Complete removal of existing treatment of any type/description such as distempering work, internal emulsion etc from internal surfaces of walls & ceiling with mechanical means/grinder complete all as specified and directed.

Applying acrylic thick wall care putty on internal surfaces of walls/ceilings (thickness vary from 1.5 to 2.5 mm as required for desired smoothness and levelling of surfaces in two or more layers) by using ready made wall care putty including sand papering after filling the putty to make surface smooth and ready for receiving exterior painting complete all as specified and directed. Make of wall Putty : JK wall Putty / Birla Wall care Putty / Bison Wall Putty. Notes : (i) The prepared surface after wall putty, the contractor will inform to the GE as well as to the Engineer-in-Charge for site inspection before applying further external finishes. Please note that the further external finishes work will start only after approval of the prepared surface from the GE as well as to the Engineer-in-Charge through site order.

Applying 02 coats of interior emulsion paint (light shade) @ 10 sq.m/litre/2 coats by using roller to wall surfaces over & including a coat of interior wall primer @ 10 sq.m/litre/1 coat as recommended for under coat by manufacturer of interior emulsion by using following brands of emulsion and primer complete all as specified and directed. Make of Interior Wall Primer : Asian / Berger / Nerolac [Best Quality]. Make of Interior Emulsion : Asian (TRACTOR) / Berger (BISON) / Nerolac (BEAUTY SMOOTH) .

Applying 02 coats of interior emulsion paint (white shade) @ 10 sq.m/litre/2 coats to ceiling surfaces over & including a coat of interior wall primer @ 10 sq.m/litre/1 coat as recommended for under coat by manufacturer of interior emulsion by using following brands of emulsion and primer complete all as specified and directed. Make of Interior Wall Primer : Asian / Berger / Nerolac [Best Quality]. Make of Interior Emulsion : Asian (TRACTOR) / Berger (BISON) / Nerolac (BEAUTY SMOOTH) .

Preparing old plastered/unplastered surfaces of walls and applying three coats of white wash by making the lime slaked at site and shall be mixed and stirred with about five liters of water for 1 kg of unslaked lime to make a thin cream. This shall be allowed to stand for a period of 24 hours and shall then be screened through clean coarse cloth. 1 kg of gum dissolved in hot water shall be added to every one cubic meter of lime cream. About 1.3 Kg of sodium chloride dissolved in hot water shall also be added for every 10 kg of lime for making the coating hard and rub-resistant. Small quantity of ultramarine blue (upto 3 gm per kg of lime) shall also be added to the last two coats of white wash solution and the whole solution shall be stirred thoroughly before use complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Preparing old painted wood & wood based surfaces of any description, not otherwise described over 10 cm width or girth and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Make : Asian Paints/Berger/Nerolac (Ist Quality)

Cutting down plants/trees/bushes of girth not exc 15 cm from roof tops/sides, externals walls of building, chajja wall junctions, junctions of rain water/ CI/ Soil waste/ Vent pipes including taking out roots entered into walls/slab surfaces, then spraying the affected area with solutions of 25 ml Glyphosphate (4% content) diluted with 1 ltr of water or as per manufacture's instructions & making good the surface using PCC (1:2:4), type B0 or cement mortar 1:3 as per site requirement with necessary scaffolding/stagging etc. any height from ground level, complete all as specified & as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note :-1. Any PVC pipes, brick works damaged during the execution of the work shall be replaced with new one to ensure leak/seepage free joint. 2. The width of such wk will be measured 0.50 sq.m extra beyond roots of the plants.

Stainless steel wire cloth of 0.36mm nominal dia of wire and average width of aperture 1.10mm and fixed with tinned tacks or galvanized wire staples or with wooden beads, screws and nuts botls etc. Complete fixed as in repair all as directed.

CRACKS AND CHAJJA REPAIRS, ROOF CLEANING AND WATERPROOFING ETC.

Repair to RCC sunshades, Chajjas, Balconies, Columns, bands, beams and similar RCC work at any position/height by dismantling loose/disintegrated portion and dubbing out with Cement Concrete 1:1½:3, 15mm to 50mm thick using 6 to 12mm graded stone aggregate to make up and finished to required shape including provision of necessary supports if required and stitching of cracks with mild steel U clamps made out of 8mm dia @ 150mm c/c with inserting concrete block stretcher with cement mortar 1:3 mixed with adhesive chemical (Polymer based) and reinforced with PVC chicken mesh including form work where ever required and finished with10 mm thick plastering in CM 1:4 finished even and fair without using extra cement including preparation of surfaces to receive finishes complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for sunken floor treatment without disturbing the existing treatment by applying siliconate injection grouting using nozzles. The spacing of holes will be 2 Nos, holes in every 1.00m, using 12 to 15mm diameter drill bit, drill holes at an inclination of 45 degree to the extent of 1/2 to 3/4 the wall thickness & injecting in the lowset possible point almost touching the defective damp proofing course depending upon the severity of dampness and the materils used in the walls & in its construction. A hand pump sfficient to create pressure of approx 3kg/sqm must inject chemical through pressure grouting machine, inject the diluted liquid (1:4) by pumping till the point of return of liquid is felt (minimum 10 litres) & allow to remain for some time before moving to the next nozzle & observing the area for 24 hours including removing the extended/protruding nozzles & seal the holes with suitable compound. The treated areas should be washed thoroughly and followed by application of two coats of water based hygienic coat containing in entire scrapped area and including removing of old materials of any description, all as per manufecturer's instruction, making good the holes after treatment complete all as specified and directed. (Make : M/S Build Core, M/S Pidilite, M/S STP as approved by the GE)

ANTI TERMITE TREATMENT

Treatment of voids in masonary using ATT chemical emulsion @ one litre per hole, at 300mm interval including drilling holes at 45 degree and plugging them with cement mortar 1:2 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand) to match the existing floor/wall surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

EFFLORESCENCE TREATMENT

Removing existing plaster over the affected bricks to be removed using mechanical means. The affected bricks to be completely exposed complete all as specified and directed.

Apparent visible efflorescence to be first cleaned using hard wire brush and all cyrstal deposits to be removed. The bricks shall then be cleaned using soft brush of powdery crystals removed. Then make a 1 to 4 solution of vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 4 parts water) and apply it to the efflorescence affected area using a nylon brush. Allow the vinegar/ water solution to sit on the surface of the affected area for 15 minutes, but do not allow the solution to dry. Rinse the area with clean water, using low pressure jet. Two cycles of cleaning using vinegar water solution to be repeated complete all as specified and directed.

The joints of bricks so cleaned shall be pointed using cement putty made a site using Sika Latex/SBR polymer diluted at ratio of 1:4 with water. The solution so made shall be used to be mixed with cement to make a putty consistency paste. The cement putty shall be then worked out in the joints which are clean and in SSD condition.

The bricks so pointed shall be cleaned of all dust or deposit using brush. A undiluted single component acrylic polymer-Sika Raintite, to be used to prime the brick surface. The primer while being tacky the first coat of water proofing coating is done, second coat is applied after a time interval of 4-6 hours after the first coat has dried. The water proofing coating shall be two component polymer modified cementitious coating-Sika top seal-107, having a thickness of 1.5mm in two coats. The material to be factory batched and ready to use. The two components shall be mixed using low speed drill having a RPM 350-450 and fitted with a paddle. The mixing to be done for 3-4 mintues to give a brush able consistency mix. The coating shall be done using brush 100-150mm wide brush. It is to be take care that material while being used is agitated every 3-5 mintues to avoid powder part getting settled. The water proofing coating shall have below properties Tensile Strength - 4.56 N/mm2 after 14 days exposure (According to ASTM D 2370) Bond Strength 2.0 N/mm2 at + 27o C (failure in substate). After application of second coat and while the material is still wet, coarse sand is sprinkled over the coating so as to ensure proper mechanical key is provided for subsequent plaster.

M&L for plastering 15mm thick over the treated surface shall be done with 1:4 cement sand plaster added with acrylic polymer-Sika Plastocrete Plus, @ 3% by weight of cement.
