Water Proofing treatment of the connecting corridor of Main Building to Extension Building and extension part of Geo-Chemistry Building at CSIR-NGRI, Hyderabad

Description of Items :

Removing of old waterproofing sheet/tarfelt/membrane by using manpower/mechnical/removing or rubbing with soaked cotton to complete removing and disposed the unserviceable materials outside the camps.

Cleaning of exposed concrete surface chipping/removing of bitumen by using Hammer gun to expose the surface of RCC roof slab including removing of loose concrete/plaster from the surface as per instruction of Engineer-in-charge and dumping in a place in proper manner as instruction given by Engineer-in-charge.

15 mm cement plaster on rough side of single or half brick wall finished with a floating coat of neat cement of mix : 1:4 (1 cement: 4 fine sand) with Conplast X421IC make Fosroc with equivalent.

Grading of roof as water proofing treatment with Cement mortar 1:4 (1cement : 4 coarse sand) with Reinforcement Fibre Mesh, construction polyester fiber reinforcement and Conplast X421IC make Fosroc with equivalent. For this item the contractor has to submitte 10 years Guarantee.

Finally finishing with Neat cement punning with making of 300x300 mm square 3mm deep and 4 mm wide.

Cleaning of rain water drains of all depths by engaging required man power including removing of existing covers carefully and refixing properly including required cement plaster work etc to complete the job as per instructions of Engineer-In-Charge. Disposal of surplus earth/mud in the NGRI campus as per instructions of Engineer-In-Charge.

Demolishing cement concrete manually/ by mechanical means including disposal of material within 100 metres lead as per direction of Engineer - in - charge. Nominal concrete 1:3:6 or richer mix (i/c equivalent design mix)

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10sqm on plan) including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 200 m and lift upto 1.5 m, as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level : 1:5:10 (1 cement : 5 fine sand : 10 graded stone aggregate40 mm nominal size)

Brick work with common burnt clay F.P.S. (non modular) bricks of class designation 3.5 in foundation and plinth in: Cement mortar 1:6 (1 cement : 6 coarse sand)

15 mm cement plaster on the rough side of single or half brick wall of mix : 1:4 (1 cement: 4 fine sand)

Chequerred precast cement concrete tiles 22 mm thick in footpath & courtyard, jointed with neat cement slurry mixed with pigment to match the shade of tiles, including rubbing and cleaning etc. complete, on 20 mm or more thick bed of cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement: 4 coarse sand). Dark shade pigment using ordinary cement

Providing, mixing and applying bonding coat of approved adhesiveon chipped portion of RCC as per specifications and direction of Engineer-In-charge complete in all respect. SBR Polymer modified cementitious bond coat @ 2.2 kg cement per sqm of surface area mixed with specified proportion of approved polymer or as per the instructions of the manufacturer.( make of Roff, BASF, Fosroc or equivalent)

Providing and injecting approved grout in proportion recommendedby the manufacturer into cracks/honey-comb area of concrete/masonry by suitable gun/pump at required pressure including cuttingof nipples after curing etc. complete as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge.(The payment shall be made on the basis of actual weight of approved grout injected.) Stirrer mixed Acrylic Polymer of approved make @ 2%of weight of cement used) modified Cement slurry madewith non shrink compound in concrete/RCC work

Providing and fixing SWR pipe 110 mm diameter and 60 cm long rain water spout including removing of old spout and making the hole of required size of fix new spout. The required repair work with cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 fine sand) with spong finish to match the old surface.

Providing and fixing machine moulded aluminium covering of approved pattern & design, made out of machine cut aluminium sheet and machine holed for receiving dash fastener, over expansion joints on vertical surfaces/ceiling floors, the fixing on plate in one row on one side of joint only shall be done with stainless steel dash fasteners of 8 mm dia and 75 mm long bolt including providing aluminium washers 2 mm thick & 15 mm dia , at a staggered pitch of 200mm centre to centre including drilling holes in the receiving surface and providing expandable plastic sleeves in holes etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. Powder coated aluminium sheet 2.5mm thick (minimum thickness of powder coating 50 micron). The gap between the wall/floor and the aluminium sheet should be filled with silicone adhesive.
