Excavating in trenches not exceeding 1.5 metre wide and not exceeding 1.5 metre deep and getting out in soft/ loose soil for pipe trenches, complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in including spreading leveling watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick with approved soil obtained from excavation, complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated soil not exceeding 50 metre and depositing at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed.

Repairs/Rectification of leakage in UG cast iron /Galvanised iron pipe/DI pipe by means of choking lead wool/ pig lead or tightning of GI fittings/ DI fittings complete including excavation and earth work for exposing the joints and working space on the site, returning,filling in and making good to the existing earth level of the surroundings after repair for the following sizes, complete all as specified and directed. Note;- (i) Rectification of leakage shall be attended and rectified by the contractor on the same day of reporting by the Engr-in-charge. Non rectification of leakage of pipe line shall be viewed as serious lapse on contractor's part and penal charges as Rs 100/- per complaint (ii) Supply only Lead wool/pig lead shall be measured and paid seperately. (iii) In case excavation beyound 1 mtr from both side of the joint and spares required the same shall be measured and paid separately under respective item.

Taking down old U/S Ductile iron pipe and M & L Ductile iron pipes, Class K-7, with spigot and socketed ends centrifugally cast (spun) with factory applied cement mortar lining inside the pipes and outside with zinc coating with suitable push on joint (Rubber gasket D joint) confirming to IS 8329/2000 of size 150 mm bore and connected itemes, complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down old U/S Ductile iron pipe and M & L Ductile iron pipes, Class K-7, with spigot and socketed ends centrifugally cast (spun) with factory applied cement mortar lining inside the pipes and outside with zinc coating with suitable push on joint (Rubber gasket D joint) confirming to IS 8329/2000 of size 100 mm bore and connected itemes, complete all as specified and directed. Note for item No 15 &16 : Excavation and earth work and DI specials where required shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item of this schedule.

Taking down old U/S Ductile iron fittings and M & L Ductile iron fittings, heavy duty, such as bends, tapers, tees, collars, tail pieces, reducers, etc. laid and jointed with suitable push on joints, complete all as specified and as directed.

Run lead joints for CI spigot and socket pipes and fittings for the following sizes, complete all as specified and as directed.

Construction of brick masonry valve pit of size 60 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm (internal dimensions) with one brick thick wall in cement mortar (1:4) on 100 mm thick PCC (1:4:8) type D2 (using 40 mm graded aggregate) as in foundation, 15 mm thick rendering in cement mortar (1:4) internally and externally up to 15 cm below ground level including, provision of valve pit cover made out of 3 mm thick MS sheet welded with 40 x 5 mm thick flat iron all round, on ISA 40 x 40 x 6 mm frame, fixed with hold fast 150 mm long, embedded in PCC (1:2:4) type B1 (Block size 230 x 200 x 100 mm) with necessary hinges, handles, locking arrangement, including applying two coats of white wash on plastered surfaces and two coats of bituminious paint over a coat of red oxide primer on steel surfaces and ncessary earth work in soft/loose soil, complete all as specified and directed.

Note Item no 1 to 44 : If any major break down of water supply at site with in 24 hrs of receipt of intimation from Engineer-in-charge and contractor shall ensure that the fault is rectified with in 48 hrs of receipt of intimation from engineer-in-charge any failing which recovery of Rs 300 per hour shall be recovered from the contractor dues w.e.f the time immediatley after the expiry of 48 hours duration.
