PROVN OF POTABLE WATER THROUGH CONTRACT DURING FAILURE OF BWSSB WATER SUPPLY UNDER GE SOUTH BANGALORE

Amount

Filling only potable drinking water from any water points from one location and unloading/ filling to semi/underground sump situated on other places within defence areas including transportation not exceeding 6 KM distance from filling point to delivery point, all as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note for item 1 and 2:- (a) Water supply shall commence within a short notice of 03 Hrs and shall be completed within 12 Hrs of placing order. (b) If water is not supplied within 12 Hrs, penalty shall be levied at double the cost of supply order. (c) Contractor shall responsible for quality of water to be supplied by him under this contract, if the consumer have any health issues or medical problems, contractor shall be responsible for such related issues and liabilities if any shall be borne by the contractor. (d) If any court case is filed by consumers on this account the same shall be dealt by contractor at his own expenditure. (e) Saparete analysis and testing of water shall be carried out by the contractor by collecting samples from various areas/ locations as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge and same will be measured and paid saparatly under item No.3 here-in-after.

Taking out samples of water supplied by contractor from borewell of all area, civil/defence and carryout water analysis test for chemical & biological properties and obtaining test report from any Govt of Karnataka State authorised agencies like Bangalore University (Civil Engg Dept), Bangalore or National Test House, Bangalore as directed and original test report shall be submitted to Engr-in-Charge.

Collecting the water samples from receiving point from BWSSB and testing the sample for the following parameters and submission of the test report to the Engr-in-Charge in prescribed format all as directed:- (a) Turbidity (b) Total hardness (As CaCO3 in mg/l) (c) Sulphate (As SO2 in mg/l) (d) Iron (As Fe in mg/l) (e) Magnesium (As Mg in mg/l) (f) E Coli or thermo tolernat coliform Bacteria

Collecting the water samples from supply points of various pumping installations and testing of the sample for the following parameters and submission of the test report to the Engr-in-Charge in prescribed format all as directed:- (a) Turbidity (b) Total hardness (As CaCO3 in mg/l) (c) Sulphate (As SO2 in mg/l) (d) Iron (As Fe in mg/l) (e) Magnesium (As Mg in mg/l) (f) E Coli or thermo tolernat coliform Bacteria NOTE (FOR ITEM NO 4 & 5):- (a) The sample should be collected in sterilized bottles. (b) The samples should be tested in govt approved test laboratory (c) The details of the supply points and pumping installations are as follows:- 1) Field Marshal Kariappa Colony Pump House 2) 56 Coy Supply Depot Pump House 3) KR Rao Barracks Pump House 4) CMP Centre & School Pump House 5) DAD/ DCA Pump House 6) HQ K&K Sub Area Pump House
