Painting of Piers,Pier caps , portals and viaduct segments/I-Girders including pedestals and stoppers of elevated section by providing and applying aliphatic water based acrylic anticarbonation coatings( bound by penetration of the polymeric binder in to the concrete substrate) of approved brand and manufacture at all the location and levels, prepared and applied as per manufacturer's specification including preparation of surface by cleaning of dust, scraping of any foreign substances, filling of pin holes with cement putty, filling of honey combing with GP-2 mortar ,grinding of edges, joints and slurry spots etc( if required any) complete.the materials should not have residual electrostatic charge and should be zero volatile organic compound(VOC),weather proof advance anti -algae and fungi resistant,excelent dirt resistant , crack bridging ability, excelent cross linking capability and should be single component,self priming, full proof system.the paint coating should be applied in two or more coats over and above one coat of primer to achieve an even shade colour and total minimum dry film thickness 250 micron including priming coat. this system shall consist one coat of primer of 40-50 micron thickness and main polymer coating of 200-250 micron of thickness all complete as per direction of engineer -in- charge .the rates should be icluding the cost of materials , labour , equipments and machinery,work at all levels, leads and lifts, loading unloading, transportation and contingencies, including of scaffolding, hydraulic boom/skylift,Airless spray machine system, safety PPE, barricading,traffic marshal,lighting etc complete.The exact shade of colour will be approved by engineer-in-charge . NOTE: The test of paint will be done on each lot supplied at site and necessary testing charges will be paid by agency and no reimbursement on this account shall be made to agency by DDA.
