Conservation and restoration of various temples (Phool Devra, Nagadev, Gadia, Sardev Mata) at Atru, Distt. Baran (complete work)

Description of items and specification of work to be excuted.

Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, up to seven story height made with 40 mm dia M.S. tube 1.5 m center to center, horizontal & vertical tubes joining with cup & lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tube challies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it there after. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc. complete as per directions and approval of Engineer in-charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding.

Carefully removal of out of plumb/ hanging / disturbed / stone members from inner core of Shikhara Portion etc by appropriate techniques i.e using Derrik pole with chain pully including stacking them properly and numbering them etc very carefully to avoid any mishappening and without causing any damage to the stone members etc complete.

Carefully dismantling of sunken/ dislodged stone members of mandapa and sourrounding platform of garbha grah etc. complete.

Procurement of new sand stone (hand chiseled surface on both upper and lower side) (0.50x0.40x0.30 /2.00x0.30x0.30) for inner core masonry from Bijoliya Quarry to working site (Phool Devra Temple and Sardev Mata Temple) with transportation charges including loading and unloading etc. complete. Actual size of sand stone blocks will be as per the instruction of site in charge.

Restoration of inner core masonry of temple with special size sand stone blocks with appropriate techniques i.e. derrick pole and chain pully by experience workers with lime surkhi mortar (1lime : 1 Surkhi: 1 C. Sand) mis with adhesive material like belgiri, jaggery (gud), babool gum including curing etc. complete

Making the area workable by removing weeds including uprooting of rank vegetation, grass, brush, wood, trees saplings of girth up to 30cm measured at a height of 1m. Above ground level and removal of rubbish with all lead and lift outside the periphery of the area cleared etc. complete as per direction given by the engineer in-charge.

Digging carefully and very slowly and exposing fallen and scattered architectural fragments here and there including sorting out stone member and stack properly in systematic manner over wooden plank etc. complete as per direction provided by engineer in-charge.

Procurement and supply at Sardev Mata Temple of fly ash Autoclaved aerated cement (AAC) blocks block size (7"x7"x7" and 24"x8"x8") for using in place of missing architectural fragments during trial assembling and acess the quantum of missing temple architectural members.

Procurement of new stone for veneering of Shikhara portion from Bijolia quarry including transportation from Bijolia quarry to Gangsaw for cutting the stones (size according to site in-charge) and transportation from gang saw to working site (Sardev Mata Temple and Phool Devra Temple). The blocks shall be dressed and cut in the traditional shikhara pattern, gradually tapering upwards according to adjoining stone members, and shaped from the bottom and top in such a manner that they interlock and fit securely in position.

Cutting/ chiseling and Draw geometrical design / carved pattern on new stones as per matching the original pattern etc complete.

Carefully mending the cracked/broken/missing heavy stone block by appropriate techniques using stainless steel pin/dowels/clamp with epoxy solution mixed with stone dust of same stone including drilling hole, cutting channel finishing etc. complete.

Initial reassembling of sorting and lifting sand stone blocks of shikhara by trial and error method with the help of conjectural drawing & photo documentation and to the assess the quantum of missing / mending work of structure and complete for its final restoration work.

Restoration of Shikhara and Mandapa portion with available old/ new stone members as per original by appropriate techniques i.e. using derrik pole with chain pully very carefully without damaging the adjoining structure with well experienced workers including making holes for fixing SS clamp/dowels etc complete.

Disposal of building rubbish / malba / similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste materials by manual/mechanical means with lead approx. 500mtr avg. and lift approx. 20mtr, including loading, transporting, unloading to approved municipal dumping ground or as approved by Engineer-in-charge, beyond 50 m initial lead, for all leads including all lifts involved.

Raking out joints of stone masonry surface to the required width and depth, with due care and precaution, by mechanical / manual means, including preparing and cleaning the surface for repointing/ refilling of joints, including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 50 meter lead.

Ruled / Flush pointing on Red sand stone masonry surface with lime, surkhi mortar in the ratio of 1:1:1 (1 lime putty : 1 Surkhi : 1 C. Sand) with gur and belgiri treatment complete including complete.

Supplying and stacking of good earth at site as per instruction by site in-charge etc. complete

Re-plaster with lime, surkhi mortar in the ratio of 1:1:1 (1lime putty : 1 Surkhi : 1 C. Sand) with gur and belgiri treatment including etc. complete

Demolishing lime concrete manually/ by mechanical means and disposal of material within 50 meters lead as per direction of Engineer- in-charge.
