Refractory application in PG Boiler
Refractory dismantling and application : Dismantling of existing Refractory at hot spot locations up to shell surface and removal of damaged refractory along with damaged lugs as required, surface preparation along with marking and welding of SS-310 lugs as per the drawing. Application of Refractory with gunning/manual/pumping including all the tools & tackles, equipments such as pan mixers, vibrators, all framework/shuttering etc to complete the job as per instructions of Engineer-In-Charge for refractory casting as per the drawing(circumference)for the rectification of Hot spot areas in PG Boiler of HGU plant. The detailed drawing with location of the hot spots have been mentioned in the drawing (Annexure-A). The tentative surface area of refractory replacement/repair job is around 2.0 to 2.50sqm. However, actual area may be more/lesser than the above said area and the job has to be carried out as per the actual site conditions. The refractory material to be used at both layers (Hot face/Erosion layer and Insulating cast able/bottom layer) shall be supplied by the owner (IOCL). "Supply of lugs SS-310 wherever damaged" are in the scope of Agency and it should be as per the drawing. Electric power and plant air for pneumatic breakers are in scope of owner (IOCL).
Drying out Refractory work of up to the required time period & Temperature, including all consumables like fuel, Mechanical blind, external insulation etc. and other all tools, tackles & consumables involved in the procedure for drying out of refractory. Procedure for dry out is to be submitted and get it approved from Engineer in charge before carrying out the job.
