Rough excavation not exceeding 1.5 m deep and getting out Hard/dense soil all as specified.

Excavating in trenches, n exc 1.5 m wide and n exc 1.5 m in depth; for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. n exc 10 sq m on plan and n exc 1.5 m in depth and getting out any type of any soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Removal of excavated material to a distance exc. 250m and n.exc 500m and depositing where directed at a level not exc. 1.5m above the starting point all as specified and as directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm all as specified and as directed.

Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting with 8 to 12 tonne power roller, including filling in soft spots, depressions, etc. which occur during rolling (for portion coming in cutting/original ground only) to required camber and gradient, etc. including watering before or during rolling, all complete all as specified and as directed

150 mm thick (spread thickness) soling (or sub base) with broken boulders or quarried stones of size range 100 to 50mm, deposited, spread, levelled in one layer, interstices filled, surface formed and rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and as directed

150 mm thick (compacted thickness) water bound macadam (WBM) with coarse aggregates (sand stone or quartzite) of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) for bottom layer and grading 3 (50 to 20mm size) for top layer of WBM, spread, rolled and consolidated with 8 to 12 tonnes power roller, each layer to be rolled and consolidated separately to required gradient and camber, complete all as specified and as directed.

Preparing unsurfaced water bound macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a tack coat bituminous primer at 10Kg per 10 Square metre (bitumen VG-30) all as specified and as directed

Bituminous premix asphaltic semi-dense concrete, 40mm (consolidated thickness) with 5.5 % binder content (bitumen VG-30) by weight of total mix laying, spreading by using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to a uniform smooth surface, complete all as specified and as directed.

Continuous brick edging with width equal to width of the brick laid dry on end vertically with old size bricks including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil and removal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 metre, complete all as specified and as directed.
