O&M of Fire Fighting- Part B

Operation and maintenance of complete fire-fighting system installed in Indian Oil, PL HO Complex comprising of fire hydrant network, sprinkler system network, fire pump room equipments & control panels including associated pipings, fittings, accessories etc. AND operation of Public Address System and micro-processor based Fire Detection & Alarm System installed at all floors of the building. Maintenance job also includes routine maintenance of all types of fire-extinguishers with periodical servicing and refilling the extinguishers and repairs/replacement of the defective/wornout parts (cost of spares shall be paid extra) on as & when required basis, in line with IS procedures; proper cleaning/ oiling/ greasing/ polishing of the brass parts; maintaining records of all the activities carried out as per Scope of Works mentioned in tender documents. For operational activities, 1 fireman EACH shall be available round-the-clock in fire control room and fire pump room i.e. 2 firemen are required round-the-clock for operation purpose. All maintenance activities carried out during daytime (monday - saturday) by experienced technicians & helpers under supervision of a competent supervisor as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge / Site Engineer. However, in case of emergency, maintenance shall be carried out during odd hours and on sundays, holidays also, without any extra charges. 1(a). meeting statutory requirement towards minimum daily wages (Basic + DA/VDA) & its impact on PF & ELDI, ESI only for deploying minimum 01 no. of skilled Fire supervisor , 07 nos. of semi skilled Firemen and 01 Nos. of Un- skilled helper for providing above mentioned services and as per specifications. 1(b). meeting statutory requirement towards Leaves, gratuity and Bonus only for deploying minimum 01 no. of skilled supervisors, 07 nos. of semi skilled Firemen) and 01 Nos. of Un- skilled helper for providing above mentioned services as per specifications.

Charges towards Monthly Overheads/Consumables/cost of sundries like tools/tackles/ equipments,old dhoti/cleaning cloth,emery paper,CTC ,stationery,uniform(2 sets and one set leather black shoes with two pair socks and two sets of woolen full sleeve sweater per annum per workmen) ,contractor's profit including charges for all the associated services enlisted in tender except daily wages (Basic + DA/VDA) its impact on PF & ELDI, ESI, Leaves, gratuity and Bonus as per item no. 1 (a) & 1 (b) of SOR. Charges for daily wages (Basic + DA/VDA) its impact on PF & ELDI, ESI, Leaves, gratuity and Bonus are already covered under separate line items in BOQ2.
