REPAIR/REPLACEMENT OF ROAD/ PATH/ CULVERT OF HQ NC COMPLEX, NORTHERN COMD DHRUVA COMPLEX AND BIKRAM ENCLAVE UNDER GE (SOUTH) UDHAMPUR

Scarifying or picking up graveled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exceeding 400 Square Metre , exceeding 50mm and not exceeding 150mm deep including removing the material to a distance not exceeding 50 metre and stacking complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

Premix bituminous macadam with 4% paving using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50 -70 penetration) bitumen binder, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness upto maximum 75mm), complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Repair to pot holes any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal), complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with compressed air to remove all loose dirt etc., and applying evenly a priming / tack coat on existing black top surfaces with paving bitumen primer using paving bitumen VG-10 grade @ 5 Kg per Ten Square Metre and including Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% paving bitumen using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50 -70 penetration) binder content by weight of total mix rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient, complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Note for item No. 1 to 4 : (a) Preparation of mix in hot mix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the required temperature of mix under all conditions till it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these items shall include for carrying out the works with deployment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable on this account. (b) To achieve marshal stability of 9.0 KN ( as per MORTH 5th revision) and all as per SSR Part-I Clause No. 20.B.4. (c) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 60.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.

Continuous brick edging, with width equal to the width of the brick, laid dry on end vertically with burnt clay bricks of sub class 'B' bricks, complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Reinforced concrete pipes 300 mm bore, class NP3, laid and jointed complete with collars, complete all as specified and directed by GE/Engr-in-Charge.

Plain cement concrete 1:3:6 type C-2 (using 40mm graded aggregate) as in concrete bed to drain pipes including packing under and haunching against the sides of pipes after they are laid and tested for 300mm bore pipes, complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Plain cement concrete (1:4:8) type D2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in foudation, filling and mass concrete, complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Plain cement concrete 1:3:6 type C-2 (using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregates) as in surface channels and drains including necessary form work and extra for forming fair finished drain or channel for inner girth in cement concrete, using extra cement, including forms, moulds, mitred/stopped ends etc, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-charge.

Demolition of brick work or stone masonry built in cement mortar including all quoins arches, pillars etc but excluding ashlar facing, dressed stone work and precast concrete articles, complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge

Brick work with old size sub class 'B' bricks, straight or curved on plan exc 6 m mean radius built in cement mortar 1:4, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Walling of random rubble stone masonry uncoursed, with best quality locally available harder stones such as granite, trap, basalt, trap, basalt stone etc, well bonded, bedded and solidly hearted , built in cement mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) in steps, seismic and other similar bands, parapets and railings up to 60 cm in hieght, coping, kneeless apex stones , bed plates, kerbs not provided for including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles including necessary formwork complete all as directed and specified.

110mm bore, PVC (SWR) pipes, pressure rating 10 kg/sqcm, single or double socketed, in any length with rubber ring joints, fixed to wall with clamps or as in spouts, or as in weep holes, fixed in repairs, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in- Charge.

15mm thick rendering on fair faces of brick or concrete surfaces in cement mortar 1:6, finish surfaces even and smooth without using extra cement, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Raised pointing to Random Rubble stone uncoursed or brought upto courses Masonary in Cement Mortar 1:4 complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Mild steel framed work such as grills, gratings, etc. with ends of bars shouldered and/or riveted or gorged into spikes, framed guard bar, barred iron doors; ladder, framed balusters; railing; frame work for water tanks, cooler stand etc and similar work conforming to Fe-290 Gde-E-165, incl dismantling existing structure complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Removing excavated material/ debries from site exceeding 500 mtr but not exceeding 1.50Km out side defence land, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Metal tubular dealineator made out of ABS round body fitted with 2 Nos 65 mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA and mounted on 45/50 mm dia mild steel pipe of 600 mm height duly powder coated and thermo plastic elastomer 3 bands of green, red and yellow reflector radium tape of 25 mm wide strips with anti theft steel net for reflector protection including embedding in PCC 1:2:4 (150x150x300mm) type B1, fixed in repair, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Solar cat eye aluminium alloy shall ( 100% water proofing design according to 65 ) of size 125mm x 125mm x 25mm ( shank 65mm ) of high efficiency Mono rystafie solar panel 2.4V / 0.3 watt one NI -ed rechargeable battery ( 1.2V / 1600MA ) consisting of super bright LED with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd complet as per manufactures instructions etc. all as specified and directed with stem self illustrating in dim areas during night time . Solar rechargeable batteries for continual performance without much maintenance . Super bright LEDs with a viewing distance of 500 meters . Equipped with prismatic reflective lens on each side ensure maximum reflectivity make up of highly compressive material cosustain over 10 tones water resistant fixed in repair, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Cat eye of size 100 mm x 100mmx18.5mm made of ABS material two reflectors fitted in the body, weight of cat eye 130 gm approx, designed for dynamic loads, fixed in repairs, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Manufacturing, supplying and fixing in repair retro reflective Cautionary /warning sign boards of equilateral triangular shape having each side of 900 mm with support length of 3650 mm and made up of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated type heat activated retro reflective sheeting conforming to type - IV of ASTM-D 4956-01 in blue and silver white or other colour combination including subject matter, message (bi-lingual), symbols and borders etc. as per IRC ; 67:2001, pasted on substrate by an adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying heat and pressure conforming to class -2 of ASTM-D-4956-01 and fixing the same with suitable sized aluminium alloy rivets @ 20 cm c/c to back support frame of M.S. angle iron of size 25x25x3 mm along with theft resistant measures, mounted and fixed with 2 Nos. M.S. angles of size 35x35x5 mm to a vertical post made up to M.S. Tee section ISMT 50x50x6 mm welded with base plate of size 100x100x5 mm at the bottom end and including making holes in pipes, angles flats, providing & fixing M.S. message plate of required size, steel work to be painted with two or more coats of synthetic enamel paint of required shade and of approved brand & manufacture over priming coat of zinc chromate yellow primer (vertical MS- Tee support to be painted in black and white colours). Backside of aluminium sheet to be painted with two or more coats of epoxy paint over and including appropriate priming coat including all leads and lifts etc. complete as per drawing , specification and direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Speed bump of size 750 x 250mm & height 75mm (yellow / black colour) made of ABS material with two highly reflective reflectors molded in PMMA material are welded with ABS plates through Ultrasonic welding process, and the speed breaker shall be installed by the process as per standard manufacturer's instructions including taking out old speed breakers, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Preparation of any type of road surfaces by scratching old spots, paints, trading oils greasy spots etc. and applying reflective Thermo Plastic road marking paints as side, side lines of white/yellow colour of width upto 100mm conforming to Ministry of surface Transaport (MORTH) specification for the road and bridge work : 3rd revision, over primer as per manufacturers instructions including glass beads (intermix) type I (most/BS6008A) and provision contained in IRC-35-1997, complete all as specified and directed by GE/Engr-in-Charge. Note : Contractor shall have to furnish the detail that quantity minimum used per square meter is 5.00 Kg/Sqm.

Painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters on road pavements and kerb stones and similar articles as required at site with road marking paint exceeding 10cm wide or girth, complete all as specified and directed by GE/Engr-in-Charge.

Machine pressed (factory made) size 300mmx300mmx100mm thick, precast cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) in quoin blocks (for use with masonry/ kerbs), bonders (for stone wallin). corbels, brackets, etc. (of any section indicated), with plain fair aces, including chamfers, weatherings, throating etc. and setting in mortar 1:4, complete with joints to match, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Demolition of Cement Concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for including removal of demolished materials out of defence land, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Plain cement concrete (1:3:6) type C-2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate as in foudation, filling, sub base and mass concrete, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) in ground floor and in paving not exceeding 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level), complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

75mm thick Plain cement concrete 1:4:8 type D-2 (using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregates) as in sub base to floor, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Dismantling floor, hearth or wall tiling including cement mortar bedding (but not backing), removing serviceable tiles to store and rubbish off the premises complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Heavy duty (Durastone) tile of size 300x300x10mm (for external application) 10 mm thick Square/rectangular tiles area of each tile not exceeding 0.36 Sqm as in floors set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in coloured cement to match the surface over and including 15 mm thick screed bed or bedding layer in cement mortar 1:4 for laying floor finishes , complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note : Colour of the tiles shall be as approved by GE.

Glazed ceramic wall cladding coloured jointfree/rectified tiles 300mm x 450mm or 300mm x 600mm having thickness 7 to 8mm (design and size as approved by Engr in Charge) as in vertical surfaces of walls, set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in coloured cement to match the surface over and including 10 mm thick screed bedding/ backing layer in CM 1:3, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Chequered cement concrete tiles 200mm x 200mm or 300mm x 300mm having thickness 25mm to 300mm, (lacquar quoted) set, jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry in floors/ path with using pigments, over and including 15mm thick screed bedding layer in cement mortar in 1:4, complete all as specified and directed by GE/Engr-in-Charge.

Providing and laying 60mm thick factory made chamfered edge cement concrete paver block of M-35 grade with approved colour, design & pattern as in footparth, parks, lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc., of required strength, thickness & size/ shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over and including 30mm thick compacted bed of fine sand, compacting and proper embedding/ laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with sand and cutting of paver blocks as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying 80mm thick factory made chamfered edge cement concrete paver block of M-30 grade with approved colour, design & pattern as in footpath, parks, lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc., of required strength, thickness & size/ shape, made by table vibratory method using PU mould, laid in required colour & pattern over and including 30mm thick compacted bed of coarse sand, compacting and proper embedding/ laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with fine sand and cutting of paver block as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand; complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
