The Job includes Providing, Fabrication, fitting of Pump Base Structure at new Bay fabricated out of Suitable ISMB Girders and allied fittings as required at site.
Retrofitting of existing 13.5 Cusecs 165 M Head Vertical Turbine 03 Stage Bowl assembly by modifying the same to a discharge capacity of 13.5 cusecs & 142 Meters dynamic Head. However, the make and model of the pump shall be the same which will be offered by the successful bidder in case of newly proposed 13.5 cusecs discharge & 142-meter dynamic head. Besides it shall be ensured that the Pump can be coupled to the existing 1000KW Motor without any modification. The s.no along with frame size of the motor is detailed below. Make: BHEL (Motor) Frame Size: IRS7563-4P S.No. 46146A405-21-10 Besides it is shall be ensured that the Pump parts of the retrofitting are perfectly interchangeability with the pump parts of the proposed /allotted pumps. Further the retrofitting pump shall be able to operate in Parallel with any of the two pumps without any decrease in efficiency and adverse effect on the system.
Supply installation testing and commissioning of 450 mm ND rubber flexible Joint having: i) Pressure rating: - PN 25 not less than 25 Kg/sqcm ii) Compression/Elongation: - 50 mm (minimum) iii) Type: Bellow. iv) Length (without Elongation): 400mm. v) The flexible joint shall be of rubber, bellow type having integral flanged ends made of high grade abrasion resistance natural rubber compound reinforced with adequate number of piles of heavy duty cottn duct rayon cords impregnated with rubber compound and further reinforced with metal rings.tjhe joint shall have flanges integral with the body faced and drilled with:- a) No of Holes =16/20 b) Dia of Hole=30mm c) Thickness of rubber flange=25 mm. The flange shall match with the flange of the discharge elbow on one side and with the flange of the delivery pipe on the other side. All the nuts and bolts with washers, gaskets along with complete controlling unit for the rubber bellow with adjustable bolts and MS flanges in split parts with thickness not less than 12 mm shall be provided and fitted by the firm for complete testing and successful commissioning of the bellow on full load using skilled labour, tools and tackles as required for carrying out job at site.
Fabrication, providing, handling, laying, installation, testing and commissioning of 450mm Nominal Diameter 10mm thick HSAW ISI-mark Mild Steel Pipes for connecting the delivery lines from Three No Discharge Elbows with the common header as per the technical specifications as under: S. No Details Requirement 1 Nominal Diameter = 450 mm 2 Thickness = 10 mm 3 Length of the pipe = Pipe shall be in single random length from 4 to 7 meter as per Clause 12.4 of IS 3589 4 Type of welding = HSAW 5 Quality of MS plate to be used for manufacture = As per IS 2062 6 Pipe to be manufactured = As per IS 3589 having one longitudinal joint with latest amendments (Grade-Fe410) 7 Hydraulic test pressure = As per 10.1 of IS 3589 8 Working pressure = PN 25 9 End preparation = As per 17.1 of IS 3589 where V-groove is to be made by machine-grinding edges of the pipe 10 Type of welding to be used for joining pipes = DC arc welding 12 Tolerances = As per clause 12.3 of IS:3589 Installation Installation of the pipe includes carrying of these pipes from manufacturing place to the site of installation which involves loading/ unloading at respective sites. External surface of pipes to be painted with two coats of steel primer and black bituminous paint in two coats. The mild steel pipe line shall be laid as per contour/ layout plan defined by the department “Under Ground/Above Ground” on saddle blocks as per site requirement. The laying of pipes shall be carried out as per IS:5800. Pipes are to be welded circumferentially end to end in 2-3 runs in addition to the root filling of the V-grooves using high quality welding electrodes and making the joints absolutely leak proof. Any excessive welding material is to be grinded for even finish. The welding joints thus formed shall withstand the working pressure. The bends/ offsets wherever necessary shall be fabricated by the contractor out of the supplied pipe within quoted price. All tools and tackles like tripod stand, lifting/ pulling machines, welding machine, electrical generator etc. required for handling/ laying/ joining any other activity for completion of job shall have to be arranged by the firm.
Supply installation testing and commissioning of Reflux Valve 450 mm diaPN 25for delivery line of 13.5 cusec pumping unit, ISI marked conforming to manufacturing as per IS-5312 Part-1 of 2004 with latest amendments and flange connections as per IS 1538/BIS 4504 along with 02 No Flanges of 25 mm thickness Table 5 adaptable with flanges of valve having thickness as per relevant IS code with RI cloth and suitable fasteners. Body: Ductile Iron Bonnet: Ductile Iron Disc: Ductile Iron Plug: Brass Surface Protection: Electro static epoxy powder coating.
Supply installation, testing and commissioning of DN 450, PN 25 Sluice valve, ISI marked, conforming to IS 14846 for delivery lines of 13.5 cusec pumping unit with following specifications: Material of construction: a) Body, Bonnet: Ductile iron b) Wedge: Ductile iron c) Spindle/Stem: St Steel as per AISI 420 d) Stem nut: Copper /Brass Alloy e) Bonnet Gasket: EPDM rubber The job also includes providing and fitting of RI cloth/rubber washer, Fasteners MS flanges of 25 mm thickness Tabe 5 adaptable with above valve having thickness as per IS code, nuts and bolts and then testing of same on full load.
Supply installation, testing and commissioning of DN 80, PN 16 Air Release Valve, ISI marked, conforming to IS 14846 for 450 mm ND delivery main with following specifications: - Material of construction: - a) Body, Bonnet : Ductile iron b) Float : Polyethylene/Stainless Steel c) O rings : NBR/EPDM d) Washers & Bolts : Galvanized steel The job also includes providing and fitting of RI cloth/rubber washer, fasteners vertical 80 mm Dia MS tail piece of 600 mm in length arrangement of MS flanges of 12/18 mm thickness adaptable with above valve on one side heaving thickness as per IS code, and then testing of same on full load.

Providing, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 870 kW Liquid Resistance Starters (LRS) for 11 kV Slip Ring Motors having below mentioned specifications; Enclosure: The starter shall be floor mounting type with welded steel tank, with drip proof enclosure, complete with three insulated metal chambers inside the tank, overflow outlet, level indicator, drain with gate valve and screened vapour relief vent. Electrolyte: the starter shall be supplied with liberal quantity of dry alkaline salt, sodium carbonate, for preparation of first filling of electrolyte with sufficient spare quantity. Electrode: The starter shall be provided with easily renewable moving electrodes of suitable design to provide equal resistance between each pair of electrodes for balanced and stable star point in all positions of moving electrodes. The starter shall be complete with liberal dimensioned copper shunts, copper straps and heavy copper to copper shorting bars to carry maximum balanced three phase rotor currents and creating an insulated star point outside the motor in the rotor circuit. The moving electrode system shall be operated by a pilot motor suitable for operation on 400/200 ± 10% V, 50 Hz supply. Necessary gear box shall be provided to reduce the speed of electrodes; Limit switches shall be provided to cut off the motor circuit at the end of traverse of moving contacts in either direction to prevent over travel of electrodes. Indicating lamps shall be provided at conspicuous place on the starter. Complete provision shall be made for operation of starter manually by hand cranking. Other Requirements: The starter shall be liberally designed to meet and satisfy the starting and continuous full load running requirements of the motor. To protect the motor windings against starting surge the design of the starter shall be such as to ensure that the rotor circuit is never open circuited in the starter and even in off position of the starter a star balanced high resistance is forced in the electrolyte. The starter shall be provided with local push button control for operation of the pilot motor of the starter in either direction. This push button control shall be duplicated in respective motor control panel board and also on the operating console. An emergency push button shall be provided on the starter for emergency tripping. Another push button shall be provided for remote closing of motor control HT switch gear from starter itself.
