SPECIAL REPAIR/RE-WINDING AND OVERHAULING OF 1 X 4 MVA POWER TRANSFORMER AT OLD AMRITSAR CANTT UNDER GE AMRITSAR

Taking down defective transformer 4 MVA capacity (Areva make) (approx weight 16 ton ) from the platform after disconnecting all connectios from transformer and removing from power house with the help of suitable T & P including safe lifting of transformer and safety of the persons which are involving in this job i.e. from 66 KV yard and transport the 4 MVA transformer from power house to reputed repair workshop. In addition to above contractor will also be responsible for following without any extra cost :- (a) Safe carriage of transformer and accessories, safe loading and unloading at MES site and workshop. (b) The workshop for repair of transformer shall have prior experience of sucessfully repair of 66 KV similar rating transformer any make. Contractor shall submit the documentary evidence in this regard for aprooval of workshop by the GE before taking down the transformer. (c) All charges on account of transportation, toll tax etc. (d) Clearance from state/NHAI authorities, in case same are required due to large size of transformer. (e) Accidental and other insurances during transportation (f) Saftey of transformer and accessories during repair period at workshop. (g) Opening of top cover of the transformer by opening of nut bolts etc and lifting of core assembly to examine the damage of winding, coils etc. (h) Necessary arrangement for inspection of transformer by BOO. (i) Draining out of used oil i sincluded in the quoted rates. Oil drums and T&P required is to be arranged by the contractor without any extra cost. Note :- (a) BOO will be detailed by the Accepting Officer for strip inspection of the transformer (after opening) and assesing the damage to various componenets, weighing of coils of three limbs of tansformer, measuring size of the copper wire and quantity of transformer oil complete. Contractor shall intimate the same well in advance to GE so that BOO can be detailed by AO. (b) Any minor repair/ replacement of small defective parts shall also be done by the contractor without any extra cost.

Material and labour for cutting and removing the old burnt winding from all the limbs and replacement of primary winding (HV side) and secondary winding (LV side) of all limbs with new copper wound coils by using super enamelled superior quality copper wire of specifications as per transformer manufacturer instruction suitable for 4 MVA (Areva) with necessary insulation, including varnishing , supply & fixing of high tension (HT) material superior quality as per transformer manufacturer instruction for separating the HV to LV, LV to core winding of transformer coils for all three phases and drying of rewound three limbs etc complete all as specified and directed. Note: Engineer in charge will visit the workshop during the rewinding for checking of copper wire used for rewinding and weighing of each coil and checking of quality of insulation paper used.Make for copper wire :- Hindalco, Hindustan copper ltd. Note :- (i) Old material will be the property of the Contractor under relevant item of Schedule of Credit. Make of Copper wire :- Hindalco, Hindustan Copper Ltd

Supply and pouring in replacement of transformer oil with di electric strength 60 KV conforming to IS-335/1993 suitable for 4 MVA transformer, 66/ 11 KV complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Before charging of transformer at 66 KV Yard and after repair oil shall be got tested from Power Grid corporation of India/Government Lab for dielectric strength test and Dissolved Gas Analysis Test (DGA) and reports shall submitted. Cost of these tests shall deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (ii) Old material will be the property of the Contractor under relevant item of Schedule of Credit.

Demolition of wall of approx. 10 meter length, 2 metre high and reconstruction with brick(used/new) in CM 1:6 and plastering 15mm thick fair finish both side in CM 1:4 and periodical services as per existing complete all as specified. Note : Contractor may visit the site to ascertain the quantum of work before quoting the rates of the job.

Material and labour brazing material for fabrication/ brazing and associated work for connection of wire of 4 MVA transformer (Areva) capacity, 66/ 11 KV ,gasket sets complete by using superior quality gasket of 4 MVA Transformer in all respect all as specified and as directed.Old material will be the property of the contractor under relevant item of schedule of credit

Material and labour for drying of transformer body from inside including conservator to remove foreign particles, carbon deposits and re-assembling transformer 4 MVA capacity after rewinding of coils, pouring of transformer oils including any type of repairs T & P, equipments for testing of transformer, servicing of on load tap changer, cleaning of core/ any type of repair to core assembly, main tank & conservator tank, consumable items required during installation of transformer, testing of earthings, servicing & testing of buchhalz relay, servicing bushing CTs, WTI & OTI and to make transformer in serviceable condition complete in all respect and making transformer ready for testing of 66/ 11 KV in the presence of BOO for performing all routine tests to checking all the parameters as per IS -2026 in workshop completely shall be deemed to be included in quoted rate.

M&L for inspecting repair testing and commissioning of outdoor type , 66 KV SF-6 breaker including charging with approved gas if required at 66 KV Grid Sub station complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for inspecting repair, testing and commissioning of all C&R panel relay complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge including the following :- (a) IDMT RELAY. (b) Master Trip Relay. (c) Differential Relay. (d) All other miscellaneous relays including checking of all wiring circuit. Note: Tripping Mechanism as per transformer protection requirement shall be got done from Power Grid corporation /PSPCL before energizing the transformer.

Replacement of transformer breather as per existing size and capacity including filling of silica gel suitable for 4 MVA power transformer Areva make complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour for MS cross arms bracing, supports, clamps and back plate for fabrication of core clamping channels (if required after opening the transformer), fabricated from structural steel section including nuts, bolts and washers, welding, bending cold or hot drilling holes for bolts in any shape or size as indicated or directed and inclusive of one primer coat, one under coat and one finishing coat of paint complete all as specified and directed.

Supply ,fixing and testing Lightening arrester in replacement (if required at site after checking) non linear resistor type comforming to standard IEC : 60099-4 complete line with all fittings Transmission class, discharge class-2 nominal discharge current 10KA pressure relief current 40 KArms, Rated voltage 60 KVrms assembly suitable for 66 KV incl clamps, nuts, bolts & washers & connecting to earth with 32 x 6mm GI strip as per existing make and specification complete all as specified and directed.

Supplying, laying, jointing & testing 2.5 Sqmm 4 core PVC insulated, armoured electric cable with flexible stranded copper conductor, 1100 volts grade complete including taking down old unserviceable cable any type and size all as specified and directed.

Material & labour for preparing old painted surface of transformer by cleaning, removing the old paint by scratching with wire brush etc and applying with spray machine two coats of synthetic enamel paint of grey colour on external surfaces of the transformer and writing of letter HT / LT or HV / LV and SM / MES Nos complete all as specified and directed. Note: (i) The compressure / spray machine and other required necessary equipments shall be arranged by the contractor and quoted rates shall be inclusive of this aspect.

Supplying, laying, jointing & testing 2.5 Sqmm 6 core PVC insulated, armoured electric cable with flexible stranded copper conductor, 1100 volts grade complete including taking down old unserviceable cable any type and size all as specified and directed.

Material & Labour for inspecting repair testing and commissioning of HT/LT bushing including bushing CTs if required at 66 /11 KV Grid Sub station complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Repair /servicing of 66 KV outdoor type 3 Phases isolators installed at 66 KV swtich yard including minor repair of parts, oiling greesing , or any othre minor work required after checking the isolator etc complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for transportation the 4 MVA transformer (Areva) from workshop to 66 KV Substation, Old Cantt Amritsar. During the transportation, Contractor will be solely responsible for safe bringing back of this transformer without any damaging to the body of power transformer etc by using suitable heavy vehicle, loading at workshop and unloading on the platform of 66 kV substation and connecting 66 kV, 11 kV and other control and instrumentation connections as per standard practice complete all as specified and directed by Engineer- in-Charge. NOTE :- (a) All the precommissioning tests as per IS 2026 has to be carried out at power house by State Electricity Board Protection Department (PSPCL) and commissioning of transformer by the SEI in terms of IS-2026. Contractor shall make the necessary arrangements for the same (b) All the charges on account of testing of by state electricity board (PSPCL) and commissioning by SEI in presence of Engineer-in-charge are deemed to be included in the quoted rates all as specified. (c) During transportation accidental insurance shall be deemed to be covered from workshop to MES power house. (d) Completion will be issued after testing of transformer in presence of SEI.
