Rectification of leakages in 100mm dia. MS Rising main of WSS Zakura 2nd which involves:- Road cutting and excavation of soil around the rising main in order to make the leaking spot visible and making the sufficient space available for rectifying the leaks.(The actual size of excavation and length with leakages spot shall be calculated after detecting the number of leaking spots in the rising main which presently is underground and invisible). Removing the dirt, dust and de-watering at leaking spots on the rising main pipe and delivery line junction. Welding the same by using standard welding electrodes. The job may require oxy-acetylene gas for the cutting and repairing then welding at leaking spots on the rising main. The job also includes providing and fitting of ‘C’ class pipe of appropriate length as per the site requirement to replace the damaged portion of the rising main pipe line (100mm) dia. The job further includes end to end welding of the same, if necessary. The job also includes arrangement of D.G set, gas cutter, service line involved in the job, labours for excavation of soil etc. The job includes testing of rising main on full load after repairing and followed by refilling back the excavated soil in the tranches manually or mechanically as per site requirement.

WSS Wani Mohallah & Mominabad Khonmoh

Rectification of leakage in 100mm dia M.S. Rising main at Water Supply Schemes Wani Mohalla Balhama and Mominabad Khonmoh by way of: a) Earth work excavation of size (3ft X 4ft X 8ft deep) by manual means at (02) different sports to identify the damaged and leaking spots. The Job includes excavation under all kinds of soil viz concrete surface, macadam, hard soil, inclined terrain. The job also includes complete dressing, backfilling and levelling of trench soil from WSS Wani Mohalla Balhama to its Service Reservoir.

b) Repair of existing damaged rising main of 100 mm dia. at different spots to plug the leakages by way of draining out the water from the 100 mm dia rising main by way of opening of already fitted washout system, dismantling the already laid pipes at cracked spots .The job includes the cutting of the 100mm dia damaged flanges of GI pipe using oxyacetylene gas cutter ,fitting of new flanges by way of two coats of welding on either side of the flange and using new nuts and bolts, rubber gasket as per site requirement. The job shall include arrangement of DG set along with the carrier vehicle to carry out necessary welding job at said locations. The Job shall further include arrangement of tools and tackle and skilled labours at WSS Wani Mohalla Balhama to its Service Reservoir.
