Excavation in earth work in hilly area in all heights and depths in all kind of soil manual/ mechanical means including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock and all work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etcetra and to protect stability of hill side, the track shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, in conformit with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road, clause 1603.1 and 1603.2 of General Conditions for Contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal & dumping to be arranged by the contractor of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner, trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for smooth riding. The recovery for stones, whether useful or not, for 360.554 cum (Six thousand one hundred seventy three point two seven Cubic Metre) shall be in all cases @ rupees 170/- only (Rupees One hundred Seventy Only) per Cubic meter shall be effected on pro-rata basis. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall compensated by him in all cases.

Excavation in soil in Hilly Are by manual means including cutting and trimming of side slopes and disposing of excavated earth with in all leads and lifts as per drawing and Technical Specification Clause 1603.1 and as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Earthwork in excavation for all type of road structures such as retaining walls, breast walls, culverts, drains and parapets etcetra in all type of classification of soil comprising of ordinary soil, ordinary rocks, hard rocks, chiselling/wedging out of rocks (where blasting is prohibited) as per drawing and MORD technical specifications Clause 305.1, 1104 and 1606.1 and as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious material and disposal of materials upto all leads and lifts including dressing of sides and bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated suitable approved materials to the original surface in layers not exceeding 150mm (One Hundred Fifty milimetres) compacted thickness including shorting and strutting and pumping and bailing out water (surface and sub soil water) upto all depth and any quantum of water including cleaning of slush which may arise out during dewatering as per the direction of Engineer-In-Charge and including of carriage of materials with in all leads and lifts.

Providing and laying plaincement concrete Grade M-15 (fifteen) nominal mix 1:2.5:5 (One cement : two point five sand : five graded crushed stone aggregate 20mm (Twenty millimeter) nominal size) concrete for plain/ reinforced concrete in open foundatins complete including form work as per drawing and MORD Technical Specification Clause 802,803,1202 & 1203 and as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Providing and laying concrete for plain/ reinforced concrete 1:4:8 (One cement : four sand : eight graded crushed stone aggregate 25mm (Twenty millimeter) nominal size) in open foundations complete as per drawing and Technical Specification clauses 802, 803, 1202 & 1203 and as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Providing and laying plain cement concrete 1:5:10 (One cement : five sand : ten graded crushed stone aggregate 40mm (Forty millimeter) nominal size) and curing complete including the cost of form work for plain/ reinforced concrete in foundation and substructure as per drawing and MORD Technical Specification Clause 802, 803, 1202 and 1203 and as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Providing and laying concrete 1:6:12 nominal mix (One cement : six sand and twelve graded crushed stone aggregate 40mm (Forty millimeter) nominal size) for plain/reinforced concrete in open foundations complete as per drawing and Technical Specification clause 802, 803, 1202 & 1203 and as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge, including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Supplying, fitting and placing TMT bars reinforcement (Fe four hundred fifteen) including cutting, bending, straightning and coast of binding wire in superstructure complete as per drawing and MORD technical specification clauses 1002, 1005,1010and 1202 and as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Providing weep holes in brick masonry /stone masonry/plain reinforced concrete abutments, wing wall, return wall,with 100mm (One hundred millimeter) dia PVC pipe extending through the full width of the structures with slope of 1(v):20(H) towards drawing face complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 614,709,1204.3.7,including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts, as per PWD specifications and as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Back filling behind abutment, wing wall and return wall and retaining wall with granular material complete as per drawings and Technical Specification Clause 1204.3.8 and as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Providing and laying of boulder apron laid in wire crate with 4mm dia (Four millimeter diameter) GI wire conforming of IS:280 and IS 4826 in 100mm x 100mm (One hundred millimeter into one hundred millimeter) mesh (woven diagonally) including 10 (Ten) percent extra for laps and joints laid with stone boulders weighing not less than 25 kg (Twenty five kilogram) each as per drawing and Technical Specification Clause 1301 and as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Providing and laying flooring laid over cement concrete bedding of rubble stone laid in cement mortar 1:3 (One cement : three sand) complete as per drawings and MORD Technical Specification Clause 1303 and as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Providing and laying reinforced cement concrete pipe NP-2 900mm (Nine hundred millimetre) dia for culverts on first class bedding of granular material in single row including fixing collar with cement mortar 1:2 (One cement : two sand) but excluding excavation, protection work, back filling, concrete and masonry work in head walls and parapets clause 1108 and as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Preparation of subgrade by dressing to camber (earth work for the cutting involved for sub grade to be paid for separately depending upon the classification of soil) completed, as per HP.PWD specificatins and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Consolidation of sub grade with road roller including making good the undulations etc. with earth or quarry soil etc. and rerolling the sub-grade completed as per HPPWD Specifications and as per the Engineer-in-charge within all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Stone soling properly hand-packed filling interstices with Kharanja stone and consolidating with power road roller to the required gradient and camber including spreading watering and rolling of binding materials moorum or earth etc. complete as per MORD specification. 150mm (One hundred fifty millimeter) spread thickness (finished work including materials and labour)and as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Construction of unlined surface drain of average cross-sectional area 0.4 Sqm. (Zero point four square metre) In ordinary rock to specified lines, grades. Level and dimensions as per approved design and Technical Specification Clause 307. Excavated material to be used in embankment at site by Mechanical means, including carriage of materials through all modes of transportation with in all leads and lifts, as per PWD specifications and as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge.
