WORK SERVICES FOR COMPREHENSIVE MAINTENANCE OF FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM, HANGER LAMPS, EARTHINGS AND ALONG WITH CONNECTED WORKS AT TECHNICAL BUILDING AT AFS PANAGARH

Material and Labour for providing "All -in -All '' comprehensive maintenance through M/s STERLING AND WILSON PVT LTD Kolkata, who have disigned, assembled, programmed, installed and commissioned the complete installation or their authorized service provider, subject to submission of MoU with the M/s STERLING AND WILSON PVT LTD Kolkata stating that they will provide all the assistants to the agencies for the subject work, for a period of twelve months for complete Fully automatic engine start system Fire Fighting Pump sets (electrical and diesel driven), fire water sprinkler system, Water base Alcohol-Resistant Aqueous Film Forming Foams (AR-AFFF) based Fire Suppression System, Fire Hydrant System, Addressable Fire alarm system, Intelligent Fire Alarm Control panel, Addressable Smoke-cum heat detectors, including preventive maintenance/servicing, attending complaints, replacement of worn out/defective components, complete all as specified in Particular Specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Note For Srl Item No 1 : (i) The Contractor agrees to provide the following comprehensive services arising out of wear and tear of the normal usage of all the complete fire fighting accessories. (ii) Preventive and Corrective Maintenance : Only main installer i.e M/s STERLING AND WILSON PVT LTD Kolkata or their authorized service provider shall visit the site once in a month for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on all the units installed at site. This includes maintenance of all mechanical, electrical and electronic parts / sub-assemblies. The preventive maintenance report will be as per the manufacturer's instruction and as specified in Particular Specification. The contractors can claim payment on monthly basis. In that case the payment shall be made with pro-rata basis on quoted rates. (iii) Breakdown Maintenance : The authorised service representative of main installer i.e M/s STERLING AND WILSON PVT LTD Kolkata or their authorized service provider will carry out all breakdown maintenance after receiving information (written or oral) from GE(AF) Panagarh officials or their representatives,

Note for Srl Item No 1 (Contd....) The main installer i.e M/s STERLING AND WILSON PVT LTD Kolkata or their authorized service provider will carry out the required repairs of the units and inform office about the status of site. No payment shall be made on this account of any breakdown service during comprehensive maintenence period. (iv) Breakdown maintenance calls will be attended within a maximum of 24 hours of the receipt of the complaints. (v) In case the complaints are not attended/resolved within the stipulated time as per the clause No (iv), the Contractor is liable to pay Rs.1000/- per unit per day till such time the unit is attended/resolved.(vi) The Contractor will employ trained service engineers / technicians certified by their principal OEM for the service under this comprehensive maintenance period. (vii) The Contractor will also maintain service reports for all visits & breakdown visits & copy of the same will be submitted every month.(viii) The cost of the above are deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (ix) The bidders are requested to visit the work site before quoting. (x) Cost of worn out / defective components will be paid and measured separately under Prime Cost Sum.

M&L for Earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 600 x 600 x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 meter below normal ground level connected to GI earth lead 25 x 4 mm dia by means of bolts nuts, check nut and washers of GI and GI tubing 32 mm bore, light grade for earth lead protection up to main earth test point and including concrete pit in PCC (1:3:6) typeC 1 pre cast RCC (1:2:4) type B1 cover slab 450 x 450 x 50 mm with one handle for lifting made out of 8 mm dia MS bar, wire mash, 20 mm bore GI tubing(L. G.) for watering ,charcoal or coal and salt in alternate layers including excavation earth work complete all as specified and directed Electrical Plate No. 3 of SSR Part-I.

Taking down carefully Aluminium roof/down lightning conductors of any size fixed on the building/Hanger of any height and refixing the same at proper position as directed with necessary new galvanised steel bolts, nuts & washers and insulators etc. (Note: Bidders are requested to visit the site before quoting rate for the item) .

M&L for earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other position for loop earthing etc. as required with 25 x 4mm galvanised iron strip complete including taking down the existing all as specified and as directed.

M&L for earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other position for loop earthing etc. as required with 20 x 3mm copper strip complete including taking down the existing all as specified and as directed.

Supply and Fixing in repairs test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze of size 75x75x25mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos. 8mm dia 25mm long hex. head screw complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and Fixing in repairs Aluminium strip 25 x 3.15mm with saddles and fixing screws etc. for roof conductors and down conductors above ground and on the building/Hanger of any height complete all as specified and as diected.

Fixing only LED flood light luminaire 500 watt capacity with necessary fixing arrangement with suitable sizes of galvanised steel bolts,nuts and washers at 26m height High Mast pole including commissioning and testing complete all as specified and as directed, inclding taking down the existing unserviceable lamp fitting of any capacity/make. (Note : 500W LED flood light fittings will be issued under Schedule 'B' free for fixing only.)

Supply and replace maintenance free lead acid batteries of 12V 180AH for Diesel driven pump set including testing for its satisfactory operation complete all as specified and as directed. (Make: Amaron/Exide/NICCO/Furkuwa)

Providing successful demonstration of fire hydrant system (Mock drill) on monthly basis including cleaning the premises after mock drill complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing successful demonstration of Alcohol Resistant Water base Aqueous Film Forming Foams (AR-AFFF) based Fire Suppression System (Mock drill) on quarterly basis including cleaning the permises after mock drill and handed it over so that regular operation will be carried out, complete all as specified and as directed (Note: AR-AFFF will be measured and paid separately under Prime Cost Sum).

Providing successful demonstration of fire alarm system/ fire sprinkling system (mock drill) on quarterly basis including cleaning the permises after mock drill and handed it over so that regular operation will be carried out, complete all as specified and as directed.

Prime Cost Sum:- The prime cost is to be used as directed by the Accepting Officer vide condition 1 (v) and 5 of IAFW-2249 of General Condition of Contract forming part of the tender documents. (a) Provide a prime cost of Rs 522000.00 for supply of spare parts of complete fire alarm and fire fighting system after dismantling and convening Board of Officers by the Accepting Officer. The material shall be procured directly from the OEM aurhorised dealer or as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (b) Contractor quoted rate shall be deemed to include for overheads and profit and all taxes and insert amount to cover all. However, quoted amount shall not exceed 15% (Fifteen Percentage) of estimated amount. In case, the contractor quoted amount is in excess of 15% of the estimated amount, the same shall be restricted to 15% and the amount quoted shall be corrected accordingly to work out the contract sum.

Notes :- (i)To exucute the work in all respect, the Contractor shall arrange suitable type of hydraulic/telescopic ladder for easy access to carry out the total work for such height as specified at his own and the quoted unit rate shall be deemed to include for the same. No extra claim will be admissible on this ground. (ii) The Quoted sum shall be arrived at after deducting amount of “Sch of Credit” from the total amount of the ‘BoQ’
