Material and labour for water proofing to sunken portions of WCs, bathroom and kitchen etc by applying water based, cold applied, single component, elastomericin-situ seamless monolithic coating ready to use acrylic modified bituminous liquid membrance with the procedure in sequence all as specified and as directed. SURFACE PREPARATION (i) Removing all loose gravel, dirt, oil, grease and foreign matter by jet of dry air and cleaning the surface mechanically or by grinding to make it smooth before application. (ii) Repairing all cracks by cutting “V” groove and fill with PMC mortar prepared in the ratio of Shalicrete : cement : sand (1:2:5) or equivalent. (iii) Providing 50 mm x 50 mm coving made out of PMC mortar as above. MATERIAL PREPARATION (i) Stir TarFelt® LM or equivalent by a slow speed mixture (approx. 400 rpm) fitted with a suitable mixing paddle to ensure a homogenous mix. (ii) After stirring, wait for the product to settle in order to let entrapped air escape. Condt/--104

Condt/--103 WATERPROOFING APPLICATION (i) Slightly damp the surface. Avoid standing water / ponding. (ii) Prime the surface with a mixture of TarFelt® LM or equivalent and potable water in the ratio of 50:50 and apply @400 grm / m2 of the mixture and allow it to touch dry. (iii) Apply first coat of TarFwlt® LM @ 0.70 kg / m2 by brush / roller / airless spray while the primed surface is tracky, For faster and smoother application, airless spray is preferred. (iv) Spread fiber glass net of 45 gsm with overlap of 50 mm in both directions when the surface is till tackty. (v) Allow 1st coat to dry for 10-12 hrs. (vi) Apply second coat of TarFelt® LM @ 0.70 kg m2 by brush / roller / airless spray for final DFT of 1000 micron in two coats inclusive of fibre glass of 45 gsm (theoretical coverage depending on surface conditions). (vii) Sprinkle sand @ 200 grm / m2 over the final vertical coating when the surface is still tackty to facilitate plastering. (viii) Ensure final curing time of 36 hrs before allowing / carrying out any further work. (ix) Conduct ponding test after 7 days of curing at ambient temperature.

Impregnating cream for injection into masonry or conarete wall 230mm thick against capilary rising humidity. Raising bar super strong (product No. 201) of chowgale building chemicals or equivalent pidilite / Dr Fixit / sika / Foscrock complete all as specified and directed. METHOD OF APPLICATION (a) The surface must be sound, absorbent, clean, free of dust, oil, paint, curing agents, loose cement or lime plaster & concrete, debris or any separation layers. (b) The plaster must be knocked off at least 50cm beyond the visibly penetrated area. (c) Damaged mortar joints are to be scraped out to a depth approximately 2-3cm. All sharp edges / joints need to be leveled, loose concrete to be removed. (d) Drill boreholes at ground level horizonally. The boreholes are drilled horizontal into the masonry. Condt/--106

Condt/--105 (e) The holes should be drilled until a depth of approx. 5cm (for a 6cm thick wall) before the end of the walls is reached. The bore holes should have a diameter of 12mm upto a maximum of 15mm and should be spaced approx. 100 to 120mm apart and the vertical offset is 6cm max. (f) Before inserting rising bar super strong or equivalent the bore holes must be cleaned from boring dust by using air pressure. It is not necessary to pre wet bore holes. (g) For applying of rising bar super strong or equivalent the dosing system inserted as far as possible into the boreholes. While dosing the product uniformly, injection nozzle is pulled out leading to a completely filled borehole. (h) Treatment of highly absorbent masonry might require repeated filling of the borehole. Depending upon extent of damage, Rising bar super strong or equivalent can be re-injected into the same hole after 24 hrs. Depending on absorbency, application or masonry thickness 0.1 to 0.15 lit/m with 10cm wall thickness. Than give No of holes/RM details
