Earth work in excavation in foundations, trenches, etc. in all kinds of soils, not exceeding 2 metres depth including dressing of bottom and sides of trenches, stacking the excavated soil, clear from the edge of excavation and subsequent filling around masonry, in 15 cm layers with compaction, including disposal of all surplus soil, as directed within a lead of 30 metres.(HSR 6.6)

Earth filling under floors with surplus soil, excavated from foundation and taken only from oustside the building plinth, in 15 cm layers includings ramming watering and consolidating lead up to 30 metres (HSR 6.13(a)

Cement Concrete 1:8:16 with stone aggregate 40mm nominal size in foundation and plinth (HSR 10.28)

Cement concrete 1 : 1½ : 3 with stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size for reinforced concrete work for walls exceeding 20 cm thickness (straight and curved) beams,girders, stairs, columns, (square or rectangular) battens and lintels etc excluding steel rainforcement but including centring and shuttering, laid in position, complete in all respects.[HSR 10.86 + 10.95(a)]

Cement concrete 1:2:4 with stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size for reinforced concrete work in footings, strips, foundations, beams, rafts, pedestals and approach slabs of bridges etc, excluding steel reinforcement but including centring and shuttering, laid in position, complete in all respects.(For work upto 1.5 metres below ground level). [HSR 10.90+10.95a)

First class brick work laid in cement sand mortar 1:4 in first storey upto 4 metres above plinth level ( HSR 11.9)

12 mm thick cement plaster 1 : 4 on walls ( HSR 15.5 )

15mm thick cement plaster 1:4 on the rough side of single or half brick wall. (HSR 15.10)

Applying priming coat with cement primer in all shades on newly plastered or concrete exterior surface. (Note:- First quality paint of reputed make firm such as Goodlass-Nerolac, Berger, Garware, Jenson, Nicholson, Asian & Shalimar Shalimar Shall be used as approved by Engineer-in-charge in writing, Drum of paint shall be opened in presence of Engineer-in-charge). (HSR 16.25).

Providing two coats of exterior acrylic emulsion paint. (Note:- First quality paint of reputed make firm such as Goodlass-Nerolac, Berger, Garware, Jenson, Nicholson, Asian & Shalimar Shall be used as approved by Engineer-in-charge in writing, Drum of paint shall be opened in presence of Engineer-in-charge). [HSR 16.79 (b)].

Providing and applying two coats white cement based putty over plastered surface and grindling the surface smooth with sand paper to get an even and smooth finish including cost and carriage of all material, labour charges, scaffolding, sundries etc. complete. (Note:- reputed make Putty such as J.K./ Birla shall be used as approved by Engineer-in-charge). (HSR 16.81).

Steel reinfocement TMT bars FE-500 EQR/FE-500 D grade or more for R.C.C works, where not included in the complete rate of R.C.C. including strightening, bending, binding, wastage, overlaps, welded joints, spacer bars, chairs, stays, hangers and annealed steel wire etc. and placing in position complete in all respect for all heights / depths / storeys/basements etc. (HSR 18.22). Note:- Reinforcement shall be measured in length including hooks, if any, separately for different diameters as actually used in work, excluding overlaps, Wastage, overlaps, coulpings, welded joints, spacer bars, chairs, stays, hangers and annealed steel wire or other methods for binding and placing, shall not be measured and cost of these items shall be deemed to be included in the rates for reinforcement.

Earth work non plastic or Tibba Sand under floors/Road & Parking taken from outside of campus area with all lead and lift including loading, unloading, laid in 15 cm layer including ramming, watering, consolidating, compaction, and compensation of earth etc., complete in all respect as per the direction of engineer in charge. [NS]. (Any lead / lift) Note:- 1. In case of any difference in the unit & nomenclature of any of the HSR Items of Civil, P.H. work depicted in this DNIT and that given in HSR, the unit and nomenclature given in HSR shall be applicable. 2. Only reputed make material will be used (make/brand exhibited in HSR and exhibited in approved standard document) as approved by Engineer-in-charge, while executing various items/works at site.
