Excavation in trenches any type of soil, n exc 1.5m wide and n exc 1.5m in depth, for foundation, etc or for shaft, well, cesspits, manholes , pier hole etc n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out for laying of cable complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

Returning, filling in including, spreading , levelling , watering and well reamming in layers not exc. 25 cm complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

M&L for Sand filling under flooors, in trenches or in foundation for cable protection including and consolidation complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

M&L for removing excavated material n.exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for providing cement concrete type C:2, 1:3:6, using 40 mm stone aggregate as in foundation, roof, kerb or mud stops, rounded or chamfered on edges complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

M&L for boring hole across the road/plinth/hard standing by trench less technology method suitable for up to 100 mm bore pipe for 0.4 mpa working pressure for cable passing without damaging Road/plinth/floor complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge. Note : GI tubing shall be measured and paid under respective items.

S&F un-reinforced precast concrete cable cover class HVP type 1 with peak, size 300mmx180mmx40mm laid flat length of cover across the length of cable and old US PCC cover to be disposal off 100 mtr away from the site complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

Taking out old unserviceable under ground HT cable upto 185 sqmm from trenches/floor/ road/pipe/along poles including taking out old bricks PCC cable cover complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- Excavation, earth work shall be measured and paid under respective items of BOQ.

Supplying, laying, jointing and testing XLPE insulated,screened,PVC beded, galvanised steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cables (heavy duty)with aluminium conductor HT cable 11000 volts grade with cross sectional area 95 Sqmm 3 core laid in trenches/ ducts/ along poles/ through pipes complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in- charge. Note: Excavation & earth work shall be measured & paid under respective item of BOQ.

Laying only HT UG Cable of size 3 Core , 95 to 185 Sqmm, 11000 V grade PVC/XLPE insulated, PVC sheathed armoured conductor laid in trenches/Road/paths/ on poles through GI protection pipe complete including connection of cable at both ends with suitable size of glands, aluminium lugs complete joining, testing and commissioning including disconnecting and removing existing UG Cable complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge. Note: (a) HT UG Cable shall be laid against retrived Serviceable cable under relavent itemsof the schedule. (b) Earth work for the cable removing, laying measured and paid separately under relevent items of the schedule.

Laying only old HT cable cover full size of useful obtained from excavation against cable shifting/rerouting complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

M&L for disconnecting HT & LT side cables of follwing indoor/outdoor transformer of capacity 50 KVA to 400 KVA and earth strip from body and neutral of transformer mounted on two pole/four pole structure/staging/sub stn and taking down the transformer manually/using mechanical means and lifting loading and transportation to MES store yard/site to civil workshop for repair and opening of covers,draining out existing transformer oil,lifting of core,cleaning oil tank using chemicals,cleaning of core after removing HT/LT winding,re-assembling of new HT/LT windings with core varnishing heating and bringing back the same after repairs to the same point all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note: (i) Rewiding of HT/LT coil any type/material, dehydration of transformer oil reassembling after repair etc.will be measured and paid seperately under relevant item of the schedule. (ii) Spare part shall be deemed to included in the quoted rate of the above items. (iii) Contractor have to install and fix the repaired transformer within 15 days from date of handed over to contractor, if contractor fails to fix and install the transformer within said time period penalty of Rs. 500 /per day will be charged from the contractor for the delay caused and will be deducted from payment. (iv) Contractor have to supply the transformer of same capacity (transformer taken for the repair) to the MES for uninterruption of electric supply. Transportation, installation and connection of the same will be arrange by the contractor. All charges are deemed to be included in the item rate quoted by contractor.

M&L for re-winding of 11 KV HT/LT coils with super enemelled best quality copper wire of existing guage with superior quality insulation material for transformer of capacity upto 400 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note : The rewinding of transformer shall be done only after the inspection and certifiaction by representative of GE declaring the old winding of transformer as unserviceable in writing.

Supply and fixing in replacement of ceramic LV bushing as per existing size/model complete with bushing stud (brass metal) for transformer of capacity 50 KVA to 200 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and fixing in replacement of ceramic LV bushing as per existing size/model complete with bushing stud (brass metal) for transformer of capacity 315 KVA to 400 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Dehydration and filteration of exisitng transformer oil for transformer of any capacity using centrifugal plant to eliminate foreign particals and to improve die electric strength not less than 40 KV for one minute in 2.5 mm electrode gap as per relevant IS and to bring the acidity within the permissible limit complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note: (i) Transformer oil required for toping up shall be measured and paid for seperately under respective item of BOQ. (ii) Oil sample are to be collected from top and bottom of the tank and test results to be submitted by the contractor for each sample before and after dehydration and filteration. (iii) Dehydration and filteration of transformer oil shall be carried out by the dehydration machine at site.

Supply and topping up to filling of fresh transformer oil conforming to IS-335 having die electric strength not less than 50 KV in existing transformer installed at different locations complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-n-charge.

Supplying and refixing in replacement silica gel cork breather rubberised gasket, 5mm thick including silica gel for transformer of capacity 50 KVA to 400 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Enginer-in-charge. Note : Colour of silica gel should be deep sky blue.

Taking out old unserviceable drain cocks from the transformers and Supply and fix new gun metal gate valve 25 mm bore along with brass/ gun metal dummy cap with rubbber washers as required at site complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

M & L for preparation of old painted surfaces of 11KV/433V step down transformers of capacity 50 KVA to 160 KVA including removing oilly and greasy spots, cleaning stains, spots with thinner and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint in all sides by using spray machine including white wash to transformer foundation plinth and lettering MES NO/SM No, capacity, year of installation, serial No in block letters with white paint complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

All as per Ser item No 40.00 above but transformer of capacity exceeding 160 KVA but not exceeding 300 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

Note : (i) Detection of fault in one span of length and successful rectification by technicians will be measured as each job. (ii) Technicians will be employed by the contractor. (iii) Earth work and taking out will be measured and paid seprately. (iv) Material for repair and replacement will be measured and paid seprately.

Supply and fix self adhesive reflective radium stickers 5 meter roll , 75 mm wide around the street light poles 1.5 above ground level complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

Cleaning of bushes and grass, cutting the branches of trees if any over ramps and tappered surfaces of two/ four pole structures, transformer yards, lT Panel areas and making good surfaces as existing complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cable route marker made out of non corroded iron plate with stem of 0.60m long for grouting into the ground including HT cable by engraving / painting complete fixed in PCC including excavation and RF and removing complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for routine preventive / breakdown maintenance & repairing of 11KV (Drawout / non drawout trolly type) Vacuum Circuit Breaker (VCB) doing the follwing work :- (i) Taking out VCB trolly from panel and carry out the cleaning dust / durt / any type of spark, general maintenance, oiling, greasing the mechanical / electrical parts such as spring charging motor mechanism, gears, lever spring, operating rod, male & female electric contacts (Jaw contact assembly), bus bar shutter, tightening of nuts and bolts, cleaning any type of arc/ burning patch. (ii) Repairing / Checking the AC/DC wiring, circuit including control fuses, CT & PT fuse and circuit jack, on/off push button, all type of commanding electric tripping / closing coils, all type of IDMT numerical / degital / analog relays, indicating lamp, voltmeter, ammeter, PF meter, gear box mechanism and springs etc., (iii) Relacement and testing of defective / unservisible electrical / mechanical parts. (iv) Reinserting the VCB in panel and setting of all types of relays as per load. (v) Doing all type of standard tests and calibration of different type of relays such as Over current & earth fault relay, Trip circuit supervision relay, Master trip relay, Fuse failure relay. Digital multifunction relay, Auxilary relay for Buch, WTI, OTI trip & alarm, Auxilary relay for PRV trip & MOG Alarm by injucting artificial electric load in the form of overload, short circuit current , and earth fault for tripping function & testing of all relays complete in all respect all as specified and submetting testing report as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Notes :- (i) Unserviceable items required to be replaced shall be measured and paid separately. (ii) Minor parts such as oil, grease, rust/ carbon cleaner, Nut/ bolts, wires is included in the unit rate quoted above. (iii) Unit rate quoted against this item shall include the engineer, electrian & labour required for repair / replacement of unserviceable spare parts. (iv) The above work shall be carried out only and only by the OEM (existing make of equipment) Engineer, Electrian. No local / any other ageny, Company Engineer , dealer will be allowed to carryout the work. Engineer will come directy from OEM (existing make of equipment). Contractor will submit the evidance in this regard and will take permission before starting the work. (v) All the mechanical, electrical parts / relays / coils to be replace will be of same make and type as per existing installed on site. (vi) The contractor shall check the existing system of VCBs for maintenance of VCB parts before quoting the tender. (vii) The maintenace of VCB once measured will not be paid again in this contract if any other type of fault come after the servicing. Only spare parts will be paid. No any other type of labour/ Electrian / Engineer cost will be paid saperatly (viii) As the VCB is a critical equipment from the safety point of view for the electric supply system. If any fault comes in the VCBs the contractor will have to attend and rectify the same with in 48 Hrs .Failing to attend the fault within given time a panelty will be imposed @ 1000 / day till the rectification of fault.

Taking down old unserviceable Circuit spout connection R,Y & B 400 A from VCB breaker and supply and fix new Circuit spout connections 100A/ 200A /400 A Capacity replaced by unseriveable one make and model all as per existing complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

S&F in replacement of PT ( Potential transformer) suitable for 11 KV VCB Panel, copper wound, P1/P2 type of ratio 11000/110 Volt as per IS 2705-1992, Ins. Class B, 50 Hz, Str-25 KA / 1 Sec, to be installed all as per existing make and model or as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and fix in replacement LV plug connector suitable for 11 KV VCB controlling all as per existing complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fix in replacement male & female Jaw contact set of rating 11 KV, 800 Amps to be install in 11KV VCB all as per existing installed and specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fix in replacement HT vaccum interrupted assembly bottel with flex connection suitable for 11 KV VCB 100Amps/200 Amps/400 Amps capacity for RYB phases as per existing installed make and model complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6mm thick burried directly in ground vertically to a depth not less than 2.25 metre below ground level with top edge of earth plate at a depth of not less than 1.5 metre below ground level, earth plate surrounded by 15cm thick and packed layer of charcoal dust and common salt, connected to galvanised iron earth strip 25x4mm thick fixed by means of bolts, nuts and washers of the earth wire galvanised iron or steel and thimbles and other end of the earth wire connected to earthing test point and protected by galvanised iron pipe light grade 40mm dia upto 3m height above ground level and watering pipe 20mm dia GI medium grade with socket and plug 30 cm above ground level including earthwork, PCC chamber in PCC (1:3:6), type C-2, using 40mm graded stone aggregate, cast iron cover, wire meah etc all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of MES Schedule Part-I of SSR-2009 complete and all as specified and direcrted by Engr-in-charge. Notes:- (i) 20 mm dia GI pipe for watering to be provided with a socket and plug and should be 30 cms above ground level. (ii) GI strip connecting upto pump,Gen set,LT panel and DBs earth connection is included in this item. (iii) GI pipe 40 mm dia protection pipe shall be provided upto Ground level.
