Preparation of black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specifed and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exc 400 sqm and exceeding 50mm and not exc 100 mm deep complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for Preparation of bituminous surface and Applying evenly a Tack Coat with Cationic Bitumen Emulsion RS-1 confirming to IS:8887 at a rate of application of 0.2-0.3 kg/sqm on bitumnous surface as specified in Table 500-5 of MoRT&H specification for road and bridge works 2013, using using mechanical sprayer after cleaning of existing sufaces complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for Bitumenous concrete (BC) 30 mm thick (consolidated thickness) layer confirming to clause 507 of MORT&H specifications for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, filler with 5.5% binder (VG-30) contents by weight of total mix, crushed aggregate of grading 2, anti stripping agent, warm mix additives (quantity, quality and grade as per the approved job mix formula) etc, cleaning and pre-heating of the mineral aggregate, filler & bitumen of specific temperature throughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen contact, anti stripping agent, warm mix additives as per mix design in hot mix plant (batch type),

Contd.. carrying the hot mixed materials by means of tipper, trucks or any other approved and suitable arrangements, laying and hot premixed materials over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, including level and camber through rolling with power roller 8 to 10 tonnes smooth wheeled, vibratory and tendom roller with necessary hand packing and pinning to give an even surface including running expense of all plants and machineries, inclusive of proper traffic control during laying to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge, required quality control tests at required interval etc complete in all respects complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Notes : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 5.5 % VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix formula as per clause No. 505.3.3 of MORT&H specification for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT/CTL/Govt Engg Collage and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 5.4 % by weight of total mix as per clause 507.2.5 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision).

(ii) The cost of materials, transportation, Job mix formula form lab and testing charges for various tests as required are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii) Cost of Filler i.e. rock dust, hydrated lime or cement is deemed to be included in unit rate. (iv) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs. 45.00 Per KG and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified is respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made. (v) After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 of MoRT&H specification entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonnes (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonnes static weight, followed by finish rolling with 6 to 8 tonnes smooth wheeled tandem roller as per clause no. 507.4.8 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision) and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

Providing, laying & Compaction of bitumenous macadam (BM), compacted thickness not exceeding 75 mm, conforming to clause 504 of MoRT&H specification for Road and Bridge works (Fifth Revision) using mechanically crushed stone aggeagates and granual material etc of grading-II as per Table 500-7 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision) premixed with bitumenous binder Bitumen grade VG-30 @3.5% (percentage by weight of total mix) prepared in Batch type Hot Mix Plant transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher equiped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and allignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Notes : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 3.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Mix Design for Bitumenous macadam shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 3.4% by weight of total mix as per clause 504.2.4 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision). (ii) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs. 45.00 Per KG and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified is respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.

Repair to pot holes any depth not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust making good by applying tack coat @ 5 kg per 10 sq m, putting in premixed bituminous macadam (BM), well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sq m, blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings). depth of potholes not exceeding 30 mm, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for preparing bitumenous surfaces of road and marking 2.5 mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like not exceeding 10 cm wide on roads pavements with white/ yellow hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with 20% of glass beads (intermixed) by special applicator machine (automatic mechnical engine driven machine) all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fix in repair solar stud, aluminium alloy shell (100% water proofing design according to 65) of size 125 mm x 125 mm x 25 mm (shank 65 mm) of high efficiency Mono crystalline solar panel 2.4V/ 0.3 watt one NI-ed rechargeable battery (1.2V/1600MA) consisting of super bright LED with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd complete as per manufactures instructions etc. complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fixing in repair solar road Delineator having LEDs of colours red/yellow housed in a Plastic Body LEDs solar cell battery and light sensor, well protected inside polycarbonate sheet device protected with powder coated wire mesh cage, system mounted over 50 mm dia poweder coated steel tube of length 600 mm having sheet foot for firm grip to ground, system workable for 2-3 days (night) after full charge in 8-10 hours, including embedding in PCC Block (size 150 x 150 x 300 mm) 1:2:4 type B-1 complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for applying evenly a prime coat of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion SS1 confirming to IS:8887 at a rate of application of 0.7-1.0 Kg/Sqm on surface of stabilized soil bases/crusher run macadam as specified in Table 500-3 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge worki 2013, using mechanical sprayer complete all as specified and as directed.
