Laying of water bound macadam for Coal transportation road under Sasti Sub Area

Preparation and consolidation of sub grade with power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity after excavating earth to an average of 22.5cm depth, dressing to camber and consolidating with road roller including making good the undulations etc. and re-rolling the subgrade and disposal of surplus earth with lead upto 50 metres.

Granular Sub-base with Well Graded Material (CBR>30 or more) (Table:- 400-1 & Table 400-2) Construction of granular sub-base by providing well graded material like natural sand crushed gravel or crushed stone having CBR >30, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing by mix in place method with rotavator or plant mix method at OMC, and compacting with vibratory rollers of 80 to 100 kN static weight to achieve the desired density, complete as per Clause 401 of Specification. (A) Plant Mix Method For Grading-I Material

Water Bound Macadam. Providing laying spreading and compacting stone aggragate of specifc sizes to water bound macadam specifications including spreading in uniform thickness , hand packing, rolling with vibratory roller 8-10 T in stages to proper grade and camber , applying and brooming requisite type of screenings / binding materials to fill up the interstices of coarse aggregate watering and compacting to the required density as per clause 404 of specifications. ( A ) By mechanical means, Grading 11 ( 53 mm to 22.4 mm ) using type B screenings ( 11.2 mm ). ( Note : for one 1.00 cum of compacted thickness contractor have to supply following materials 53 mm to 22.4 mm aggregate = 1.21 cum screenings 11.20 mm = 0.24 cum stone dust = 0.08 cum)
