Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 m deep and not exceeding 1.5 m wide and getting out in hard/dense soil for laying cable.pipes ,pole foundationetc all as directed

Excavation in trenches depth exceeding 1.5 m not exceeding 3.0 m deep and not exceeding 1.5 m wide and getting out in hard/dense soil for pole foundation etc all as directed.

Returning, filling in soil including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick

Removing the excavated surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5m above the starting point.

Supply, lay / spread in trenches, river sand including cleaning, spreading, levelling, punning for laying /cushioning of cable all as specified and as directed. Note: Punning thickness shall be measured and paid.

Supply, lay in trenches burnt Bricks, old size, Sub class "B" for cable protection all as specified and directed.

Relaying of old serviceable bricks of any size removed from old cable trenches laid across trenches for cable protection.

Cutting, trimming and prunning of trees/tree branches of any girth upto 4m all around existing LT/HT over head lines including cleaning the disturbed area beneath the LT/HT overhead lines and removing the tree/ tree branches and debris from site and depositing where directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: (a) All the LT/HT over head line shall be kept clean through out the contract period by repeatedly cutting trimming of trees as and when grows and as required and directed by Engineer-in-Charge depending on the growth of the tree . However measurement shall be measured and paid only once during entire contract period.contractor shall quote his rate accordingly. (b) Approximate span between poles shall be 45 to 60m.

Taking down old serviceable conductors of any description and re-stringing/ tightening of ACSR conductor (squirrel/ weasel/ ferret) / GI earth continuity conductor/ cradle up to the permissible sag limit between any span length and binding with new binding wire of the same materiel to insulators all as specified and as directed. NOTE:Approximate span between poles shall be 45m to 60m.

Dismantling old and unserviceable copper/ACSR conductor of any size / including disconnecting from the poles and depositing where directed.

S&F ACSR conductor of any size including binding on existing LT/ HT poles or new poles with 02mm dia aluminium binding wire including jumper all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge . Make of ACSR : ICC/ NICCO/ BHARAT CONDUCTORS.

Supply, fabricating and fix mild steel cross arms (any type) supports, bracing, stiffner etc made out of MS channel, angle iron , flat iron of any size including drilling of holes, making clamps, eye hooks, nuts, bolts and washers etc including necessary welding if required and painting with two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of red oxide paint all as directed

M&L for loop type insulator, porcelain vitreous white or brown, with overall dimensions of 65mm x 90mm, clearance of hole 16mm all as specified and as directed including taking out old unserviceable insulator.

M&L for stay assembly complete with all accessories as shown in Electrical plate No. 1 of SSR Part-I all as specified and as directed including GI stay rod 20 mm dia 2150 mm long, MS stay plate of size 300 x 300 mm, 6mm thick GI stay bow including necessary bolts & nuts etc complete. Note : Excavation, foundation concrete, stay wire, clamps and loop insulator shall be measured and paid separately.

Note: [a] Earth work, excavation sand cusioning, bricks for protection, GI pipe, LT UG Cable Joints etc shall be measured separately under relevant items of this schedule . [b] Defective portion of cable shall be removed, serviceable cable shall be re-laid and balance with new LT U/G cable .(C) New LT UG cable shall be measured and paid as Supply only LT UG cable under schedule /BOQ item No 33 of this schedule.

Taking down carefully the existing defective street light / security light/ flood light fitting (LED/HPSV/MH/CFL) of any type/ make/ wattage from any height of pole/building alongwith fixing arrangements complete for servicing by checking and find out defective parts such as lamp/choke/ignitor etc and replace the same with new parts including minor repairs and provision for lamp holder, PVC insulated copper wire with in the fittings ,screws, bolts, nuts washers etc required to make the fitting serviceable and cleaning the fitting,perpex cover,bowl etc and refixing the fittings in its original position and testing fitting after installion .

NOTE FOR SL. IEM NO 36:

(a) Major spare for LED/HPSV/MH/CFL light fittings such as driver/lamps/choke/ignitor etc required for making fitting serviceable shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item.

(b) Quoted rate shall be inclusive for minor spares such as lamp holder,pvc copper cable for wiring with in the fitting ,necessary srews,bolts,nuts,washers etc and any other items required for making fitting serviceable

(c) Tools and plant,vehicle with necessary ladder arrangements etc required for taking down and refixing the fitting shall be arranged by the contractor on his own and vegetation on pole shall be cleared off and rate quoted shall deemed to be inclusive of above provision.

(d) Contractor shall depute his representative with one electrician once in week or as and when demanded by Engineer-in-Charge to carry out joint inspection for checking / functioning of street/ security lights in the entire area covered under contract to ascertain the serviceability and working condition of perimeter lights and the cost deemed to be included in the quoted rate.The rate quoted deemed to included for cleaning of vegitation on the LT pole.

Contractor shall depute one electrician and sufficient helper on all working days for receiving and attending complaints regarding the street light at MES complaint cell and the cost deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

Supply and fix GI brackets made out of GI pipe 40mm bore ,1.50 metre long ,bend to shape required including necessary MS clamps ,nuts ,bolts etc required for fixing street light fitting on top of the poles and taking down the existing GI brackets all as specified and directed
