SITE CLEARANCE

Clearing and Grubbing road land by mechanical means including uprooting rank vegetation, grass, bushes, shrubs saplings and trees of girth upto 300 mm, removal of stumps and stumps of trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials and staking of serviceable material with all lead up to 1000m including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150mm in thickness as per Technical Specification Clause 201.

EARTHWORK

Excavation in soil in Hilly Area by mechanical means including cutting and trimming of side slopes and disposing of excavated earth with a lift upto 1.5 m and a lead upto 20 m as per Technical Specification Clause 1603.1

Excavation in hilly area in ordinary rock not requiring blasting by mechanical means including cutting and trimming of slopes and disposal of cut material with a lift upto 1.5 m and lead upto 20 m as per Clause 1603.2.

Excavation in hilly areas in hard rock requiring blasting, by mechanical means, lift upto 1.5 m and disposal of excavated rock upto a lead of 20 m as per Clause 1603.2.

Construction of subgrade and earthen shoulders with approved material obtained from borrow pits with all lifts and leads, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacted to meet requirement of Table 300.2 with lead upto 1000 m as per Technical Specification Clause 303.1.

Removal of unsuitable soil including (Cleaning and grubbing road land etc.) excavation, loading and disposal upto 1000 m lead but excluding compaction ground supporting embankment subgrade replacement by suitable soil, which shall be paid separately as per Clause 303.5.2 as per Technical Specification Clause 302.3.11

BASE AND SUB-BASE

GSB Grade 2- Construction of granular sub-base with locally available graded material, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, watering to OMC and compacting with smooth wheel roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per Technical Specification/ direction of EE.

WBM Grade 3- Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with smooth wheel roller 80-100 kN in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming, stone screening to fill-up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density Grading 3 as per Technical Specification Clause 405.

BITUMINOUS WORK

Prime Coat- Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.6-0.9 kg/sqm using mechanical means as per Technical Specification

Tack Coat- Providing and applying tack coat with Bitumen emulsion (RS-1) using emulsion distributor at the rate of 0.25 to 0.30 kg per sqm on the prepared dry and hungry bituminous surface cleaned with Hydraulic broom as per Technical Specification Clause 503.

OGPC- Providing, laying and rolling of 20 mm thick Open Graded Premix Carpet using Bitumen Emulsion (cold mix) as per Technical Specification Clause 508.2 composed of 13.2 mm to 5.6 mm aggregates to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing, laying and rolling with a three wheel 80-100 kN static roller capacity, finished to required level and grades to be followed by seal coat of either Type A or Type B or Type C as per Technical Specification Clause 508.

Seal Coat- Providing and laying seal coat sealing the voids in a bituminous surface laid to the specified levels, grade and cross fall using Type B as per Technical Specification Clause 510

CROSS DRAINAGE WORKS: 1X1.00 M Dia. Pipe Culverts

Earthwork in excavation for foundation of structures in ordinary rock upto 3 m depth as per drawing and technical specification Clause 1104 includding setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious matter, dressing of sides and bottom and backfilling with approved material.

Providing Concrete (M-10) for Plain Concrete in open foundations complete as per drawing and Technical specification clause 802, 803, 1202,& 1203

Stone masonry work in cement mortar in foundation complete etc.(III). Random Rubble Masonry. (ii) In 1:4 Cement Mortar.

Construction of unlined surface drain of average cross-sectional area 0.4 sqm in ordinary rock to specified lines, grades, levels and dimensions as per approved design and Technical Specification Clause 307. Excavated material to be used in embankment at site.
