shape of size 30 cm x 20 cm duly fixed over MS angle iron of size 25 x 25 x 3mm in size 0.9 metre in total length and 30 cm embedded in below ground level and 60 cm above ground level and angle iron embedded in cement concrete of 1:3:6 type C-2, of size 30 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm painting the steel surfaces with two coats of red paint for chemical earpits and yellow paint for Lightining Arrester( LA), Power Supply(PS) earth pits over coat of red oxide and writing the earth pit indication in alphabets with black colour of 1 inch height and marking all as per the direction of Engr -in-Charge and including necessary earth work and returning filling and removal etc all as specified and directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fix in repairs earth chambers by demolishing unserviceable earth chambers and fixing new chambers of PCC 1:3:6 type C1 bed and chamber RCC 1:2:4 type B1 , iron grill incuding GI cover with hinge etc.as per electrical plate no.3 of SSR part-I.

Repairs to earth chambers by removing unserviceable earth chambers cover and fixing new GI cover with hinge all as specified and directed.

M&L for Test point terminal box made of gun metal or phosphorous bronze, size 75x75x25 mm drilled and screwd including 3 Nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long hexagonal head screw including removing the existing all as specified and directed.u/d test point terminalblock complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for recharging of normal earth pits by excavating the earth at a radius of 600mm from the centre from the earth pit and at a depth of 900mm after removing the earth chambers and accessories carefully and keeping aside for reuse including adding and spreading chemicals as given below in 75mm layers each as ground level and watering, refixing the earth chambers and accessories after allowing the soil to settle down complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in charge. (a) Charcoal 10 kg. (b) Salt 10Kg

M&L for Testing of exisiting earthing resistance with suitable digital Earth tester and recording the readings obtained and making the earthing good by pouring the salt water complete up to the satisfaction of the Engr-in-Charge. Note :- Value of earth resistance should be less than 1 Ohms for equipments earthing and less than 5 ohms for LA & Power Supply earthings.

M&L for Testing of exisiting earthing resistance with suitable digital Earth tester and recording the readings obtained. Note : A register will be maintained for building/establishment/section wise (for Equipment earthing, LA, Power etc) duly obtaining the sign of the user.

Removing of old un used PCC/RCC poles from existing place and throw the same withng 1 km radious all as directed by Engr-in Charge.

Supply and fix steel tubular swaged poles type 410 SP-31 (9.0 meter long) complete with CI base plate and finial including foundation and coping complete all as directed by Eng-in-cahrge.

M&L for PCC 1:4:8 type D2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate in foundation complete all as directed by Eng-in-cahrge.

M&L for PCC 1:3:6 type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate for stay and couping for poles including necessary form work to exposed surface finished smooth and even complete all as directed by Eng-in-cahrge.

Supply and fix cable route indicator made out of 3 mm thick ms sheet of size 20 cm x 15 cm duly painted with two coats black paint over a coat of red oxide primer and writing cable direction, capacity, size with white paint, mounted on angle iron 40x40x3 mm, angle height 45 cm, (30cm below ground level) with PCC 20cmx20cmx15cm all as specified and as directed by Engineer- in- charge.

Surface dressing in hard / dense soil not exceeding 15 cm deep and clearing all the grass weeds etc in the sub station yards after removing stone aggregate aside all as directed at site including setting / spreading back the aggregate including filling of river sand/ stone dust upto 15cm complete all as specified and directed at site. Note:- (i) Stone dust/river sand shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this schedule. (ii) The rate also deemed to be included for labour.

M&L for stone aggregate of size not exceeding 40 mm deposited spread and leveled in layers not exceeding 15 cm to a true surface of broken stones for transformer yard and pole structure area.

Supply spread dry river sand/stone dust on top surface of the installation area at technical and domestic area all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Material and Labour for writing pole number on street/perimeter/security light poles by using white and black colour complete all as specified and as directed. Note : (i) Pole number should be write by using white colour paint inside a circle of black paint size not less than 10 cm dia.

Supply and refilling of NOVEC-1230 fluid in cylinders of fire suppression system installed at various technical buildings all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and refilling of FM-200 fluid in cylinders of fire suppression system installed at various technical buildings all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Maintenance of Solar Control System of 1 MW Solar Power Plant, including recharging of postpaid sim cards (21 Nos) complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

Cleaning of substations located at domestic area once in a month as per Engr-in-charge's instructions by applying cloth for removing dirt on all the equipments located inside the sub stations and removing all the grass weeds/vegetation with roots or by applying spray of Herbicides. Note:-(i) Total 12 Nos E/M Sub Station/Installation cleaning will be carried out once in a month and the same will be measured as one job. (ii) The rate for labour/herbicides to be included in the quoted rate. (iii) The quoted rate shall also include the rate of materials like cottton, Broom, MAFF, Stick for mounting Broom, Phenol which are required for the cleaning of installations.
