REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF FILTRATION PLANT, PIPES, VALVES AND CONNECTED ITEMS AT LGJ MIL STN UNDER GE LALGARH JATTAN

Cleaning of pressurized dual media filter of capacity of 180000 Ltr per hour by taking out carefully complete sand and Antharcite layers, and removing the same where as directed by Engineer-in-charge . After taking out the old Filter media such as gravel from DMF, the complete filter plant shall be washed and cleaned throughly with clean water and bleaching powder and including cleaning and drilling the holes of existing MS pipe and painting with two coats of blue bituminious paint over one coat of red oxide primer of filter and necessory minor repairs of pipe. After proper cleaninig, washing and painting, the DMF shall be repacked with the new filter media in different layers and testing of entire filteration plant after repacking of new filter media complete all as specified and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. Note :- (i) After taking out old filter media from DMF shall be disposed as per direction of Engr-in-charge and nothing shall be paid extra on this account. (ii) New filter media shall be measured and paid under serial item No. 2.00 & 3.00 of BoQ under supply only. (iii) Cost of labour and T&P for repacking of DMF with new filter media in different layers is deemed to be included in this item and nothing shall be paid extra on this account. (iv) Cost of labour and material for cleaning DMF and painting of MS pipe & DMF is deemed to be included in this item and nothing shall be paid extra on this account.

Supply only filter grade sand media for DMF complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply only anthracite complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Taking out centrifugal pump set having discharge 44 LPS and head 22.5 meter coupled with electric motor of 25 HP capacity from its foundation, disconnecting the suction and delivery lines, transporting the pump to workshop, dismantling and strip opening the pump, metal filling and machining of impeller shaft, setting right the defective parts by means of lathe and welding work where ever required, replacement of packing material, greasing, replacing the defective parts, transporting the pump to site, reinstalling in position and alignment with motor on its original location, testing all as directed by Engr-in-Charge.Note-(1) All minor repairs, welding etc required to make pump set in satisfactory working condition shall be inclusive in quoted rates . (2) Major spare parts shall be paid seprately under respective items of BOQ. Fixing of these parts is included in the rates quoted by the contractor.. (3) New items provided shall of size and specification as per existing at site suitable modifications if reqd to fit the new item shall be made by the contractor without any extra cost to the Govt.
