| 1.00EARTHWORK General Note (Applicable for Item 1,2,3 ): 1) The contractor at his own expenses shall put up the necessary shoring, strutting and planking or cut slopes with or without steps, to a safer angle or both with due regard to the safety of the personnel and works and to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge. No extra payment shall be made to the contractor for the same. 2) Lead to be measured from the nearest boundary of the building up to the respective point of disposal by shortest motorable route. 3) All treasures, artifacts, precious metals, utensils, whether ancient or modern, found during the excavation work, should be handed over by the Contractor to the Owner / Employer. 4) The contractor should also make sure that the wheels / tyres of the hauling vehicle are adequately cleaned with water prior to leaving the site so that no mud / dirt tracks are smudged during transit outside the site premises. 5) Selected top soil shall be stored in plot area if so directed by the Engineer-in-Charge 6) Rate for excavation in hard rock to include cost of chiseling (manual / mechanical) (wherever applicable) and breaking upto smaller pieces (average 230mm size) to rubble soling size or as directed. 7) Adequate steps must be adopted to safeguard environmental norms. 8) The contractor's scope shall include for proper study & investigation of the rock structure & assessment of the implications of excavation on the strata in the surrounding buildings. Any anomalies or discrepancies shall be reported to the Engineer-in-Charge before proceeding ahead for procuring approval from the Engineer-in-Charge. 9) The contractor’s quoted rate shall include for providing and maintaining necessary dewatering system comprising of pump sets of adequate capacity, flexible or hard drainage piping system to drain out pumped water & accumulated ground / rain water at locations approved by the Engineer-in-Charge-in-charge, all labour, plants & energy (fuel or electric as the case may be) as per the type of system & methodology approved and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge so as to ensure that the excavated pit is maintained dry . 10) Measurement : (i) The length and breadth of excavation shall be measured correct to the nearest cm. The depth of cutting shall be measured , correct to 5 mm, by recording levels for each layer of excavation before the start of the work and after the completion of the work. The cubical contents shall be worked out to the nearest two places of decimal in cubic metres. (ii) Excavation for basement raft at a depth of more than 1.5 metre from the NGL, all round excavation as shown in the drawings shall be measured for payment which shall be inclusive of allowance for centering and shuttering. Additional excavation beyond this limit shall be at the risk and cost of the contractor and shall not be measured for payment. On completion of the substructure work, the contractor shall dis-assemble the entire installed dewatering system and dispose it off. The rate quoted by the contractor shall be inclusive of necessary salvage value for the dewatering system. | ||||||

Work to be executed by an approved agency and specified guarantee for 10 (ten) years shall be furnished by the tenderer. Payment will be cleared only after submission of guarantee Note :1) Guarantee for the treatment for a period 10 (ten) years shall be submitted as per specifications. 2) The plinth area of the ground floor only shall be measured for payment excluding area of portico, chajja, ramp, shafts,etc. 3) Work shall be carried out by an approved specialised agency.

Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form for Vertical and horizontal fins, ledges Note (Applicable for shuttering works): (1) The rates for the above items shall include for providing all necessary holes, cutouts, slits and depressions, labour for fixing adequate pipe sleeves at all indicated locations etc. in formwork as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The formwork / shuttering for providing construction joints in concrete shall not be measured seperately and the contractor to include it in his quoted rate. (2) The shuttering (plywood panels / sheets) shall be so laid that the joints in both the directions are in one line, the pattern for which will be got approved. (3) The centering and shuttering, formwork shall be designed & submitted by the contractor to the Engineer-in-charge for approval prior to commencement of work. Form work shall be properly designed for self weight, weight of reinforcement, weight of fresh concrete, and in addition, the various live loads likely to be imposed during the construction process (such as workmen, materials and equipment). (4) Shuttering used shall be of sufficient stiffness to avoid excessive deflection and joints shall be tightly butted to avoid leakage of slurry. If required, rubberized lining of material as approved by the Engineer-in-charge shall be provided in the joints. Steel shuttering used for concreting should be sufficiently stiffened. The steel shuttering should also be treated with mould oil prior to erection, properly repaired before use, properly cleaned to avoid stains, honey combing, seepage of slurry through joints etc. The form work shall be so assembled as to provide for necessary camber as approved by the Engineer-in-Charge. (5) Only steel staging system (of approved quality & design) shall be used for all structural /RCC work for all floors at all levels / heights. (6) All surfaces adjacent to EPs, etc., shall be in true line and level & irregularities, if any, shall be rounded by mechanical grinding, chisseling, finishing the same using epoxy silica sand mortar or non-shrink grouts as applicable at no extra payment. (7) The completed form work including the alignment, levels, profile etc. shall be inspected and approved by the Engineer-in-Charge before the reinforcement bars are placed in position. (8) Temporary shuttering used as stopper in concreting shall not be measured for payment. (9) Provision of through & through bolts / sleeves in external concrete walls,vaults, columns for centering / shuttering & scaffolding shall not be permitted. Through and through tie rods will not be allowed in leak tight structures. (10) The through & through bolts in RCC walls shall be monolithic having cup & cone system as per specific design requirements with prior approval of the Engineer-in-Charge. (11) The contractor shall design, fabricate, assemble and erect aluminium staging in areas wherever SS lining are indicated in the drawing. The contractor shall provide his design related documents & shop drawings including the grade, size, thickness & finish of the aluminium sections adopted for such staging for obtaining approval from the Engineer-in-Charge prior to the commencement. (12) The contractor shall ensure for provisions of adequate safety measures such as handrails, platform, safety nets etc. during the course of execution to facilitate safe means of access at no extra cost to the Owner.
Extra over Item formwork for staging / additional height in centering,shuttering in suspended floors, roofs, landing, high bays, beams and balconies or wherever required with adequate bracing, propping etc. including cost of deshuttering and decentering at atl levels, over first floor.(Plan area to be measured for payment) Staging / additional height in centering, shuttering for every 1.00 m thereof over first floor (3.2m above plinth)
Providing and laying in position cement concrete of 1:3:6 (1 cement, 3 coarse sand, 6 graded stone aggregate of maximum size 20 mm) including consolidation, finishing curing etc. complete as per specificationsand drawings but excluding the cost of Form work shuttering, centering Complete at all levels, all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

The rate shall also include providing and placing in position 2nos of 8mm dia bars at every third course of the masonry work.
Providing and constructing Random Rubble masonry using approved Rubble stone in foundation and plinth in C.M 1:6 (using crushed sand) including raking out joints or simultaneous flush pointing below ground level / plinth level, curing etc.complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
REINFORCEMENT AND STRUCTURAL STEEL Providing and fixing Railings, hand rails using 304 grade Stainless Steel pipes of approved size (as specified below) and make and quality by welding, mirror / matt polishing , fixing at site etc. for balcony railing & staircases railing including special sections as per drawings, specifications complete. The sample to be fabricated and to be got approved by the Engineer before starting of work at site .
Providing Structural steel work in M.S Plain Plates and chequered plate for Embedded Parts, Trench Covers, Connection plates etc.including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved zinc chromate steel primer etc.including cost of structural steel Plates, welding all labour charges etc. complete as per drawings and specifications. Pressed Galvanized steel confirming to IS 277 with the following specifications. The recommended fire doors shall be tested at CBRI or ARAI for maximum rating of 2 hours with vision panel. MISCELLANEOUS Providing and fixing G.I. chicken mesh in the junctions of concrete & brick work / masonry or as directed by the Engineer in charge including cutting, fixing with nails in position before plastering complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. (only area of the chicken mesh used alone will be measured)
Providing and Fixing in position Suspended false ceiling system using 600 x 600mm Calcium Silicate Ceiling tiles (AEROLITE ceiling systems) Tiles having 15mm densified edges and 100% humidity resistance, incombustible as per BS476 part IV with thermal conductivity of 0.043 w/m KC and approvred surface design and edge profile (TEGULAR/ SPINTONE) placed in a suspended grid of size of 600 x 600mm made of hot-dipped G.I steel sections having an exposed surface capping of pre-finished baked polyester painted coil wherein the main tee of size 24mm x 38mm x 0.33mm shall be suspended at 1200 mm centres along the length of ceiling with 4mm dia G.I wire with necessary level adjusters and cross tees of size 24 x 28 x 0.33mm x 1200 mm shall be inserted in to slots between the main tees at 600mm centres and thereafter in direction vertical to the longer tees, cross tees of size 24 x 28 x 0.33mm x 600mm shall be inserted to form a grid size of 600 x 600 mm resting on the perifery walls on wall angles of size 20mm x 20mm x 3000 mm x 0.40 mm thickness. The rate shall include providing necessary openings for light fixtures, diffusers, trap doors etc to be made as per layout drawings. The work shall be carried out as per directions of Engineer-in-charge. The main tees to be suspended from the ceiling/ soffit with the help of matal dash fastners of 6mmx50mm, soffit clits of 25mmx35xxx1.60mm and 4mm dia G.I wire with galvanised spring steel levelling clips. the entire grid system shall be designed to bear a distributed load of minimum 15 kg/Sq.m (Only calcium silicate false ceiling area will be measured for the purpose of payment) AEROLITE tile models of Fine Fissured
