This requires careful preparation of existing horizontal and vertical substrates; cracks are filled, expansion joints, flashings(if any) are prepared. Substrates and penetrations shall be prepared to rigorous industry standards, and may require scarifying, sandblasting or grinding in some cases to achieve a suitable substrate and the cost of the above work shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (2) Removal of any other membrane type waterproofing will also be measured and paid under this item.
Providing Second Skin on the terrace using Polyester - Resin based waterproofing system with special non woven polyester fleece minimum 165 gsm as a reinforcement for arresting Water Penetration in the Building as described below:- Providing and applying (Pre Measured Packed) 2 components solvent free, highly penetrative, excellent adhesion property nearly to all substrates, Epoxy Based Primer on the clean and grinded surface. The substrate must be dry (in concrete, the residual moisture in the upper 2 cm must be < 5 %), sound and free from any material that would hinder adhesion. Mix component A (Blue component) into component B ( Yellowish component) thoroughly in propotion 1 : 0.43 by weight with the help stirring stick. The mixture should be a uniform colour, free from streaks. Apply the primer evenly with roller and immediately lightly sprinkle silica sand (0.4 – 0.8mm) at the rate of Minimum 100 grams/SqM over the wet primer, including cost of all materials, labour, machinery, tools & tackles and consumables all complete as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. The primer should be completely dry for further application of liquid applied polyester resin based membrane. The Consumption depending on the nature and condition of the substrate for priming ~ 300 – 500 gm/SqM including cost of material, labour, tools & plants etc. complete. Providing and Applying (Pre Measured Pack) 3 components cold liquid applied waterproofing system based on Unsaturated Polyester Resin and special needle punched non woven, system compatible polyester fleece of minimum 165 GSM as reinforcement.
