TENDER FOR FACE LIFTING OF CENTENARY BUILDING AT CHENNAI PORT

1.Chipping thoroughly the existing ceiling plastering and wall surfaces to a required thick of all floors at centenary building without disturbing the existing structure near by and conveying the debris within a lead of 50m all as directed at site of work and wherever necessary required including all labour, tools, transport, material, equipments, safety belts, helmet, safety shoes, etc., complete.

2.Chipping thoroughly the existing damaged RCC fins plastering to a required thick of all floors at centenary building without disturbing the existing structure nearby and collecting, stacking the debris within a lead of 50m for disposal all as directed at site of work and wherever necessary required including all labour, tools, transport, material, equipments, safety belts, helmet, safety shoes, etc., complete.

3.Applying Reebaklens RR (Rust Remover) or equivalent for cleaning of reinforcement bars to give it a total rust free steel surface by using alkaline chemical rust remover of all floors and preparing the surface free from all dust particles and loose materials by using wire brush and applying Nitozinc primer (Fosroc) or equivalent protective coat of approved quality all as per manufacture specification and as directed at site of work. The rate shall include cost of materials, labour, brushes, tools, plant equipment, safety belts, helmet, safety shoes, transport, fuel etc., complete. NOTE: The payment will be made only for actual surface area of reinforcement bars on which protective coating is applied.

4.Applying Epoxy resin bonding agent (Covering 2.20 Sqm/Kg - Nitobond Ep or equivalent) on existing cementitious surface of all floors at the top of existing concrete surface using short haired brush and applied on the old concrete surface to receive new finish/concrete/plastering all as per manufacture specification and as directed at site of work. The rate shall include preparing the substrate, mixing the compound, applying, cost of materials, labour, brushes, tools, plant, equipment, transport, safety belts, helmet, safety shoes, fuel etc., complete. NOTE: The new concrete/plastering shall be placed to the coated substrate, when it is in a tacky state.

5.Preparing the surfaces of damaged vertical fins slab & wall portion of all floors and plastering with cement mortar 1:3 (1cement : 3 crushed stone sand) 20mm thick to the required finish curing etc., wherever required all as per relevant specification and as directed at site of work including all labour, materials, curing, cement, tools, equipments, transport, safety belts, helmet, safety shoes, etc., complete.

6.Preparing the surfaces of existing ceiling and plastering with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 crushed stone Sand) 12mm thick to the required finish, curing etc., wherever required all as per relevant specification and as directed at site of work including all materials, cement, labours, curing, tools, equipments, transport, safety belts, helmet, safety shoes, etc., complete.

7.Dismantling and Removing the existing damaged rain water/sewer PVC pipes 110/75mm dia of all floors with all accessories, wherever required without damaging near by structures and handing over the retrieved materials if any to the Departmental stores/RSD yard and all as directed at site of work including all labour, tools, tackles, equipments, transport, safety belts, helmet, safety shoes, fuel etc., complete

8.Providing and fixing new rain water pipes of all floors with best quality rigid unplastisized PVC rain water pipe of 110mm outer dia and capable of withstanding pressure of 6kg/sqm with necessary special clamps made out of M.S.Flat 20mmx3mm with two coats of anti corrosive paint in masonry/ concrete cutting holes of size 100x100x100mm embedding the clamps in PCC 1:2:4( 1 Cement:2 Crushed stone sand: 4 stone aggregate of 6mm nominal size ) making good the disturbed portion of masonary/ concrete surface all as per specification and as directed at site of work , including all materials, necessary specials, cement, labour, tools, tackles, equipments, transport, safety belts, helmet, safety shoes, fuel etc., complete.

9. Providing and fixing new rain water pipes / AC water line pipe of all floors with best quality rigid unplastisized PVC water pipe of 75mm outer dia and capable of withstanding pressure of 6kg/sqm with necessary special clamps made out of M.S.Flat 20mmx3mm with two coats of anti corrosive paint in masonry/ concrete cutting holes of size 100x100x100mm embedding the clamps in PCC 1:2:4( 1 Cement:2 Crushed stone sand: 4 stone aggregate of 6mm nominal size ) making good the disturbed portion of masonary / concrete surface all as per specification and as directed at site of work, including all materials, necessary specials , cement, labour, tools, tackles, equipments, transport, safety belts, helmet, safety shoes, fuel etc., complete.

10. Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side for carrying out repair/improvement works of dismantling existing damaged ceiling / fins/ rain water pipes and providing new one at required floor level and up to terrace of the Centenary Building while fixing / dismantling without damaging the nearby structures around Centenary Building and wherever required up to 45m height (approx) with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joining with cup & lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc. wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen, including removing the scaffolding with platform after completion of works without disturbing the office premises and all as directed at site of work including all covering the working area with suitable green safety monofilament net cost of materials labour materials tools equipments, transport, fuel, safety belts, helmet, safety shoes, etc complete. Note (1) Scaffolding will be measured elevational area only one time for entire repair /improvements (length x height) shall be measured for payment purpose. (2) 75% of payment may be relaeased after erecting of scaffolding in all respect. (3) The balance 25% of payment may be released after completion of improvement works and removal of scaffolding.
