Milling of distress bituminous layer upto 20mm depth in single pass with suitable milling machine (capable of milling @200-300 sqm area per Hr.) fitted with loading conveyor for loading the milled material directly on the trucks i/c hauling and stock pilling the reclaimed material near the central recycling plant or reclaiming to bring to required specification to reuse with the approval of Engineer-in-Charge for safe disposal with all leads and lifts complete in all respects. Note: The unutilized quantity of reclaimed bituminous mix material shall be a recovery item.
Construction of embankment, sub grade in reconstruction portion at Rd 0.00 to 0.735 with soil of Minimum CBR (4 days soaked) of obtained from borrow area with all lead and lift transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacted to meet requirement of table 300-2 of MoRT&H specification clause No. 305. The finished road surface will be as per X-section approved by employer with respect to GTS. At no place top of sub grade of raised road will be less than 0.90 m above adjoining NSL. NSL for a block of 100m will be worked as mean of 6 levels taken on 20 m center to center length of road. These six levels are at three location on both side one at edge ROW. Other at 5 m and 10 m away from ROW. In case the quantity of earth work calculated with NSL and finished level found to be less than 3844.53 cum. Then actual quantity (less than 3844.53 cum) will be paid. In case quantity worked out is more than 3844.53 cum, then only 3844.53 cum will be paid. Excess quantity shall be incidental to work and nothing extra will be paid. Further it shall be ensured that atleast 500 mm of sub grade with earth of CBR 8% shall be constructed at each location. Wherever any cutting of existing sub grade is required on this account excavation as well as handling and disposal of earthwork to accommodate minimum 500mm thick sub grade of minimum 8% CBR shall be carried out by the agency at his own cost. Nothing extra will be paid on this account. Before start of work, L-section shall be got approved from the employer with respect to GTS. However, typical X-section attached at section 9 of DNIT.

If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95%, anti-stripping agent will be used by contractor. Providing and Laying 50 mm thick Compacted bituminous macadam in (BM) in one layer by drum type hot mix plant and paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade as per clause No. 504 table No. 500-4 of MoRT&H specification for road and bridge works (5th Revision) of 2013 using minimum 3.4% bitumen grade VG-30 as binder content by weight of total mix, complete in all respects i/c cost of bitumen, instruction issued from time to time by MoRT&H regarding machinery & bitumen will be followed strictly. The use of self propelled mechanical paver fitted with electronic sensor device conforming to MoRT&H specification in mandatory. If bitumen required on this account is more than 3.4% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work. Note: - Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS – 6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95%, anti-stripping agent will be used by contractor. Pavement Marker (Cat Eyes) Moulded shank raised pavement markers made of polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 16000 KG tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H and complying to specifications of Category A of MORTH Circular No. W/NH/33023/10-97-DO III dt. 11.06.1997. The height width and length shall not be exceed 50mm, 100mm and 100 mm and with minimum reflective area of 13 Sqcm. On each side and the slope to the base shall be 35+/- degree. Recovery items:- The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Material obtained from dismantling of existing brick work, bituminous layer and granular layers have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The dismantled material can used in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) after approval from employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material. This material can be taken away by the agency at the price quoted by the agency but minimum price to be quoted is limited to reserve price as fixed and mentioned as under :- Stone metal WBM @ Rs.522.62/- per cum Note: All quantities of the above materials have been worked out on the basis of theoretical quantities laid on this road. However, agency may visit site before quoting rates and assess the extent of retrieved material. There shall be no measurement after actual dismantling and if material after dismantling is found on lesser side, no claim of agency on this score will be entertained and full recovery on the basis of quoted rate and quantity exhibited in the BOQ shall be made. The reserve rates are minimum rates to be used as base for quoting purchase rate by the agency. No rates below the reserve price will be entertained and reserve price will be considered for all purposes in case the agency quotes lesser than reserve price.
1st year Maintenance as per general condition of contract data @ 33208.00 per km.
2nd year Maintenance as per general condition of contract data @ 99623.00 per km.
3rd year Maintenance as per general condition of contract data @ 132831.00 per km.
4th year Maintenance as per general condition of contract data @ 166039.00 per km.
5th year Maintenance as per general condition of contract data @ 232455.00 per km.
Item no- 58 to 62 Note- The bidder is not required to quote his rate for routine maintenance. The rates of routine maintenance as indicated in the bill of quantities are to be considered for financial evaluation and determining L-1 contractor irrespective of rates quoted by the contractors. If the rates quoted by the contractor differ from fixed rates, then it will not be considered and base rates as fixed in the DNIT will be considered. However, the total amount of L-1 will not be increased from the total amount quoted by the contractor and rebate to that extent shall have to be given by the contractor. Further the payment for routine maintenance to the contractor shall be regulated based on his performance of maintenance activities as per chapter as per chapter eleven of rural road in manual (IRC-SP-20-2002). Note:- If any discrepancy found in the unit/ Nomenclature in the items of BOQ. The Nomenclature of HSR/ MoRT&H shall be applicable.
Note- 1. The item for which no rate or price has been entered in will not be paid for by the Employer when executed and shall be deemed to be covered by the other rates and prices in the Bill of Quantities (Refer: ITB Clause 13.2 and Part I General Condition of Contract 39.3). 2. Unit rates and prices shall be quoted by the bidder in Indian rupees [ITB Clause 14.1].
