Earth work excavation over areas by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means to required profile, level, grade, camber etc. in all soils as mentioned below (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.50m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan area) including dressing of excavated area, re filling with approved excavated materials in layers not exceeding 150 mm watering, consolidation to obtain 90% proctor density and stacking / disposing the surplus excavated materials within a lead of 500 m and all inherent lift etc. to the required location etc. complete all as per specification, drawing and as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge.

Providing and laying in position PLUM concrete with 50% cement concrete of 1:3:6 (1cement, 3 coarse sand, 6 graded stone aggregate of maximum size 20mm) and 50% 90mm to 150mm size soling stones spreading uniformly including necessary form work, machine mixing, transporting, consolidation, finishing curing etc., complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer In Charge.
Extra for providing RMC (Ready Mixed Concrete) conforming to IS 4926 (latest) in lieu of conventional PCC items supplied by approved RMC manufacturer's for all type of structural elements including transporting, pumping etc. complete as per instruction of Engineer in Charge.
Reinforced Cement Concrete of grade M-30 in foundation, plinth & superstructure for all type of Structural/ RCC Elements conforming to I.S.456-2000 using 20mm. maximum size downgraded stone aggregate including machine mixing, conveying, placing in position, mechanical consolidation, finishing, curing etc.complete as per specifications and drawings for the following etc. complete as directed by Engineer -in- Charge. NOTES FOR REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE :- a) Cement for structural works shall be OPC/ PPC ISI marked and duly approved by the Engineer in Charge. b) PPC/ blended cement of ISI marked shall only be used for finishing works on prior approval of Engineer in Charge. c) All RCC work shall be controlled concrete unless otherwise specified and shall be carried out strictly in accordance with the drawings and specifications. d) The rates for RCC works shall be exclusive of cost of reinforcement and form work unless otherwise mentioned. e) All coarse aggregate to be of 20mm. maximum size & uniformly graded unless otherwise mentioned. f) The water tank and other tanks shall be executed strictly as per following criteria without any additional cost. i) The water tank and other tank work shall be executed as per IS 3370 latest editions in addition to other relevant IS code mentioned elsewhere. ii) The minimum cement content for water retaining structures tank shall not be less than 330 kg/cum and not more than 400 kg/cum. iii) During construction of raft slab of underground tank, lift pit dewatering shall be continuously carried out to avoid developent of water pressure. iv) Dead load in the form of sand bag shall be placed on the raft slab of underground tank, lift pit, so as to counteract the pore pressure untill the walls are constructed and back filling is done. Number of sand bags required and time period of loading etc. shall be at the descretion of the Engineer in Charge. g) For all RCC items, the rates quoted shall include the following without any extra cost to the Department. i) Spacers to maintain clear cover for reinforcement. ii) Fixing at correct level and in proper alignment the inserts, pipe sleeves, pipe bends, hooks, other pipe specials etc. supplied by/ through the Department. iii) Test for Concrete shall be done as per IS 456-2000 and the cost of the same shall be borne by contractor.

Extra for providing RMC (Ready Mixed Concrete) for all type of Structural/ RCC elements conforming to IS 4926 (latest) in lieu of conventional RCC items supplied by approved RMC manufacturers including transporting, pumping etc. as per instructions of the Engineer-in- Charge. Notes: i) The contractor shall obtain prior approval for RMC manufacturer from Engineer in Charge in writing. ii) The rate shall apply for all levels and locations including all type of structures etc. iii) Extra for RMC in lieu of conventional RCC and PCC of any grade mentioned elsewhere shall be measured and paid under this item for substructure works.
Providing, erecting, fixing in position striking/removing and cleaning steel/ timber shuttering & centering for form work in foundation, plinth & superstructure at all locations for all geometrical shapes in plain, curved surfaces of structural/ RCC elements including chamfers, splays, keys, wedges, props, rails, bracings, brackets, cutting holes for pipes, EPs etc., providing & applying approved form oil on all surfaces of form work coming in contact with concrete including close hacking of all exposed concrete work after removal of form work, all materials, labour etc.complete as per specifications drawings & as directed by Engineer in charge. Notes for formwork a) Area of form work in contact with concrete shall only be measured for payment and stop boards for construction joints will not be measured for payment. b) The rate of form work shall include all type of structural/ RCC elements and geometric shapes including circular and any other curved surfaces. c) For double/ multi stage shuttering design calculations and details / drawings for scaffolding shall be submitted by the contractor well in advance. Prior written approval of formwork shall be obtained from Engineer in Charge, before commencement of work. d) Nothing extra shall be entertained for revision in drawings

Reinforcement for RCC work including supplying, delivering, storing of various diameters asrequired at site of work including loading,unloading, transporting, decoiling, straightening,cutting, bending, placing in position at all locations & levels and binding with 18 gauge, softdrawn annealed steel binding wire including carrying out various tests as required etc. all as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the Engineer- in- Charge. A) Thermo Mechanically Treated bars of grade Fe-500D manufactured by SAIL, TATA STEEL, JSPL, RINL and JSW only. Note:- The cost of binding wire shall be borne by the contractor and binding wire shall not be measured for payment.

Supplying, laying & fixing water bar of following size/ make to correct level, grade & alignment between the joint of RCC walls of water tank including cleaning the construction joints of loose mortar & dust, applying primer as directed, unroll the water bar slowly & carefully on the joint without pulling & stretching it too much after the primer has set including tying the water bar to the reinforcement bars as directed all complete as per manufacturer's specification. Dr. fixit Non swellable water bar NSW 2525 manufactured by M/s Pidilite Industries Ltd.

Providing random rubble masonry with rough dressed hard stone below plinth in foundation, retaining wall etc. in cement mortar 1:6 including through stone, header stone, bondstone, quoins etc. well packed including filling thei nterstices with smaller stone chips, striking, raking out joints & finishing the joints, including scaffolding, curing etc. all complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Cement pointing 20mm thk. to random rubble masonry wall with cement mortar 1:3 using ready mix mortar including raking out joints, pointing neatly and finishing the joints, curing, scaffolding etc. complete all as per specification, drawing and as directed by the Engineer in Charge.
Raised and cut pointing
Disposing off the surplus excavated materials/ debris by mechanical transport to the specified dumping areas designated by MCGM including all leads, lifts, loading, unloading, stacking, spreading, levelling etc. all complete as per specifications & as directed by the Engineer in Charge. Note: Voids @ 20% for soils and 50% for soft rock/hard rock shall be deducted from fully loaded truck measurements to arrive at the net quantity for payment, in case direct measurement is not possible. Agency shall get approval for debris management plan from MCGM before disposal.
Disposing off the surplus excavated materials/ debris by mechanical transport to the dumping areas inside Anushaktinagar with all leads, lifts, loading, unloading, as per specifications & as directed by the Engineerin Charge. Note: i) Voids @ 20% for soils and 50% for soft /hard rock shall be deducted from fully loaded truck measurements to arrive at the net quantity for payment, in case direct measurement is not possible. ii)Disposal of debris/excavated material shall be carried out with prior written approval of Engineer In Charge .
Providing and laying dry rubble stone hard core soling of following consolidated thickness in subbase to floor and in plinth protection to required levels and lines with first quality rubble, hand set, well packed including filling the interstices with smaller stone chips, supplying & finishing /blinding the surfaces with approved blinding quality murrum including watering, consolidation etc. all complete as per specification, drawings & as directed by Engineer in Charge.

MASONRY WORK Brick masonry work in substructure for foundation and plinth, cable pits, trench, steps etc. using well burnt bricks from approved lot, of class designation 35(classification as per IS 1077-1992 and min. average compressive strength not less than 3.50N/mm2 ) in cement mortar 1: 6 to correct line, level and plumb including raking out joints/ simultaneous flush pointing with cement mortar 1:4, curing etc. complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Brick masonry in super structure at all floors and locations using well burnt bricks from approved lot of class designation 35 (classification as per IS 1077-1992 and min. average compressive strength not less than 3.50 N/mm2 ) in cement mortar 1:6 in 230mm walls to correct line, level and plumb including raking out joints, curing, scaffolding etc. complete as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. FLOORING WORK Cement concrete 50mm thick in flooring with metallic hardner topping at all floors and locations, consisting of under layer of 38mm. thick cement concrete in grade 1:2:4 with 12mm. size aggregate and top layer 12mm. thick metallic concrete hardner wearing surface, cement being mixed with metallic flooring hardner of approved make in proportion of 4:1 (4 cement : 1 metallic floor hardner) by weight and cement hardner compound mixed with 6mm. down graded stone aggregate in the ratio of 1:2 by volume including form work, consolidation finishing to required level including providing and fixing aluminium strips of size 25mm x 3mm for panels of about 2 sq.m size. etc. complete as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. Cement plaster skirting 18mm thick (upto 100mm height) with cement mortar 1:3 using Ready Mix Plaster finished smooth with a floating coat of neat cement correct to line, level and plumb including rounding of junctions with flooring etc., complete as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. DOORS AND WINDOWS Providing & fixing in position Galvanised pressed steel door at all floor and location of required sizes for the following made out of 16 gauge of grade VIII galvanised MS sheets generally conforming to IS 4351-1976, with two (top & bottom) horizontal and two vertical members door frame made out of 16 gauge grade VIII galvanised MS frames of size 80x55mm bent to shape as required with mechanical jointing at all junctions by providing 50 x 50 mm angle cleat made with 16G, G.I sheet one side welded to vertical member and another side with anchor fasteners and sleeves to horizontal member for fixing the frame to floor/ ceiling, vertical members fixed to wall with threaded sleeves of standard quality at 600mm centre to centre including providing 16 Gauge G.I sheet, 80mm wide to vertical stiffener at centre to the full height for each shutter bent to proper shape and providing 16G. G.I sheet louvers at top and bottom with G.I. wire mesh as shown in drawing including providing necessary locking arrangement, 4 nos. detachable type hinges for each shutter (with bolt & nut arrangement) including cost of all materials, labour, drilling cutting, fabricating, welding fixing fasteners, bolts, nuts, washers etc. including wastages, chasing, good the same to match with surrounding finishing, grouting the fasteners sleeves in cement concrete 1:2:4 to fix the frame over brick wall etc. and painting all the exposed surfaces of frame and shutter with 2 coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved make and colour over a coat of approved yellow zinc chromate primer over a coat of "etch" primer for all surfaces all as per the drawing and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. Door type D1 of size 1000x2100 mm
Providing and fixing in position gear type operated by mechanically winding handle, steel rolling shutter of following size conforming to IS6248 latest consists of 75mm (3") wide 18 GI laths consisting interlocked together through their entire length and jointed together at the end by end locks including all necessary fixtures & fittings and MS top hood, guide channels, shutter suspension shaft with tested springs, ball bearing, ceiling strips, locking arrangement from inside and outside, crank handles etc., fixing guides in masonry/ concrete with necessary coach screws, brackets, including providing and fixing 600mm wide jalli throughout the width of shutter, painting two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved make and colour over a coat of approved steel primer generally as per drawings, specifications as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. ALUMINIUM DOORS & WINDOWS Supplying and fixing in position at all floors integrated bronze anodised matt finished [15micron thick], aluminium section [extruded] for aluminium Doors / windows - sliding top hung/ fixed/ adjustable louvered windows / wall spans etc. as per drawing of approved manufactures with extruded sections of Jindal / Hindalco / Alomextrutions or other approved equivalent sections with size and weights as shown in the drawing, for frames and shutters [including wastages if any] conforming to relevant I.S specifications with all approved Bronze anodised aluminium fittings and accessories, locking arrangements, 2/3 rollers with ball bearings for sliding shutters of approved quality all as shown in the drawing, including providing and fixing aluminium channel beading / glazing clips fixed with necessary bronze anodised screws, grouting the gap with thermocole & silicon sealant etc. all complete generally as per drawings, specifications etc., all as directed by Engineer in Charge, but excluding the cost of glazing, which will be paid separately. Providing and fixing following type of approved quality glass panes for doors/ windows/ ventilators, of M/s. Modiguard and fixing with Aluminium frame work including fixing aluminium channel beading (to be paid under relevant item) and providing and fixing with 2 way EDPM gasketing, to ensure water and air tightness and neoprenecushions / gasket accommodated in grooves,necessary bronze anodized screws etc., all complete generally as per drawings specifications and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. WATERPROOFING TREATMENT Providing and laying integral cement based waterproofing treatment of the agency approved by Department, including preparation of surface as required for treatment of roofs, balconies, terraces etc. complete as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the Engineer-in-charge consisting of the following operations, as per IS:2645:2003, With average thickness of 115mm and minimum thickness at drain point as 65 mm. Work includes:- a) Applying and grouting a slurry coat of neat cement using 2.75 kg/SqM of cement admixed with proprietary water proofing compound over the RCC slab including cleaning the surface before treatment. b) Laying cement concrete using broken bricks/ brick bats 25 mm to 100 mm size with 50% of cement mortar 1:5 (1 cement : 5 coarse sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound over 20 mm thick layer of cement mortar of mix 1:5 (1 cement : 5 coarse sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound to required slope and treating similarly the adjoining walls upto 300 mm height including rounding of junctions of walls and slabs. c) After two days of proper curing applying a second coat of cement slurry admixed with proprietary waterproofing compound. d) Finishing the surfaces with 20 mm thick jointless cement mortar of mix 1:4(1 cement 4coarse sand) admixed with proprietary waterproofing compound and finally finishing the surface with trowel with neat cement slurry and making of 300 x 300 mm square false lines. e) The whole terrace so finished shall be flooded with water for a minimum period of two weeks for curing and for final test. All above operations tobe done in order and as directed and specified by the Engineer-in-Charge. Please refer additional notes for this item.

Providing and laying patent box type cement based water proofing treatment of approved agency for raft of basement, raft of tank and vertical walls etc. at all levels & locations as per specification of the water proofing agency including cleaning of surfaces, curing and testing the basement raft for water tightness, rectification of defects if any, etc. complete as per specification and drawing and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge as per the following. Please refer additional notes for this item.
Providing 50 mm to 70mm thick water proofing treatment for base /floor consisting of : - i) 1st layer shahabad stone of approx. size 600x600x20mm thick of approved quality, (roughstone slab) over a 25mm thick base of cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement:3 course sand) mixed with waterproofing compound conforming to IS:2645 in the recommended proportion. Joints sealed and grouted with cement slurry mixed with waterproofing compound conforming to IS: 2645 in proportions recommended by the manufacturer. ii) 2nd layer of 25mm thick cement mortar 1:3 (1cement : 3 coarse sand ) mixed with water proofing compound in recommended proportions. iii) Finishing top with stone aggregate of 10mm to 12mm nominal size spreading @ 8cudm/sqm thoroughly embedded in the 2nd layer.
Providing and laying integral cement based treatment for water proofing on the vertical surface by fixing shahabad stone of approx. size 600x600x20mm thick of approved quality, (roughstone slab) with cement slurry mixed with waterproofing compound conforming to IS: 2645 in recommended proportion with a gap of 20mm(minimum) between stone slabs and the receiving surfaces and filling the gaps with neat cement slurry mixed with water proofing compound and finishing the exterior stone slab with cement mortar1:4(1 cement: 4 coarse sand) 20mm thick with neat cement punning mixed with water proofing compound in recommended proportion complete at all levels and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- i) The measurement for payment shall be as per actual area covered by the treatment. ii) A working space of about 600 mm shall have to be provided in the excavation separately for treatment of exterior faces of walls and will be measured under respective item. iii) The cost of cement concrete of grade cement concrete 1:3:6 is not included in this item and is to be catered for measurement separately in the relevant item.
Providing cement based waterproofing treatment by 'Injection & Surface' method of the agency approved by the dept. cement based water proofing treatment of 50 mm. and 25mm. thick for the floor and walls respectively of underground water tanks finished perfectly smooth to correct line, level and plumb including preparing the existing surfaces, necessary scaffolding, curing etc. complete as per waterproofing agency's specifications and testing water tank for the water tightness and rectification of defects, if any to render the outer surface bone dry etc. complete as per specifications, drawings & as directed by the Engineer in charge. PLASTERING WORK : Internal plaster using Ready Mix cement mortar of thickness mentioned below at all height, floors, slopes and locations on plain or curved surfaces including rounding wherever required, including preparing the surface even & smooth to correct line, level, plain and plumb including scaffolding, curing etc. complete as per manufacturer's specifications and as per instructions of Engineer in charge. 6mm. thick plaster in cement mortar 1:4 for ceiling, exposed concrete surfaces, soffits of all slabs, coffered slab beams of all size & shapes on plain/ curved surfaces including rounding wherever required, soffit of Staircase waist slab etc. including providing and adding bonding agent of Dr. Fixit Pidicrete MPB including applying a slurry coat of cement & bonding agent (1:1 Volume mix) with a brush before plaster is applied (internal brick/ concrete suface) Note:- Dosage of bonding agent shall be as per manufacturer's specifications.
For substructure finishing smooth with a coat of neat finish.
For superstructure
15mm thick plaster in cement mortar1:4 mix for internal brick/concrete surfaces for all walls and beams flush with walls, mullions etc.
For superstructure
Providing Sand faced external / internal plaster using Ready Mix External / internal plaster of approved make at all heights and locations including scaffolding, preparing the surfaces, hacking wherever necessary, finishing and rendering with sponge to correct line, level and plumb, curing including making grooves, vatas, plaster fluting (plaster in steps) etc. wherever required complete as per specification, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in Charge. 20 mm. thick in two coats for brick/ concrete surfaces (external / internal) (back coat and finishing coat of 10 mm. thick each) with waterproofing agent @ 2% by weight of cement or as per manufacturer's specifications.
12 mm thick in single coat for independent concrete surfaces
Extra over plastering items for making and finishing in matching plaster finish (interior & exterior) grooves of following approximate sizes as per drawing in plaster, at all floors and locations to proper line, level and plumb all as per specifications and drawings.
Providing vatas 150 x 150 mm. at junction of walls and chhajjas, canopies etc. with cement mortar 1:3 to match the surrounding plaster to the required profile including adding waterproofing compound @2% by weight of cement or as per manufacturer's specifications, scaffolding, curing etc. complete as per specifications and drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in- charge.
PAINTING WORK : Providing and applying 1.5mm thick cement basewall care putty in two coats of M/s. Birla White at all floors and locations, over plastered surfaces finished smooth to correct line level, plain, plumb etc., including preparing the surfaces, scaffolding, smoothening the putty surfaces with very fine waterproof emery paper to get a glossy finish etc.complete as per specifications, manufacturers specifications, drawings & as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Notes for dismantling items: i) Before commencement of any demolishing/ dismantling works inventories of all serviceable materials areto be accounted along with Engineer inCharge.
